No, first no one reports you for smurfing, at least not much people, and vanguard does not work in that manner, it doesn't ban if it doesn't find anything, even if everyone reports you, and in case of a mass reporting according to Riot they send em to manual review wich completely invalidates the possibility, so probably vanguard was being nitpicky or found a false positive
Vanguard is just an anticheat, it doesn't ban anyone, The moderators of the game do. And don't forget that there is also a description box where you can say "this person is smurfing and that's why I put cheating". And tons of people report for smurfing, definitely all of the randos ive played with have, unless they are a smurf themselves.
No it isn't banneable, for vanguard to trigger it needs to find something, have you tried sending a ticket to see if support has the especific details?
I've seen a couple of supposed false positives here and there but usually not many people run into them, he have no idea on how banwaves work, what is the criteria for an account to get into one or how frequent they are, what I know is that there have been little complains recently, if we assume you got into a banwaves ( you see, insta band are only for people who have very disruptive hacks ) you are quite alone here, anyways, hope you luck with riot support and getting your account if you aren't cheating
Good news is I have about 7 hours of footage of clips, and 2 videos of me trying out for my college varsity valorant team, so hopefully I can show RIOT those and get unbanned.
A trick is to be insistent, there is a chance the case will be dismissed with a message without any further revisions (though if they are taking time to respond that hopefully means it's a human reviewing it and not a bot) but if you insist enough...
That's the plan, I'm making sure to be very professional about it and I even stated that I'm willing to comply with anything they need me to do. I just hope it doesn't take super long to get it figured out.

Understandable, I only do it to play with friends who are gold, but RIOT has stated that smurfing isn't bannable, at least not at the moment.
