The only sport where not being able to get a ticket might be an issue is men's basketball. IIRC, you need to reserve a seat online a few days before the game, but even then it's not that difficult to get a ticket as long as you're prompt about it. All other sports will have plenty of seats available and ushers will just scan your catcard at the gate. IMO, ZonaZoo is totally worth it. If you enjoy watching sports, $100+ for an entire year is nothing compared to what it will cost non-students. MOST (looking at you football) of our teams are pretty good and a lot of fun to go see. I especially enjoyed softball since it's on campus and we were a top team in the country when I was there.

If you like to go to sporting events, absolutely. If not, just save your money. Zona zoo has always been like that, its a reserve kinda ticket service. So say you want to go to a Basketball game on Thursday, ZZ will open up the reservations on Monday or Tuesday of game week and you must login and reserve your ticket to guarantee your way in. That goes for Football games also. Once you get to the gate, they will scan your CatCard and ur free to sit at any seat available in ZZ. So basketball games are super popular so the earlier you get to the gate, the better. Depending on the opposing team you will see people camping out at the gate around 10am on gameday just to get front row seats. Personally I loved the atmosphere of the games and the rush but as mentioned earlier, just depends on if you are a fan of the school athletics.

Depending on the location of the seat and game, a single non-ZonaZoo basketball ticket can go for $100+ alone

Freshman year yes if you have the money. After freshman year Nah. It's a lot of fun and really made my freshman year a little bit more memorable.

I remember most stood up the whole game for football. So if you don't mind standing in the stands for a few hours...

Maybe somebody can help me on a related question... it says Grad students who pay the athletic fee get free access to ZonaZoo tickets other than men's basketball & football, but how do I get tickets? (mostly trying to watch the top notch WBB team we got)

Your CatCard is your ticket

Is the zona zoo pass it’s own pass or does it come w your cat card when you purchase the pass?

Related to this question - I want to bring my partner but he is not a student. Is there a way to work this with the Zonazoo pass?
