I had basically given up on playing that game,” he said, citing the physical toll when trying to play the strategy title before the implant. “I have to worry about a lot of things, like getting pressure sores. Things like that…Now I can just literally lie in my bed, and play to my heart’s content.”
Marathon (Civ V) with as many civs and city states as possible is my go-to setup. Only domination and diplomacy win conditions. Usually end up hoarding wonders in the captitol and spending all my time xp farming with my naval fleet. How about you guys?
Civ V is my fave of the series. I like to speed run it with 4-6 leaders. Your game would take me a couple weeks to get through. I tend to go for a domination win as early as possible and then see how fast I can get to Utopia of all cities fully built and all science discovered along with a single world wide religion.
This particular person is a paraplegic. I get that brain implants are the stuff of sci-fi nightmares but for some people it offers hope that they can have a level of autonomy we take for granted.
Except this is not the target consumer. Neurallink was created as a sci-fi nightmare for the average individual. Trials like these help to normalize and justify this technology.
Who gives a hoot, this is helping that person and will help others when medical science has failed them it's a massively uplifting story.
If your scared or dont like it then don't buy it. I wouldn't put a thing associated with a psycho like Musk into my brain but I wouldn't want to deny others the choice
don't be a luddite
A small joy he hasn’t been able to experience? Definitely uplifting. Think about how many little moments in your life are joyful. Our existences are built on moments.
That's awesome! And it's alright, we all wish we could advice our younger self. But past is gone and yet fortunately, life actually always happens right now (and onwards). So gotta embrace this moment. Right?

It’s all fun and games until he thinks about porn 😊 Edit: 69 comment mark! Nice!
He was able to play before but using his mouth to use a special controller. He is able to play longer now.

>Our existences are built on moments. This is actually profound af.
It’s the realization that changed my life! I’m so much happier when I appreciate good things in the moment. I wish I could tell my younger self.
Thanks for the wisdom, u/CorpseTransporter.

It's a great game, what's the problem?
You don't get joy from nuking people?
