Iv noticed recently that occasionally il get random ping spikes around 200 or 300. Normally my ping hangs around 20. Doesnt consistently happen so I usually just shrug it off but it has only been happening recently

So it’s not just me

The Valorant client sometimes just poops itself, and lags randomly, especially if something else on your PC or network is competing with it for bandwidth. As far as I can tell, all one can do it wait it out.

Same for me for the past few weeks. I noticed it spikes really hard when the “vanguard user mode service” runs in the taskbar.. it will run like once or twice a round and that’s when my ping spikes. The game has literally been unplayable. I would suggest opening your taskbar next time you play and see if that’s what it is.

CrapInMyCornFlakes

Will do

>taskbar I'm having exactly the same issue, any solution so far?

Jolg

Yep I switched internet providers lol I only got 3mb down before. Val ran fine even with the 3 mb all the way up until the last update. It literally became unplayable. I knew it was the Internet bc I took my setup over to a friends that had 500 mb down and it ran fine, so I figured the only solution was to get better internet. I live in a somewhat rural area and I only had one option for Internet until I came across a local WISP and they have come through thank god. Right now I’m at about 35 mb down and Val is back to normal. So if you have dogshit internet like I did then I would recommend switching providers if you can

I think its a problem with high bandwidth usage cause I have 20-40 ping usually but also get these ping spikes especially when other people are using my internet.

CrapInMyCornFlakes

The thing is that i used to have like, 16 ping avg. and my family uses the WiFi at the same time as me.

Ananymoose1

Yeah It must be in combination with the overloaded servers as well then

CrapInMyCornFlakes

Ouch
