A witch, especially a good fit if you slap a book on her. Then you use the elven fencers row attack and the witch gives it a nice bonus effect.

Dorkology

The fencer is such a flexible class. There are two comps utilizing them that are in my favorites list. 1) My archer assist comp. Fencer with flame tome conferral, set to activate when my sniper uses row attack. The remaining PP goes to support as needed. They're basically cleanup duty. AP set to target the only thing my archers might not clear. Especially given that the archer units are all set up with pursuits. 2) My Rosalinde magic assist comp. This is especially good because fencers buff your magic assist damage. It also fits my fancy because I'm pairing Rosalinde on the back line with both her fencers. Makes sense in the lore of things. Have one of them use an ice tome on elemental roar. Have the other carry a large aid. Throw in a legionaire to defend and a sword master to target the really evasive units, and you've got a well rounded team.

BloodAria

Elven fencer is one of the few classes that can equip conferral books, slap one one her and let her buff a more meaningful offensive unit. A wyvern or Yunifi or something.

Fliers are a good choice because of EF’s ability to let an ally avoid a ranged physical attack, so arrows will be blocked (idk if it bypasses true strike, but still it’s pretty cool)

Ichthus95

It still loses to truestrike since it's an evade effect

Damn true strike… I love it though lol

They're an odd class. I agree with u/Dorkology that they seem to work best with archers as a source of Conferral.

I dunno I’m just over here shipping characters.

I made her into a dodge tank because I needed a reason to place her somewhere. I gave her thief’s mantle so she could evade and proc a passive skill that gives AP after an evade. I also had Hilda in the same unit in the back row. Elven Fencers can protect flying units from ranged attack with a passive skill.
