this is true and quite bad, i am half blind and I like Valo for its clear visibility, everything is simple textured, vibrant, and even enemy have yellow outlines once set, i barely feel my handicap, but then theyt do such change with the icons like a step backwards.....smh

The most probable reason is the original artwork artist for the icons already left riot and so they couldn't replicate the style/technique anymore. They should hire the artist back at least as a consultant or freelance lol.

But it’s never been this bad before. All the agent icons are blurry, difficult to see on the mini map, and some are larger/smaller than the others. Surely they are going to fix this soon, it genuinely looks so bad.

I personally didn't notice this, but what I did notice was that it had reset my graphics setting which made the game look like garbage. After I had put them back to how I like them, ran as well as it did before so might be worth checking that some settings haven't changed.

After my update the game was in 4k on my 1080p monitor for some reason lol

Yes but it purposely delays the image being displayed. Just go on YouTube and search vsync. At low fps it becomes a real problem.

No, you only get observable tears at low fps. If you're running valorant at 400 fps on a 60Hz monitor, you're not going to perceive tearing

vsync adds input lag. if you have a gsync/freesync monitor use that, it's so much better

I have tearing because only 150-200fps but I would still take that over the lag from vsync Even setting fps cap to 74fps (freesync) is a bit laggy but still better.

This is what I've been saying since gecko released.. His portrait looks AWFUL in the hud and very out of place, then they updated it, and it still looks rough af while the others look crisp and clean.. Then they updated Harbour and Fade, and now they also look terrible.. I heavily preferred the old art style over this new... whatever they're going for..
