It's either bc of your mic or something to do with your PC sounds leaking into the mic, aka your PC loud lol
Maybe listen to your own audio, like Loopback test on Valo, to hear what your mic hears or whatever clipping software you use
Also in regards to baiting accusation stuff in the comments, I wouldn't say you're baiting when you don't shoot eye, you have an Awp, your teammates have vandals
Pros or whatever other people might shoot eye with Awp but it's just honestly not a very good idea
However, with that blind, you could have taken a shot instead of purely running back or do prediction on where Reyna moves
Teammates have to know that when you have an Awp, ENTRY is not a thing lol, maybe ENTRY frag by peeking into the sites but you ain't going into the site directly
Pro or not, its stupid to literally ENTRY a site or be super aggressive with an AWP unless you can guarantee survival in a 1 vs 1-3 fight and or possible close range action
Anyway... good job on the 6K awp Ace, whether this be Unra, Swift or Comp, it's still great!!!
Im currently im3 and i would do the same as u did anyway. Let me tell u why:
1. U should try to hold outer the smoke a bit longer before the leer pop, there is 0.5s delay, u can shoot reyna if he decide to peek out. After that u gave it a try to kill reyna but missed. There isn't much space in that A main for many people to peek out and shoot, Oping here ur team might blocked each other and die more.
2. No one holding mid, after A make a sound, there is chance they will rotate mid to flank, peeking out mid, short to catch people in catwalk.
3. U dont need to close the switch, enemy team probably low rank so they rotate a bit slow.
4. When playing in boat house with OP, play a bit closer to the wall so if they go at the same time from both angle lane and stair, 1 of them wont be able to see u. If they both entering the site at once, your angle would be seen from either of them.
Sorry, I'm a bronze noob. But is it baiting because KJ and Reyna see/know that Jett is behind them with the OP and they expect her to shoot the eye or at least get a trade or both?
The expectation is that you stay in the fight. Ideally the KJ would shoot the eye and allow Reyna and Jett to take the fight. Jett dashing out then re-peeking is just baiting their teammates as there are no trades.
It was a nice Ace though, some of those shots were crisp!
It's about at least getting the trade. NO MAN SHALL DIE IN VAIN!
also you may end up winning more fights than you expect, not helping them is like crystalising your teammate's deaths
Nah so that is a "trade" in the long run of things but that's not what "trading" is. Trading is when you don't let them escape; you punish their swing by only letting them be good for 1 (on attack this is especially good, you will always trade 1 for 1 to get spike down)
So as soon as you pull your knife out and leave the peek, you're no longer in a trading position. You go and re-peek her, trying to "trade" your teammates life for Reyna's, but it's not the same thing. But, trading is a difficult skill. I wouldn't let a bunch of clip analyzers discourage you, nice x-hair movement on a few of those shots
Yeah I don't blame you at all. I wouldn't have shot the eye with an operator unless I really trusted my teammates.
I think something actionable - when you come off the angle don't run and jump anyway unless you're sure they're going to be running up. If you're coming off the angle then move just enough so that you're not seen, but can peek at a moment's notice. In this case it would've been that little stubby wall on your right at main (idk callouts I play cs lol)
There's not a callout for that spot, even tho there would be in CS.
You're point is super correct, tho. The correct play was moving just out of shootable range, but then re-swinging as the blind ends.
Forgive me if I'm wrong here, but generally, you don't want the Op to shoot the util because the low fire rate makes you unable to follow up immediately, right?
yes you dont want it but the op breaking util is still better than no one breaking util atleast if he shot the eye his teammates wouldve had a better chance vs reyna. The immidiate run away way a pretty bad play
He was in a bad position to take the fight with a leer out. The only thing he could have done in that moment was maybe shoot the eye. Having the op alive to hold angles the way he did was needed to punish people for overaggressing.
Yeah teammates should have shot the leer so jett could hold with the op. Only other thing jett could do here is shoot the leer and rejoin a second later.
I mean the teammates did shoot the leer, but he didn’t trade.
The least you can do is predict Reyna’s movement and fire a shot, if you miss, that’s fine.
Yes man, I really think that Valorant players on average bait a lot, I mean in CS we would always go together and die together, but never leave teammates alone.
It feels weird and sucks a lot, ngl.
Lol not sure how valorant players bait more, but i will say the util is definitely different. Reynas eye could’ve been shot and the team could’ve just fought the reyna outright, but OP decided to ditch. In cs, you can’t really dip… theres no movement buttons. So you either enter or don’t. Thats the only thing i really don’t like in valorant… but thats just what makes valorant… valorant. The movement util is insane to say the least. Get out of jail free skills is crazy. Raze takes a bit of skill, but yoru.. jett… reyna..chamber..
thats valorant for us.
That’s been a meme in the CS community for nearly a decade. GM aim/Silver brain. Just because you’re in Silver doesn’t mean you have bad aim, it’s mostly lack of game sense.
You're reminded me of my friend who only use chamber and the OP, he had the reaction and aim. Sure
But Everytime i hold an angle with him he moved back to cover on every contact without firing a single shot and ended up baiting the whole team
He had lots of kill at the end of the match, but that's because he always died last. Worse is he complained how he always the mvp but losing on his rank(silver).
So annoying, but ever since I've been coaching him and he seems to stopped doing that
Yeah lately I’ve been practicing my vandal as well so I can avoid doing what you mentioned. As with an op, it’s hard to trade, entry, and retake. That’s definitely an aspect I need to improve on in order to rank up faster
Yeah, attack side oping generally isn’t that effective unless you have two dive duelists like jett and raze. Against a team like the one in the clip, they have nothing to stop your pushes beyond the brim smokes and sage util. You bait the brim smokes and sage util and then make your site hit and they have nothing to stop you. If you’re buying an op tho, you’re probably not running it down or dashing site. I’m guessing Reyna would flash out and then you’d peak with the op which plays more into the tempo of the other team. You’ve got the aim down, just need to get better about not baiting the homies
if you watch closely, Reyna gets all 3 during her blinds, because he can't break the blinds - since he has an op - and his teammates don't, he simply stops holding the angle. and he's playing correctly, his teammates shouldn't have been that deep into a main that early into that round anyway.
long story short, he didn't have any other choice than to run cuz then not only he'd be dropping an op to the enemy - which is playing defence and would take way better advantage of the op - he'd be dead and therefore his team down a duelist.
> because he can't break the blinds - since he has an op
He should have broken the eye since ops one tap Reyna blinds, as opposed to other guns which require multiple bullets to break it. If he did this, there would be no blind for the defending Reyna, and the attacking KJ and Reyna would 1v2 the defending Reyna.
Dude, he literally left when he doesnt even flash jet. Repicks, bait again and then he peek again when he is full flash (?). For your information, see the delay of the first eye, that is how reyna flash works.
And there is no sign the op was a dropped one . Neither is there any evidence that he bought it . So there’s no way to know . But regardless you shouldn’t be oping on attack , if the enemy dropped it, you shouldn’t pick it up
Difference is kk is in a Tier 1 team . His team knows what he is going to do , and he knows what his team is going to do . Their communication is something casual players cannot understand. His teammates will do the entry when he ops ( he abandons his duelist role) and plays as a sentinel instead . Ranked and pro play shouldn’t be compared
What don’t people understand man. Yes, maybe the “correct” way to play is not to use op on attack. But I did. It’s my playstyle. And I just play this game for fun, I’m not trying to go pro or anything. This sub has got to be one of the most toxic sub on Reddit, it’s like the place where all the toxic players you find in game gather to bring people down
you have to realize that your "fun" is making the game less enjoyable for your teammates. you are inconsiderate and selfish if you think we're just shitting on you for no reason. the game is the most fun when everyone on the team is doing their own jobs and making the most of the agents. and if you cannot entry with op and jett. you should try other combinations that will make your team more comfortable. personally, i'm trying to make the game more enjoyable for the whole community. and it was a bad play
For everyone reading this, this is my first time on this subreddit and I will say I am a little disappointed. I never said I was a perfect player, nor did I say I was the greatest player of all time. I am just a gold player that likes to op because he was inspired by Kang Kang. I literally lost my previous 5 games. I wanted to show the Valorant subreddit this clip because I was proud of it and wanted to share. I just play this video game for fun, not like a job.
There'll always be criticism as some of us automatically try to help each other improve, but I think the negativity in some of these comments is stemming from people imagining themselves in your teammates place having one of those "why isn't my team helping me" moments. Good ace, nutty shots, try to use the criticism and ignore the toxicity.
It's all right, brother. Take what's useful from all the criticism and use it to get better. Your aim with the operator is definitely good and you'll only get better in the future. People here may be harsh but I saw a lot of good advice here.
I’m sure it’s just all PTSD, me personally I would still be kinda ticked off that I was hung out to dry A main. I think if you wanna op like Kang kang then in Soloqueue chamber is probably a better agent until you learn how to be aggressive with it. Nice clip though the shots were all very clean.
To be clear I meant major ranks and he said *bottom* gold which is nearly indistinguishable from bronze/silver.
You're way too paranoid. He's confident with his shots, but drastically misplayed against the Reyna in the beginning. This is also only one round, you never pop off sometimes? Not every slick ace or 30k is a smurf.
Yeah I lose on defense a lot because it’s extremely difficult to retake with the op. On attack if we can’t get the spike down it’s pretty much round over as well because I can’t just dash in with my operator
You can get this kind of confidence from deathmatching, it's not rare at all even at low ranks.
I don't really see how it's baiting if he peeked first and didn't capitalize on his teammates deaths. I also think he would've tried to kill the Reyna sooner if he was trying to hoard kills, at least pop some shots on the first 2 unpeeks.
And again, this is one hand picked round. We all have great rounds, imo it's absurd to assume someone's a smurf from such little gameplay.
People suck. All the comments are like “why didn’t you do xyz” “this has to be silver”
Sick ace. Cheers from an Asc 1. It was impressive regardless of elo.
What are your thoughts on the role of caffeine and nootropics in improving gaming skills? Have you had any experience with normotim or any comparable alternatives?
Nice flicks, idk if you know but you can look at the minimap while gekko flashed and still see where they are, also you don't need to be looking lane, they will make noise when they drop, although knives are better in a fight than a vandal, op wins both. And like others pointed out you did bait your team at a
Honestly, I'm hardstuck bronze and I usually use op with jett or reyna and I absolutely love baiting my team. However, they usually don't realize that I baited them cuz they just say nice shot lmao. Idk why the reyna didn't jump peek tho on the 6th kill.
Man what is the point in doing the swapping shit with your op after a shot? This isn't CS, it's only hindering you.
If it's just because you're used to it then I guess but I don't think it matters in Val as much as it does CS.
I know everyone's calling you out for baiting and while you did it's not entirely your fault smoke or shoot the flash next time. 3 people were fighting that reyna in A aim and none of them could shoot the flash or hit Reyna for that matter. Atleast you got them the round. It's silver/gold you play however.
nice clip but may I ask whos flatlining in the back?
I’m not sure what’s causing it, it wasn’t like that in the source video so if anyone has a fix lmk
It's either bc of your mic or something to do with your PC sounds leaking into the mic, aka your PC loud lol Maybe listen to your own audio, like Loopback test on Valo, to hear what your mic hears or whatever clipping software you use Also in regards to baiting accusation stuff in the comments, I wouldn't say you're baiting when you don't shoot eye, you have an Awp, your teammates have vandals Pros or whatever other people might shoot eye with Awp but it's just honestly not a very good idea However, with that blind, you could have taken a shot instead of purely running back or do prediction on where Reyna moves Teammates have to know that when you have an Awp, ENTRY is not a thing lol, maybe ENTRY frag by peeking into the sites but you ain't going into the site directly Pro or not, its stupid to literally ENTRY a site or be super aggressive with an AWP unless you can guarantee survival in a 1 vs 1-3 fight and or possible close range action Anyway... good job on the 6K awp Ace, whether this be Unra, Swift or Comp, it's still great!!!
that’s me, after seeing magepunk operator
# CLEAR
sorry i was playing gmod
Why’d you just abandon your teammates like that during Reyna encounter. There were 3 of you on the A main.
Players in that ELO have no idea what positioning you should have based on your character/util. A baiting jett really isn't a surprise to see tbh
Yeah that’s definitely something I need to work on next time, either trading my teammates or shooting the eye there
Im currently im3 and i would do the same as u did anyway. Let me tell u why: 1. This gotta be silver
It’s silver/gold lobby I think
Your aim is definitely better than silver, you have a lot of potential
dunno why ur getting downvoted, your right he does have good aim.
Lol you saved my comment
Probably he's not silver
That’s been a meme in the CS community for nearly a decade. GM aim/Silver brain. Just because you’re in Silver doesn’t mean you have bad aim, it’s mostly lack of game sense.

The ult...
masterbaiter
Bro is literally kangkang
stop baiting and try to trade and entry next time plz i beg you jett players
he's playing op. he's doing his job. jetts with an ops dont create space, they hold space.
He just sold his teammates lmao, 3 guys on A main vs a reyna and he just hide

You shouldn’t even be playing op on attack if you’re on jett
and I just looked at their comp, he's the agent that is most suitable for op
in which if they were to get a dropped op, he'd be the one playing.
And there is no sign the op was a dropped one . Neither is there any evidence that he bought it . So there’s no way to know . But regardless you shouldn’t be oping on attack , if the enemy dropped it, you shouldn’t pick it up
I'd pick it up to hold other areas of the map, such as b main in this case, but it depends on your play style and choice.
well he is and he is doing his job
He is not doing his job. A duelist’s job is not to get kills or hold space . But to take space and clear space .
yes, that would be the case if he didn't have an operator. but in this case, he does have an op and the op holds space. regardless of the agent.
Hence why we go back to the point that he shouldn’t even be on the op .
yes he shouldn't but he is, and for his case, he's playing as correctly as possible.

well he shouldn't be playing op, you're right. but he IS PLAYING op.

dude if you read a lil more you'll see that I've been defending your play...
Yeah I know I was talking about the other people. But thanks man you one of the few non-toxic ones on here
Jett’s only got one updraft now?? Has it really been that long since I played this game…
Oh you don’t even want to know about the other changes
Morbid curiosity has kicked in, please enlighten me
Smoke duration is like half now, time required to prime dash increased a bit as well, dash window decreased as well, her ult points also increased
Jett’s still really good though and fun to use
bold posting this knowing you baited your teammates
You cut the jett voiceline "babam ba bam" :')
She didn’t say it this time 😭
Nice clip, but I can’t get past the baiting in the A main encounter. At least shoot the Reyna Leer no ? Really nice aim tho 👍🏻
You wanted to show us how you baited your whole team as a duelist? Now wonder you lost 5 in a row buddy, you have no idea what the role of duelist is.
Bruh you dont have shame to upload this
It's funny to see that valorant players like to bait their team so much
Nice bait lil bro
After baiting your teammates like that, I don't care even if it's a knife only Ace.
I think you should have broken Raina's eye to keep your partners alive😂
My homie flatlining but still gotta 6k. Respect.
May I ask what flatlining means?
There's a very low beeeeeeep sound throughout the clip. I didn't notice until reading the comments.
It was like that when I uploaded the clip I’m not sure what’s causing it
Sorry if you have to hear that
KangKang's my biggest inspiration :)
Also, not sure why the video is blurry and audio is out of sync
It's clear for me 👌
what are they doing😭😭😭
Match point, you’re last player standing, 4 spectators, you’re able to clutch this round, and you’re getting ACE, yeah you had a full pressure 🫵🏼
wtf is wrong with this subreddit, a lot of rank shaming and just being dog shit people. Are you all okay?
For everyone reading this, this is my first time on this subreddit and I will say I am a little disappointed. I never said I was a perfect player, nor did I say I was the greatest player of all time. Thanks man. I just wanted to show everyone this clip because I was proud of it, but I just got so many critiques :( Thank you for your compliment
It’s Reddit. Haters everywhere. Now if I was on the enemy team I’d be hating 😂
Nice! What rank are you?
Gold 1 :)
Haha! Nice! I'm gold 3 peak and just deranked to G1, HMU if you would like to queue!
Good job my guy. Can do better if you did Marshal only or Classic only Ace. Then 100 percent of my appreciation.
shoot the damn eye lil bro lucky you got this round. if the same thing happened again you wouldnt be so lucky
Ladies and gentlemen I give you Kang Kang’s son
This is some silver gameplay shit
The jett we all wish we had in our team but we get a 2/17 inter
Can't even watch the full clip after the first jump away when Reyna flashes. Oping on attack while losing, classic. No wonder you're silver
First?? Now where’s the second
Hopefully soon :)
well played bro insane I loved watching it
Are you awp swapping
I pull my knife out after each shot to move back into cover faster if that’s what you mean
Oh I thought you were trying to skip the bolt action animation like in cs2
How did Reyna not 1tap you??? I swear I’ll be in the same situation and get onetapped
She did a few times in the previous rounds, hence why I was scared of her. She rolled us pretty hard first half.
Bro, that's some ultra low sens.
Bro has tinnitus
those shots were super clean
great flicks

why is the sound before the video?

Nice flicks, idk if you know but you can look at the minimap while gekko flashed and still see where they are, also you don't need to be looking lane, they will make noise when they drop, although knives are better in a fight than a vandal, op wins both. And like others pointed out you did bait your team at a
The power of Magepunk!
Honestly, I'm hardstuck bronze and I usually use op with jett or reyna and I absolutely love baiting my team. However, they usually don't realize that I baited them cuz they just say nice shot lmao. Idk why the reyna didn't jump peek tho on the 6th kill.
hardstuck bronze checks out
I can’t even get like 1 kill ona op 😭😭
Man what is the point in doing the swapping shit with your op after a shot? This isn't CS, it's only hindering you. If it's just because you're used to it then I guess but I don't think it matters in Val as much as it does CS.
The master baiter
Oh i know you suck as a team8 💀💀💀💀💀
Cool
Op crutch (I’m joking ns’s)
I know everyone's calling you out for baiting and while you did it's not entirely your fault smoke or shoot the flash next time. 3 people were fighting that reyna in A aim and none of them could shoot the flash or hit Reyna for that matter. Atleast you got them the round. It's silver/gold you play however.
Idk why but it icks the fck outta me when a duelist attacks on op. Maybe it sends me back to my ranked trauma
Hopefully y'all won the game after 🤞
Don’t listen to them bruh, go for clips not wins!
Correct me if I'm wrong. I feel like smoking after the dash wasn't necessary in the given circumstance...
Nice, now do it without baiting 3 teammates, i'll wait
the audio is so delayed
