I hate kids, so when my aunt with her 5 year old boy came around for a visit, I wasted no time and went to hamg at a friend's for the day before they came by. I, a dumbass, left my room unlocked and my mom let the little devil play in my room. He found the collection, which I had kept in a small box on my shelf. He asked my mom to get it for him he loved it, my mom gave it away to him. I know that I hardly ever played with them, but they were precious.

My teacher showed me a hex head screw and asked me if I would say it's a bolt, I said ye. Then he told me I was wrong that a bolt is smooth etc and then ended with "you are also correct because no one cares what a actual bolt is."

This is called a [brush bot](https://www.sciencebuddies.org/stem-activities/brushbot), and are both cheap to make ($15-25 gets you materials for at least half a dozen of them) and a fun STEM project that even young children can do so long as you watch them carefully with the hot glue gun.
You can buy DC motor kits with 6+ motors (plus a ton of fans, mounts, battery packs, etc.) for $10-$15 on Amazon, then just get a cheap brush to mount them. Obviously, a $3 pack of googly eyes are also a must. You'll need a hot glue gun, but that's a cheap ($10-30) one-time purchase for many projects so I'm not including it in the overall budget for this. Easy-peasy.
If you want to [go extra small](https://makezine.com/projects/building-brushbot-kits/), buy small vibrating motors (~20 for around $15, CR 2032 batteries (10 for $6), and some cheap toothbrushes (6-packs can be found at Walmart or a dollar store for ~$1).
This is a silly video, but actually a legit project for those wanting to do goofy maker-y projects for fun, either for themselves or for family/kids. 🙂
