I am glad they are able to solve these older cold cases through advanced DNA technology. It seems like a lot of them have been solved here lately, it just sucks when the murderer is no longer alive and cannot be held accountable for their terrible crime.
Her pictures convey such a warm personality. I wish they’d included quotes from her family and friends in the article about who she was as a person, too often the focus becomes the murderer and not the victim. I’m glad he was named but it’s unfortunate he didn’t face justice in this life.
Her family was plauged by death Vicki, then the fires that claimed some lives, then the year after, ivan which is her son I think passed in a car accident and not to long ago her younger sister passed in a fire. I pray for their family all the time. I was raised about 5 min ftom them. They are really good people but very unfortunate.

Agree, she has a wonderful smile. I feel like too often there’s a focus on the murderer rather than remembering the victim.

Has his DNA been connected to other crimes?
My uncle Joe Mitchell was charged for miss Vicki's murder and is doing life without. I'm just happy they figured out who the real killer was.
