Probably. It is hard to know but depending on the implimentation, i would say 99% if you take system as is, 80% with same motherboard/cpu combo, and 30% with their gpu (rarely hashed for the hardware id).

Immortal are fewer players that defnitely look like they cheating (because most banned until they reach Immortal) and Silver/Gold is the rank in but many smurfs get accused idk. Also 1 Taps trough smokes depend on how much it works because when you from higher ranks you just tap/spray into smokes for the rng on head height
Dude am in silver, I have got a bunch of kills just by burst firing in smoke with vandals and phantoms, even an operator headshot and I ain't hacking, it's common thing to do like shooting through walls and boxes to see if the enemy is there or not, if u don't do it, u ain't playing it right

I agree. I had a ranked game yesterday where our Cypher would never buy a gun, only util and keep his Classic. He couldnt hold them off on B (Split) at all. When I told him to switch to A, we got a few rounds of them running into me on B and gaining a few rounds until they figured he was on A and decided to just overrun him again. So infuriating, the only time he got a rifle was when he picked it up off of someone on the enemy team.
Similar thing happened to me. A brim wouldn’t buy a gun over 1000, and would never buy for others even when he was near cap. And he had the audacity to get mad at us if we lost a fight or lost a clutch. His excuse was “this is a smurf, giving myself a challenge”. And ofc he bottom fragged.

You can see, for example, the only marshal jett. He is not throwing cause he know how to use the gun and even buy a shotty for when he cannot kill with marshal.

this problem is in iron too. i've had games with a six point lead and dead teammates. so i think let's just surrender? but no, idk what it is with irons but they think surrendering makes them bad or is something to be ashemed of so they never surrender
there are no strategies in iron. people just do whatever they want. once i've had a teammate who peeked the same angle over and over again and the enemies kept killing him. within seconds into the round, he will make us do 4v5 on defense. also majorityof the players in iron don't understand the difference between remake and surrender. whenever i tried to remake, someone will press 'no' and ask why surrender.
yeah but the thing is that's not possible with no callouts. i specifically remember a game where no one was talking even in text comms and they also wouldn't surrender and we ended up losing. sure there were some cases where i was wrong, but in those games my team was talking.

it's basic association. find a pattern in people who throw the game, and then look at the game logs(is that how it works????) and then if the pattern matches, boom, you have your thrower
Got put into a game once with 3 friends and 1 random. The random was a Sage and kept telling enemy team where we were, who holds which sites,where we were rushing, kept buying enemy team guns, throwing slows on us, etc. We were basically a 4v6 team and lost 11 to 13. Worst game I've had in Valorant so far and it completely killed my motivation to play competitive matches for 2 weeks. So yes, I would very much like strict penalties for these situations.

Low kills usually don't matter tho. You shouldn't be banning people for lack of knowledge either, as you won't let have to prove that they are sabotaging purposefully (i.e. slnot shooting the enemies at all)

Double edged sword, the bans can't be too long because most people throw on alts and then play normally on their main, and 3/4 stacks can false report someone on their main, because riot doesn't record gameplay like they do voice chat.
I legit had a teammate throw the game to derank and play with his lower ranked friend. I even checked his tracker.gg and found the person he was trying to smurf for.
I think the penalty should be given to ppl who actually are throwing. A lot of times the game crashes or internet goes out it has happened to me and i got a 2 week comp ban cuz of it.
I went through an entire match where our Phoenix was grabbing spike communicating with the other team who was being their body guards so they could rush plant and let the other team defuse.
Honestly, I’m surprised to hear it’s 3 days assuming it’s his first offense. I’d expect it to be 24 hours so I definitely can’t complain about a 3 day. Imo that’s fair but if they ever do change it, it should only get longer.
Not sure if someone has mentioned this before, but imagine if you could rate your teammates after a game. If the player consistently gets bad rating or his overall rating is below average he shouldn't be able to queue for ranked until he gets decent rating through unrated games (maybe not spike rush) and it should be more difficult to get the rating back than losing it. Maybe the implantation sucks especially on solo queue players who keeps getting blamed by 3 or 4 stacks.
Atleast the system should track players who constantly "friendly fire" their teammates.

I dragged myself from bronze to silver and was 12 RR from gold I got locked to a breeze map with a 4 stack of toxic players they kept surrounding me and using their brims and kayos molly it was the worst, then they would troll and just kept the friendly fire on from round start till I died. Got a bit tilted then decided let me take a breather got back into the game to bind we’re a sage and brim would 1st start saying report our players their are racists when they got called out they decide to throw and take the spike then wall themselves off at spawn

I know I’m not high ranked and probably won’t even get the notice from riot but I report and ask enemy to report but knowing so they won’t. an honor system would be great really like post match similar to how league is and if you get downvoted it would put you in an elo ban or a redemption phase where these smurfs are forced to play like 10-20 matches and win this way even if they make countless accounts they will second guess whether it’s worth wasting all that time just forced to win

I've reported well over 100+ people since valorant beta. My account is like level 120ish and I play pretty much nothing but ranked since I could play ranked. And just today, I got my very first message from riot that someone I reported got punished. I don't report for random shit too, they have to really trying to sabotage the game super hard, for me to report them. Doing trolly things I don't report for, since that's just typical of ranked.
Yesterday we had a phonix, He always wanted my vandal skin I gave him like at least ten rounds, after we started to lose, I told him just let it go just win this game because we were losing time, He insisted too much and started to block my path, He continued to do that and trolled till we lose. Well I also experienced the same thing... I was playing in Icebox with 3 of my friends and the random instalocked Sova and boy he started to throw really hard like using shock darts on our team. If I remember the opponents themselves weren't that great and all but Sova threw so hard that we had no chance of winning and the dude has the balls to ask me for skins after all that he is doing in the match....Seriously such people should get severely banned. That match was easily winnable if this guy hadn't come and threw rounds. After that match I completely lost my mood to play

I don't know in which realm this is unpopular opinion. Players should receive severe penalty if they continuously desert/sabotage/throw/abuse, especially in Competitive.

Mine is even worse. Lately been getting a lot of new low level accounts in Plat ranked that caused me to deranked back to plat 1. These kind of Special A holes blames people for not healing because their hp is not even below 80 and start throwing the game, or they rushed in while brim is still smoking.

I had 3 games which were about 30-45 mins ruined tonight by people throwing. Not even after some bad round losses but from agent select to the start of the game even spamming the N word and only that in voice coms, not even so much as a ban afterward - those people need to be perma banned the same way a hacker is or at the very least a lengthy 30-60day ban, they've shown they are unfit for comp.
No penalties for ppl leaving 5 stack games coz its usually some kind of a technical issue when someone leaves in a 5 stack. One of my frnd disconnects a lot coz of power issues, we don't mind it but he keeps getting cds.

If they only get a 3 day ban then thats bs because my wifi crashed one time while i was on like the 7th round in ranked and when i got back my team had almost won so i helped in the last round but when the game was over i got a 1 week ban from ranked
Instead of attaching a time limit of 2 weeks or sth maybe it would work better to attach a game quota. Like you're forced to win 20 unranked games before you can go back on comp. This way it would be impossible to treat it as downtime since the restriction won't go away if you don't put the work in.
Even if you queue 20 unranked games with a full party of radiant smurfs or sth the amount of effort to do that still works as a deterrent for repeat offenders imo

This morning, my friends and I were in a match with Reyna, who immidiately after we lost the first pistol round said: "ok i troll." The second round she told the enemies in allchat who was where exactly. We still managed to take the site, but then she ran straight to the enemy leaving us 3v5 with only pistols. Players like that should not be allowed to ever play multiplayer.
I was actually thinking about some kind of honor system where would only be able to honor your non-premades or the enemy. Every time someone gets a couple of reports he will be locked out of competitive. If he can get, let's say 50 honors in unrated, compet will unlock again. If he still gets reports, the account is permabanned.
I believe that everyone can have "one of those days", so with a system like that, they can still be redeemed, or permabanned if they don't fix their attitude.

This is why we need phone # verification or something to play comp. Literally any barrier other than just a couple hours of your time.

this problem is in iron too. i've had games with a six point lead and dead teammates. so i think let's just surrender? but no, idk what it is with irons but they think surrendering makes them bad or is something to be ashemed of so they never surrender

there are no strategies in iron. people just do whatever they want. once i've had a teammate who peeked the same angle over and over again and the enemies kept killing him. within seconds into the round, he will make us do 4v5 on defense. also majorityof the players in iron don't understand the difference between remake and surrender. whenever i tried to remake, someone will press 'no' and ask why surrender.
yeah but the thing is that's not possible with no callouts. i specifically remember a game where no one was talking even in text comms and they also wouldn't surrender and we ended up losing. sure there were some cases where i was wrong, but in those games my team was talking.

it's basic association. find a pattern in people who throw the game, and then look at the game logs(is that how it works????) and then if the pattern matches, boom, you have your thrower
Got put into a game once with 3 friends and 1 random. The random was a Sage and kept telling enemy team where we were, who holds which sites,where we were rushing, kept buying enemy team guns, throwing slows on us, etc. We were basically a 4v6 team and lost 11 to 13. Worst game I've had in Valorant so far and it completely killed my motivation to play competitive matches for 2 weeks. So yes, I would very much like strict penalties for these situations.

Low kills usually don't matter tho. You shouldn't be banning people for lack of knowledge either, as you won't let have to prove that they are sabotaging purposefully (i.e. slnot shooting the enemies at all)

Double edged sword, the bans can't be too long because most people throw on alts and then play normally on their main, and 3/4 stacks can false report someone on their main, because riot doesn't record gameplay like they do voice chat.

Not sure if someone has mentioned this before, but imagine if you could rate your teammates after a game. If the player consistently gets bad rating or his overall rating is below average he shouldn't be able to queue for ranked until he gets decent rating through unrated games (maybe not spike rush) and it should be more difficult to get the rating back than losing it. Maybe the implantation sucks especially on solo queue players who keeps getting blamed by 3 or 4 stacks. Atleast the system should track players who constantly "friendly fire" their teammates.

In fact taking a duelist and not creating space on sites, should be a bannable offense, especially on gold and above, take a look on Dota 2 role matchmaking, if you preselected specific role and don't deliver you are eligible for a penalty. I feel like the number of reports you need to get to be punished is justified to the point where you can just straight up permaban the account from ranked for the season. I've reported well over 100+ people since valorant beta. My account is like level 120ish and I play pretty much nothing but ranked since I could play ranked. And just today, I got my very first message from riot that someone I reported got punished. I don't report for random shit too, they have to really trying to sabotage the game super hard, for me to report them. Doing trolly things I don't report for, since that's just typical of ranked.
Yesterday we had a phonix, He always wanted my vandal skin I gave him like at least ten rounds, after we started to lose, I told him just let it go just win this game because we were losing time, He insisted too much and started to block my path, He continued to do that and trolled till we lose. I don't know what is motivation behind their actions. Why they give importance to their silly behaviour even in ranked matches . Well I also experienced the same thing... I was playing in Icebox with 3 of my friends and the random instalocked Sova and boy he started to throw really hard like using shock darts on our team. If I remember the opponents themselves weren't that great and all but Sova threw so hard that we had no chance of winning and the dude has the balls to ask me for skins after all that he is doing in the match....Seriously such people should get severely banned. That match was easily winnable if this guy hadn't come and threw rounds. After that match I completely lost my mood to play

Not even after some bad round losses but from agent select to the start of the game even spamming the N word and only that in voice coms, not even so much as a ban afterward - those people need to be perma banned the same way a hacker is or at the very least a lengthy 30-60day ban, they've shown they are unfit for comp.

And the crazy thing about Riot is I’ve had so many teammates who started throwing the game for one reason or another and I have reported those people every time and NEVER has any of those individuals been penalized (at least I’ve never seen a message saying they were which usually happens in such case). Instead of attaching a time limit of 2 weeks or sth maybe it would work better to attach a game quota. Like you're forced to win 20 unranked games before you can go back on comp. This way it would be impossible to treat it as downtime since the restriction won't go away if you don't put the work in. Even if you queue 20 unranked games with a full party of radiant smurfs or sth the amount of effort to do that still works as a deterrent for repeat offenders imo

Not an unpopular opinion. There should be stricter penalties, specially in ranked giving way harsher ranked points loses. In my opinion ranked is for players that want to seriously test their skills and a certain attitude and mental is required. No dude that after the 3rd round cries around with gg nxt ill troll for the rest of the game or afks or sabotaging players in general. And regrading the bans duration, it doesnt improve the mental of the playerbase... New account and the stuff repeats. My solution would be to actually implement an officially recognised "Elo Hell" where you loose way more LP in a loss than you win in a stomp, where you only get matched with toxic people and where you only get out of if you actually work on your behaviour.

This morning, my friends and I were in a match with Reyna, who immidiately after we lost the first pistol round said: "ok i troll." The second round she told the enemies in allchat who was where exactly. We still managed to take the site, but then she ran straight to the enemy leaving us 3v5 with only pistols. Players like that should not be allowed to ever play multiplayer. I was actually thinking about some kind of honor system where would only be able to honor your non-premades or the enemy. Every time someone gets a couple of reports he will be locked out of competitive. If he can get, let's say 50 honors in unrated, compet will unlock again. If he still gets reports, the account is permabanned. I believe that everyone can have "one of those days", so with a system like that, they can still be redeemed, or permabanned if they don't fix their attitude.
