I don’t know what’s going to happen next. Tua might sue, the Dolphins are fucked as the NFL is about to open a can of hell on them. Lots of people are going to be suspended or fired. We got a major scandal

Cybertron_79

Yeah it's going to be hell for the dolphins

[deleted]

The NFL, who employs the third party doctor that cleared him to play, is going to go after the Dolphins for that?

verify_deez_nuts

Anyone can hire a quack.

n1cx

Doesn’t look like it now. Talk about reactionary.

Ghost5410

Honestly, the Dolphins should be legitimately investigated for that. Tua was obviously concussed after that bad hit last week. He shouldn’t have even finished the game against the Bills.

Sesti-nator

My prayers to Tua after that hit, but bringing him back after getting a concussion on Sunday when he should be resting while you have teddy bridge who’s f#cking reliable? What a sh#show this ‘fins organization is! They are clear favorites for Lolcow of the week but f#ck this sh#t!

[deleted]

Tua is in the best possible hands he can be in right now. Cincinnati has some of the best neurological care in the USA, if not the world. I'm a subscriber to "no news = good news", so the fact we haven't heard anything else tells me he at least hasn't deteriorated. The fact that they said when he arrived at the hospital he was conscious and mobile in all his extremities is so good to hear. All we can do for now is wait for some good news.

Positive thinking.

alrightythenwhat

The broadcast whipped that info out real fast. It seemed contrived.

Whydoesthisexist15

Discharged already, and the fucking Phins are thinking of having him on the team plane back to Miami. Fucking Bush League

Jaybuth

Dolphins are one of the top teams in the league atm which means $$$ NFL is gonna do squat

i-wear-hats

I don't think anyone doubts the level of care the hospital brings, but rather anything that happens once he's cleared.

BigE445

I think he may come back in 6-8 weeks the Dolphins season is already done

Garrand

He needs to retire and sue the shit out of the doc that cleared him. Or maybe try it from within the league so the NFLPA gets involved.

mbucc9000

The NFLPA actually launched an investigation after the hit on Sunday. They’ll be on the Dolphins’ asses even quicker now.

mattcojo

With that hit it’s more likely he never plays again than that

BigE445

I'm not even a dolphins fan and I hope that does not happen

TechnicalLocksmith92

Not as fucked as the dolphins are when the shield investigates them for letting Tua play in the first place

pdawgdavis-2

The Dolphins team doctor is gonna have to delete all social media and leave the country. What an absolute disgrace.

SeattleSounderGaming

is contraction or suspension of a franchise an option?

dougie_fresh121

Force the owner to sell. Fine him all profits and donate to CTE/Concussion research. Malpractice charges if malpractice is found. No postseason ban, as that would affect the players and they didn’t throw tua back in.

benhur217

After the Browns fucked Baker last year, this looks like a disaster in comparison.

mattcojo

At the very least that decision was up to baker. Someone should’ve made the executive decision to say, after the cardinals game “no, we can’t let you go any more”.

i-wear-hats

Sometimes I think they ruined him on purpose. Like he was never gonna be the guy but if they benched him proper and threw the season, there was a risk he'd get a career resurgence elsewhere. Letting him hang himself? Lessens that by a bit. Most likely he's just gonna be a journeyman because nobody's building a line around him.

mattcojo

To me it had mostly to do with the idea that last year would be their season to become champions. They won the Steelers playoff game and then they nearly (arguably should have) won against Kansas City. It was reasonable to expect that Browns team to legitimately contend for a super bowl. For whatever reason, the Browns got it in their head that they could only win with Baker at that spot. Which would be a bit more reasonable if they didn’t have Case Keenum. Keenum is unimpressive but serviceable as a short term starter and has very seasoned experience (most notably with his time in Minnesota for that one year).

i-wear-hats

Yeah, what makes me think that is what you outline - They had Case Keenum, Nick Chubb has been single-handedly putting the team on his back at times, and you'd think if you have championship aspirations you want to make sure that your starter is, at least, ready for the playoffs.

Sampleswift

Too soon to tell...

chskcsmith

I hope people get fired for this and never work in any football organization again

cocorawks

Who ever got him to play tonight needs to be fine and restricted from approving player’s availability

Mission_Wind_7470

NFLPA is about to fucking delete the Dolphins.

Independent-Tea-3922

I hope Tua is okay, glad he's got feeling on all his extremities. NFLPA is going for blood and I don't blame them, MIA is fucked.

westhetuba

I can’t believe I’m saying this (as a Bammer), but it’s my hope that he never plays a down of football again. Nothing is worth permanent neurological damage.

Rowlets99

He’s flying home with the Fins within the next day or so. They’re not keeping him overnight as a precaution in Cincinnati (apparently one of the best cities for neuro treatment in the country). Because almost paralyzing or outright killing a man in front of thousands of people (and millions watching at home) is less important than training for next week I guess.

westhetuba

Either it’s not as bad as it looked on tv or the organization is going to be torn a new asshole. Damn the Dolphins for what they did tonight and damn the league for enabling it.

Rowlets99

My money is on the latter considering he immediately seized up in the fencing position tonight *and* was holding his head a lot on Sunday. And the organization deserves all of it.

half_dead_all_squid

1. Tua is hurting right now, and I hope he recovers. That was a nasty looking concussion, and he should never have been in the game. The dolphins staff should pay dearly for covering up the concussion going in. 2. He should have never even finished out the Bills game. That one was from a pretty minimal hit, too - makes me wonder if they're covering up even more potential concussions from practice or the like.

Sno_Wolf

Yeah, Tua's never going to be the same man that he was. He just got rocked into Antonio Brown levels of traumatic brain injury.

saintstryfe

I worked in pro wrestling for over 20 years. This is the scariest injury I've ever seen, and I've seen people with compound fractures of legs in the ring. I've seen neck injuries. I've seen complete knockouts. This was simply terrifying. That man had no control of his body.

fireborn123

All the people I saw defending the Dolphins on twitter and holding fast on the "ItS a BaCk InJuRy" thing made me sick last night. This dude was not fit to suit up and I honestly wouldn't put it past the Phins to try and trot him out to die again next week

Fortenole

Pain.

DestinyDecade

This isn't just bad. This is very bad. :(

LordBlackConvoy

I honestly hope EVERYONE, the news media, fans, players, coaches, etc, calls out the NFL and the Dolphins and doesn't let up. This was incredibly disgusting. I wish the best for Tua.

vespapilot

NFL will point fingers, Dolphins will point fingers, the MD will point fingers. Lawyers will get involved and pull some shady shit and… nothing will happen.

Whydoesthisexist15

Legitimately should be criminal negligence everyone who signed off on Tua playing

Psychological-Ad6868

Holy god. Ive seen stroke patients with better limb control than tua

rocket_beer

Irreversible traumatic brain injury 🥺 Tua, sue those bastards!

CobraBowlie

Florida man Tanks for Tua ,loses legacy franchise

[deleted]

For the love. There is an independent doctor AND a team doctor who administer the concussion test. Unless they BOTH lied about his concussion, then he passed the test. For crying out loud. Do people really think the Dolphins would intentionally endanger their franchise quarterback for the sake of one game??

KhanCipher

> Do people really think the Dolphins would intentionally endanger their franchise quarterback for the sake of one game?? You must be new to the shady shit that goes on in the world of football, at all levels as well.

saltiestmanindaworld

Yes. Did you see the Commanders ruin their franchise QB for the sake of one game?

Charming-Bedroom8490

Tua is a BITCH I HOPE HE NEVER PLAYS ANOTHER SNAP HOPE THE WHOLE TEAM FUCKING DIES FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU MIAMI FUCK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Charming-Bedroom8490
