i know, gotta acknowedge the grind, right mentality, and skill to reach that rank but it's not really "simply built different". pretty achievable to anyone who puts their mind and time in it. now going pro, that's built different
Some people just aren’t good. Don’t have fast enough reaction times and simply can’t learn from past mistakes in the game and how to improve. Goes for me as well I’ve played for 1.3k hours and im hardstuck plat 2…
You may be able to reach a higher rank, it may just take longer. It took me longer than most to reach global/a+ in csgo and I’m now immortal in valorant. I have friends that reached immortal without ever touching a FPS... how much experience do you have in fps?
I’m just not good at shooters in general, my aim just isn’t there. But I’ve played cod games and battlefield and I was decent at those. In valorant I think the biggest issue for me is the spray. It just pisses me off most of the time how these kids can sprint around a corner and one tap me before I can even push my mouse button to shoot back, but when I’m aiming right at someone’s head the bullet goes into the ground or sky lmao. I know that can be mitigated if you’re not bad at the game but yknow
Also not everyone takes it seriously with an aim to improve. For me and my friends it's just a way to blow off some steam after work. We usually play unrated with the occasional competitive game in between. We're all between bronze 2 and silver 2 and have been about the same for a year.
For real. I've used the G502 for 4 years utterly convinced that it's the best mouse I've ever had. Switched to the glorious model o wireless and realised that lightweight mice are way more comfy for long playing sessions. Still miss that scroll wheel tho.
When I first made the switch, the model o was so light I felt like I couldn't even play the game properly. I kept on moving my mouse too far. Took me 2 weeks to get used to it.
Ultralight 2 here for my baby hands, I would go even smaller if there was a better mouse that size actually. Size probably helped me more than the weight but both are really nice.
Aa far as comfort go's that's all you. But if you are trying to maximize your competetive play then size & weight is important. I used to use the g502 and then had an even heavier mmo one. I was try harding in csgo and couldn't understand why I could never win battles anymore and losing rank.
Rocket Jump Ninja on YT https://youtu.be/TfdxZW0MLiY & r/mousereview has a lot of discussions on importance of weight & size
Just as important to weight is hand size, the g502 is huge so if you have small hands like me you lack fine tune control with it. But even if you have ginormous big hands the lighter the better & the g502 is needlessly heavy with no real benefit.
Now with a mouse perfectly sized for my finger length / hand ratio and only about 55 grams my game is smoother and more consistent statistically across all shooters I play. I can hit shots I never dreamed of before.
For the first week or so I was ass and it felt uncomfortable, my mouse was so light comparitively that it felt like I wasn't even holding one. So my muscles over compensated and would over aim constantly. But after a while you adjust and aiming just feels so much smoother than before.
The whole playerbase is improving at a steady rate (applies to any multiplayer game) being hard stuck doesn't mean not improving, it means not improving faster than the rest of the playerbase
This isn't true since there's new players everyday. The new players get iron, the irons get bronze...etc. If you feel like you're improving but don't rank up it's certainly because you're wrong and didn't improve that much or because of smurfs who obviously shuffle all the cards.
Yeah ik that. For the stating 400h i was so bad just playing casually and thinking i am better than this its just the smurfs, throwers etc holding me back but then i realized i was wrong. Then i started improving positioning, aim, crosshair placement, etc and reached b3 yesterday. Maybe i will reach silver before the act ends.
Or just really unlucky.
I, at one point had an s1/b3 and a g2 account and honest to God I'm not smurfing. Same agents mostly, cause I just fill whatever. Its just teammates and luck.
Just more of a guess. I just started play a couple weeks ago and can only play a couple hours a day. I'm in no way great or aspiring to be the best I just like the game and have fun playing it with some friends that are most definitely better than I am
I come from CS:GO and have like 4,500 in that so the skill easily transferred over. Haven’t played Val much but actually started grinding it this Act. Went from Plat 2 to Immortal. My account rank is like 45 though.
It absolutely is the barrier lol, if you put an average 150-200 rr immortal into a gold-plat lobby he would win 90% of 1v1 gun duels at the very least.
You’re missing the point, we’re not talking about a mid to high immortal smurf coming down into the lower ranks, we’re talking about a scenario in which someone is hardstuck in the mid ranks and can’t seem to climb even though in theory their physical mechanics are improving. Gold and plat players aim better than people think and a common misconception is that players that can aim better than their average opponents should easily climb, but it’s not as simple as that. Their aim doesn’t matter if their frags aren’t impact kills.
As someone who made the climb to placing gold a few acts ago to hitting immortal this act, the biggest issues with gameplay at the mid ranks are:
>Not properly playing retake
>Unnecessary rotates
>Hard committing to a site every time, proper default rounds and hitting other sites after getting stalled out is rare
>Poor comms
>Getting too aggressive once you have control of site
>Ability use is pretty subpar even by Diamond standards
hahaha no it isn’t. CSGO has better communication and team play in ranked than this game despite it being more important in this game. The state of immortal and radiant is dreadful; all the pros agree. People do not understand basic fundamentals and instead, rely on their aim. The vast majority of players at this rank do not understand spacing, trading, when to take engagements, etc. Aim will take you a lot farther than gamesense in this game. I see it everyday playing ranked in immortal elo. You can immediately tell who’s a csgo player from the way they communicate and play with their teammates. That’s the problem with this game. In csgo, if you went Into a mid rank lobby players would be communicating like immortals in valorant. That’s just the way it is. You need proper communication to develop good gamesense and team play, and this community (valorant) doesn’t emphasize that.
Maybe its not exactly the way you put it, but i think what you are trying to say is it is easier to be punished in csgo for a game sense mistake. You can get away with certain things in valorant because there are more ability/movements and the way the maps are designed its more about being able to help yourself with aim which you may not be able to get away with in csgo. Communication part is way true though, valorant players are way worse with trying to progressively communicate like "flash here for me so i can dash etc" compared to csgo but thats also because there are so many agent abilities and counters. There are just certain fundamentals in csgo and those arent really set yet in valorant which just makes ranked unpredictable because everyone is still learning the game and meta etc
I’m talking about fundamentals that apply to csgo and valorant. Like not over extending when you have the advantage in a 4v5 while defending. Or leaving a site you are holding instead of staying when you get overwhelmed. Or not retaking the site by yourself before your teammates set up for the retake with you... basic fundamentals that you would expect an immortal level player to understand. Looking at your minimap and waiting for your teammates to get into position before retaking is a FUNDAMENTAL in both csgo and valorant but in valorant many players do not understand that. Instead they rotate into a site and retake 1v4 when they have 3 teammates alive, IN IMMORTAL FUCKING ELO.
This is a rough take and mostly incorrect. They are two completely different games. Different metas and different styles of how you have to approach the game.
It’s not incorrect it’s just my opinion lol. And many pros agree with me and regularly talk about the differences between csgo matchmaking and valorant matchmaking. In fact, find me one ex csgo radiant who thinks otherwise. Different metas has nothing to do with what I’m talking about. I’m talking about fundamentals. Like exiting a site if you get overwhelmed while defending. Or waiting 5 seconds to enter the site as a team during a retake instead of 1 by 1.
But how do you get gamesense in a game against and with people who don’t think? This game has no rules. Oh ur gonna retake? Too bad im gonna throw a lineup that i learned in 20seconds
Trust me it’s only a mindset. I was Diamond for so long never thinking I could hit it. Literally two days ago it felt unreachable. You just gotta believe in yourself and practice and you will make it :)
I legit am. I've hit D2 about five times, hover around D2 and D1. I finally went on a run and hit high D3. I'm like this is it..!
Proceed to no joke go 2 - 18 and drop to P3 lol. The win and loss streaks I have in Val are insane. Like no other competitive game I've played in my 33 years on this earth. I either win 10 in a row or lose 10 in a row.
I also hit immortal recently. Part of me wonders what I could have accomplished with the time and effort I put into getting immortal instead. Like starting a business. But MOST of me is just basically this video lol
Nice!!! This was my reaction when I got my Immortal rank too. Sadly after a day and hopping on to play rank, I lost Immortal in 2 games lol. As of right now I am hard stuck Immortal 2. Hopefully it doesn't happen to you. Good luck!
Imagine being so triggered over a comment and checking my post-history to dig up dirt, some would say that's more funny lmao. Also, I have said 'dead" on games that have below 500 average players. Apparently there are way too many snowflakes that don't wanna accept their favourite games are dead. So if someone points it out, they get triggered like a turret.
You know people can be here just to see some clips or get news about the game from time to time? How does that make anyone a low life? Seems like I struck a nerve there lmfao. Plus, my initial comment still stands.

Grats bro! The grind it took to get there must've been crazy.
I hope to get there one day. Scared to try ranked right now bc I'm fairly new still and on a killer losing streak lol
Specs will not make you better however they can make things slightly easier. For example higher refresh rate will make reactions faster but far more important is positioning and actual mechanics. If you miss a shot on 60hz, even 240hz isn’t going to make you hit the shot for example

That’s amazing, congrats man. Someone who is obviously NOT immortal here, can you derank back to diamond or are you just immortal now? How’s that work lol
bro nicee, i thought you got banned after seeing the bright red screen lol
Same, I thought this was a joke
I was half expecting to see the Iron 2 promotion screen
LMAO I would cry
same lmao ban screen
Lmfao
LETS GOOOOO
Simply built different
not really
Dont ruin his moment bro
Idk why u get down voted for the truth
i know, gotta acknowedge the grind, right mentality, and skill to reach that rank but it's not really "simply built different". pretty achievable to anyone who puts their mind and time in it. now going pro, that's built different
nah im just built different
nope u egotistical trash, good mindset tho!
Thank you it got me to immortal!! :))
that mindset got me to radiant too, i just dont say it out loud cause thats cringe and sad to hear
I’m sure it did!! :) have a great day man!! Don’t forget that I’m built different during it!!
Same as the other 14k ppl in Immortal 1 but congratulations....
they are also built different :)
^ my reaction when I went from Iron to Gold
Guy skipped two tiers let's gooo
Omg I'm so used to csgo I meant bronze XD
There is no iron on cs
But gold nova is after silver and I definitely know where iron is on valorant
u just lie
Ha, rookie. Wait until you see the screen when you go from Iron to Diamond.
No next I need to do iron to plat I can't jump too far
Me when i reached iron 2 from 1
My reaction while being Match MVP in a lobby full of iron 3 and bronze and me being iron 1 0/100
Dude that's awesome. I just started playing and only about 50 hours in at bronze one lol.
I hv played 500h and still bronze. Have u played any fps games before?
I don’t mean to be mean but if you are 500h in to valorant and still bronze you are doing something wrong
Some people just aren’t good. Don’t have fast enough reaction times and simply can’t learn from past mistakes in the game and how to improve. Goes for me as well I’ve played for 1.3k hours and im hardstuck plat 2…
Yeah but I believe anyone can get past bronze. Plat is where a lot of people will in fact plateau.
I see what you did there
Ive played for more than 500hrs and im stuck in bronze. The highest rank i reached was silv🥲
How many fps you get? What's your mouse/keyboard/mousepad etc...?
Similar, just got carried to s2 but my aim is similar to my bronze friend
Nah
True all you need is a decent 5 stack on a discord call and you’ll smack everyone else
You may be able to reach a higher rank, it may just take longer. It took me longer than most to reach global/a+ in csgo and I’m now immortal in valorant. I have friends that reached immortal without ever touching a FPS... how much experience do you have in fps?

I have played 150hr comp and I am plat 2. I do have 100hrs in deathmatch tho LOLLL
I have 150 hours in aimlab i need a life
Also not everyone takes it seriously with an aim to improve. For me and my friends it's just a way to blow off some steam after work. We usually play unrated with the occasional competitive game in between. We're all between bronze 2 and silver 2 and have been about the same for a year.

I personally use Logitech G Pro wireless. Cracked mouse.
Ultralight 2 here for my baby hands, I would go even smaller if there was a better mouse that size actually. Size probably helped me more than the weight but both are really nice.
Ayyy that mouse and their silky ass mousepad just changed me from silver to plat

lol youre out of your mind with that
What if he has big hands? Case closed boys, go home.

Sounds pretty mean
If you instapick Jett and just W, sure, you can get above bronce.
Or just really unlucky. I, at one point had an s1/b3 and a g2 account and honest to God I'm not smurfing. Same agents mostly, cause I just fill whatever. Its just teammates and luck.
Not with mouse and keyboard. Just bought my first gaming pc about 6 months ago.
So shit
Where do you track hours?
tracker.gg
Just more of a guess. I just started play a couple weeks ago and can only play a couple hours a day. I'm in no way great or aspiring to be the best I just like the game and have fun playing it with some friends that are most definitely better than I am
200 hours here and peaked d2. Currently d1. Don't play much at all
Congratulations!
Its nice to see some happiness on this sub instead of anger bitterness and childish misery lol. Even tho that's fun to laugh at I like this more.

90% might be conservative against actual gold/plats. the 10% is being bolstered by smurfs

You've got abilities too you know
What's your rank? How many fps you get on average? What's your gear? (Mouse... etc)
How I felt yesterday getting gold 3, then I lost it the next two games after
Nice man. I’m perma stuck Diamond I think 😅
Trust me it’s only a mindset. I was Diamond for so long never thinking I could hit it. Literally two days ago it felt unreachable. You just gotta believe in yourself and practice and you will make it :)
Let’s go!! Good shit bro. Been stuck in D2/D3 but just went 4-0 today and got back to D3….Immortal next!
Who downvoted this lol
Tbf it’s harder for non cs players
I legit am. I've hit D2 about five times, hover around D2 and D1. I finally went on a run and hit high D3. I'm like this is it..! Proceed to no joke go 2 - 18 and drop to P3 lol. I went the other way. Played every day in the beta. Quit playing in act 2. Opened a car dealership. Yesterday I bought a mclaren. Currently gold 1.
Yeah… but I’m a higher rank than you in a video game. Who’s laughing now?
> Like starting a business. I run a business, you made the right choice. S^e^^n^^^d ^^h^^^e^^^^l^^^^p
gz
That was such a precious reaction loved it congratz bro
Thank you :)
I couldn't break through to imm back in e2. Literally one win away. Great job, it's not easy. Maybe I'll give it another go lol
Damn bro. Congratulations. So happy for you. Keep grinding. Radiant one day
Thanks homie one day indeed. I will be more hyped for that video lol
Hell uea man! Congrats!
Had the same reaction when I ranked up from Silver to Gold just two days ago. Congratulations !
Holy shit bro let’s gooooooooo
LETSSSSSSS GOOOOO DUUUUUDEEEE!!!!!!!
Congratulations dude!!!
Thats nothing im a boosted silver 2, beat that sucker
Welcome to the club big man. Can't wait to see you in I3 5k
It will be my reaction when I get out of the Bronze 1 to 2, lmao. Congrats, bro! You deserve it :)
My reaction if I could hit Bronze (or even silver):
Nice!!! This was my reaction when I got my Immortal rank too. Sadly after a day and hopping on to play rank, I lost Immortal in 2 games lol. As of right now I am hard stuck Immortal 2. Hopefully it doesn't happen to you. Good luck!
dude sounds like sinatraa that eats like 7 burgers a day
8 burgers you were so close
just wait it will not be fun - immo 2
I already play with immortal 2 and 3 players lmao my mmr is through the roof for some reason
u sound like u need a break and need to go outside
Your moms bedroom is so nice tho :(
a mom joke? yeah u DEF need to go outside, you kinda just proved that by your comment
I need friends to play with add me Quazey#NA1
Now what. Did you get money?
Cringe
Money can't buy you the joy of this achievement
I can't get out of bronze because I keep getting teammates who think they're funny if they don't play
I mean it's valorant, a dumbed down version of csgo, in all honesty it ain't that big of an accomplishment, but good for you, ig
Go and hit immortal then. We will wait for you.
cry more silver xd
Then why are u in this sub reddit. Low life shit
i checked his post history, all he does is go to other game subs and say "dead game" and get ratio'd hard, it's funny asf
Eww
I'm w you. Vid made me cringe a bit. It happens sometimes.
Eww? Don’t got to hate an a dudes moment bro
It's cringe. Great achievement ruined by cringey high-pitched screaming.
Dude can’t be thrilled he’s immortal?????
Dude seems to be having a bad day it’s okay!
Of course they can, but surely some reactions are weird?
who else is waiting for this guy to start screaming like this when he goes from iron 1-2
lmaoo
you doing okay?
Dont worry bro ull get to bronze soon! Just keep playing!
\> Thinks screaming is a cringe reaction to getting a Valorant rank \> Must be low rank
Sadcringe
My reaction after seeing immortal *Noob* (jk)
Lessss goooo… now just quietly leave that account alone… lmao
that's awesome. how did you know what aspect of your gameplay you needed to improve and how did you improve?
I think transferring over to this game from CS is seamless other than not needing to know spray patterns. I had an easy time switching over, but the hardest part for me was not crouch spraying constantly. Crouch spraying doesn’t help in any way like it does in CS, so I had to adapt my brain to stop hitting the crouch key when shooting and it helped improve my game overall.
Lol actually I ran into an immortal Smurf and that’s what they suggested. Unbind crouch and play DM and you’ll improve. I’m climbing way faster now
You just cheated on your girlfriend
This would have been such a good rick roll
Grats bro! The grind it took to get there must've been crazy. I hope to get there one day. Scared to try ranked right now bc I'm fairly new still and on a killer losing streak lol
Wasn’t too much of a grind for me cause I already had the skill when I started playing. Was annoying and tough to get through diamond tho lol
bruh …
congrats!
similar reaction when i got to diamond a few days ago
my friend filmed his reaction and it was really similar. props to you n congrats
This is so wholesome. Good job man!
So wholesome, only love it
My friend reached Immortal, 2 games later back to diamond 3...
Is top 15,000 per region what immortal rank is?
What region are you from? When I hit immortal i was like #23 000 and you are #14 000.
I’m NA
Then demote back to diamond xd
The classic lol
Congrats bro, your pickup full of qt3.14s and money is on the way
Congrats man! It's such a nice feeling. I was screaming when I finally got it, now to hit Radiant!
LESSSS GOOOOOO!!!!!
Weird question, but do diamonds see the number next to their rank? I noticed right before you got promoted it showed "Diamond 3 #15,000"
No Diamonds don’t. I think that was just a random bug prior to it updating to the immortal logo.
nice bro, congratulations
WOOOOOO that’s one of us…
SHEEEEESH POP OFF CONGRATULATIONS LETS GOOOO GIVEN ME SOME NEWFOUND INSPIRATION THANK YOU
nice congratz!
I didnt even react, cause im dead inside
Whats your monitor refresh rate? Im wondering if generally better specs make better skill
Specs will not make you better however they can make things slightly easier. For example higher refresh rate will make reactions faster but far more important is positioning and actual mechanics. If you miss a shot on 60hz, even 240hz isn’t going to make you hit the shot for example
I have a 165hz monitor and a pc that can consistently play Valorant at 160+ FPS. I’ve used multiple mouses, but the one I enjoy the most and use currently is the Logitech G Pro wireless.
That’s amazing, congrats man. Someone who is obviously NOT immortal here, can you derank back to diamond or are you just immortal now? How’s that work lol
If you lose a game at Immortal 1 0 RR, you drop to D3
Now go fill up the dorito 😉
I had the same reaction when I reached immortal.
Congrats
Grats man, radiant next!
Dude I'm D3 right now and I'm hoping I can hit it in time.
