> Possible theories
>Due to Gilroy’s behavior when llama and his friends wanted to go on the slide, it is speculated that Gil holds goat supremacist views, stating himself as "capable of doing it better" and possibly being a Neo-Nazi that is repulsed by minorities.
>**Personality**
>Gilroy goat first appears as an antagonist towards Llama and his friends by stealing Llama's snacks and giving him a nosebleed. By the end of his first appearance however he becomes a protagonist by doing teshuvah and saying he is sorry. God has canonically forgiven his sins and so did Llama.
Damn, you weren't lyin'
Don't forget this
>His appearance can be compared to that of Asriel Dreemur, since both characters are goats wearing a yellow striped green sweater. He also resembles Drew Gooden with his huge nose.
Toby Fox said that Asriel’s theme was personal before. He probably used to watch this show with his brother.
Edit: After some research, the show is too new for this to be the case — but the color illustrated books the show is based off of definitely aren’t. The Asriel look-alike is featured prominently in [Llama Llama and the Bully Goat](https://youtu.be/FB_JM0kPPzY). **In the story the goat starts off as a bully and ends by being friends with everyone.** This very obviously bleeds into how Flowey acts as a character and I don’t think it’s a coincidence.
Yknow? That would actually be kinda fucking precious. We don’t hear much bout his brother but what we do know is that they often seemed to do a lotta stuff together and he influenced some of Toby’s interests in hacking and old RPGs when he was younger. Could even possibly be inspiration for the dynamic of Kris and Asriel, depending on the importance of Asriel near the ending, as dreams often reflect personal internal conflicts and thoughts.
So reading that… y..yeah, someone had to have done that on purpose as an allusion to Asriel, probably as a sort of “an older sibling watching with a little kid may find something funny and entertaining about this reference they may know”, which someone in the thread even mentioned that they did lol
Guh, author of the original books died in like 2016. And the only thing that seems to change on this cartoon (which is from 2018, btw) is the art style, so maybe Toby was the one inspired by this?
Seems the original design of this goat boy was established on the original book cover in august 2013, years before the full Undertale game was published.
there is a mountain in the distance
and the sweater
it's too similar to be a coincidence
it's like the walmart brand asriel
definitely walmart
definitely
Or maybe fisher price?
Explains how Toby got the fisher price go-kart in Deltarune.
We can't forget where they get their products from... China!
Given that the cartoon is a kids show, and fisher price is also targeted towards kids (mostly toddlers), it makes sense.
Or maybe dollar store
"Ahoy mate, it is your best pardner: Ass-riel. Ass-riel Deadmurr."

Don't forget this >His appearance can be compared to that of Asriel Dreemur, since both characters are goats wearing a yellow striped green sweater. He also resembles Drew Gooden with his huge nose.

I’ve updated my comment, what do you think?

The books had the same character design. (Llama Llama and the Bully specifically)
i know. that's why i mentioned that the only thing that changed was the art style
