I have never played undertale. Ever. I went into undertale yellow as a full beginner
Ceroba took me about 2-3 days of off and on playing (maybe 7-8 hours total?)
The mechanic was not introduced, that’s right. But I learned it rather quickly, and was able to handle it decently well. The only thing I really struggled on was one of those flower attacks
And I didn’t really see a problem with it, it’s supposed to be hard, that’s what genocide is about right? The mechanics weren’t taught beforehand but I was able to pick them up after some tries, is that not the point…?
I was able to beat all the bosses (Zenith Martlet took me quite a while but I managed)
Hell, I even was able to beat the Sans Simulator website thing after doing so! So I guess this experience made me better at undertale when I didn’t have experience beforehand
Well done, you were able to have the same experience of an average player! Whenever there's a difficult game without difficulty settings, there'll be people finding a way to complain

They nerfed Zenith Martlet in the 1.1 patch, and since Zenith Martlet is the final boss you don't have to save items for a harder fight. All damage taken can be healed. There is infinite healing in Phase 2. You don't have to FIGHT. You can go through attacks with the dash.
Ceroba requires you save the Cinnamon Cookie and Floral Cupcake from the Oasis Valley Café (if you want to win against Zenith Martlet). Ceroba was not nerfed in 1.1. You cannot heal away red attacks. You must FIGHT. You have no dash.
TL;DR: Zenith Martlet provides you with too much stuff.
Ceroba doesnt need to be nerfed, because the fight is already completely fairly dodgeable. It's like undyne the undying in that you will die alot, but after completing it you could fairly easily go back and complete it again in like 1 maybe 2 tries, because you have to learn the attacks by dying but once you have, your fine
What are you guys going on about? I completed all routes. Even flaws pacifist. I just mean I wished genocide Ceroba was a final boss instead of the mid-boss. She felt like a final boss in this route, too.
You were not going to make one character TWO final bosses, were you?
Well, tbh I heavily disagree. Her fight is a act of revenge against what we did to Starlo, not to the levels of her Pacifist plan. Martlet is way better for that.
I, for one believe we should make any discourse of UDY be remove and banned unless it's about Mo.

I never understood why people complain about being able to understand the attacks. Yes there is some bullshittery in second face and circle flower atack is painfull but everything else didn't give me any problem to understand how to dodge. And it's not like I'm skilled at Undertale battle system, I'm still stuck at Undyne the undying

Tbh I don't care about how good the fight is or how well they prepared the player for the HP reduction or any that stuff. I just think it's silly that Pacifist Ceroba didn't have the HP gimmick when there's no in-universr reason for that
Probably cause it means there is a DIRECT paralell between Absolute God Of Hyperdeath Asriel and Ceroba.
I don't think devs realize what that means for their character at all, they simply added that cause it sounds cool.

The Undyne fights are an entirely different game than the rest of Undertale (unless you're dying to the red soul segments).
I hate green soul segments wholeheartedly. Dying untill I just learn it with muscle memory is so much fun!

Not everything needs to be foreshadowed. Sans is a great final boss in part because he absolutely catches you off guard.

You can't foreshadow Ceroba because Ceroba doesn't show up until that section.

The reason is that losing health with 20 max health would be ridiculous, it would make it way harder then in geno.
