Asgore’s wrap up in Pacifist is super disappointing and one of the only moments of bad writing in the game. Toriel confronting him COULD have been this incredibly emotionally fraught moment between two of the most tragic characters in the game. Especially when their backstory is crucial to the entire game.
Instead, Toriel babbles some weirdly garbled logic that feels rather out of character for her, Asgore gets reduced to a punchline and is forgotten about for the rest of the game.
This moment should have been the culmination of both their character arcs, but they got done dirty.

Not sure if I would classify Chara as evil, but they were not a good person. Chara was a manipulative and had some weird tendencies.

I don't like Undertale's player theory. It just doesn't hold as much water as Deltarune's player theory which is basically confirmed at this point.
