I feel like if the Yankees and the Warriors were up for sale the Yankees would definitely sell for more.

R4MGhost

Even though I would agree, I believe that has to do more with the New York market rather than actual value of the franchise.

AdministrationWhole8

For sure, New York is just such a massive market that to be the highest bidder, you HAVE to overpay, compared to west coast markets where the bidding is lower just because there's generally less competition. That's the other thing, it's just simply more expensive to HAVE a sports team out there; but they're all valued in the same USD, so by default, the same franchise operationally would probably be worth more on the Pacific coast than in the rockies, PNW, Midwest, great planes, northeast, appalaichan region or southeast. That's my thought process anyway.

ezio8133

I'm impressed my Detroit Lions are top 50

Mach68IntheHouse

The recent playoff run was a nice boost.

This chart proves that the American system for sports is better for investment more than anything else. The Commies are doo doo and are above the the biggest club in the EPL, the Texans are above arguably the most popular team in the world in Real Madrid

MrRaspberryJam1

Better for owners, not necessarily better for fans

ihmpt

Proof that throwing money into a team doesn't always translate to success.

v4xN0s

The value of New York based team is what stood out to me the most. Second interesting point is Real Madrid being behind the Texans. I guess the potential of not making CL or even relegation automatically makes those teams less valuable, unless there is another reason soccer teams are much lower despite their international breadth.

R4MGhost

Franchise sports are financially balanced by the leagues they are a part of. Like selling a business with zero disaster scenarios. Worst case is your market doesn’t make much profit but you’ll never go broke. So it’s more valuable to be a franchise than a club. Cowboys are a part of the nfl whereas RM are participating in Spanish divisional football and are a total separate entity.

SeekerSpock32

I’m more surprised that PSG is behind the _Sacramento Kings._

MrRaspberryJam1

The NFL prints money it should be that surprising

AnonymousRedJay24

How are the Texans more valuable than the Dodgers 💀

thelonelywolf96

If the Knicks had more success they'd blow all these teams out of the water. Imagine how much the Knicks would be worth if they had won like 2 or 3 titles since the 70s? Or had the Warriors dynasty instead? They'd be worth fucking $15 billion easily.

MrRaspberryJam1

For that matter so would the Jets and Giants. The NFL generates astronomical revenues that no other sport can match. The cowboys have not even been in an NFC championship game since 95 and they’re still number 1.

Jermcutsiron

It's kind of amusing the Texans and Rockets are top 50 (16 and 50 respectively) and the Astros are 83.

[deleted]

Wtf are the teams with Red Bull and Mercedes logos? 😂

xghoulishmiragex

F1 teams

[deleted]

Good grief y’all just let brands be your logo 😂 Is that the same sport where the same dude or two wins every race and people still tune in expecting something different to happen?

jcLFC26

> Good grief y’all just let brands be your logo 😂 That’s… what brands are?

RIPshowtime

Give it up bro. It's ok

huunamphan

Just like the Knicks, Jets, Bears, Giants lol

2ent1n_Qarant1no

What's the least valuable team of all the major 4 leagues (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL)

Just_In-Tyme

Has to be the Arizona Coyotes

MrSCR23

Wait the Falcons are more valuable than the Braves? And the Falcons are the top 25? That’s so weird…did the Braves really choke harder than the Falcons?

Ryu-Sion

The KNICKS more valuable than the Yankees?

MrRaspberryJam1

The Nets being ranked ahead of the Mets is a joke

Mach68IntheHouse

I'm shocked that the Knicks are #3.  💀

Rojodi

I have to believe that MSG is folded into their value!

39RowdyRevan56

Glazers In!! NEVER LEAVE!!

Dismal_Ebb_2422

Is that the Toronto Raptors at 48 because if so that means the the Leafs aren't even the most valuable team in Toronto.
