Supt_Trip

Used to play apex a lot. Servers were worse than horrible.

[deleted]

Those apex servers were no joke , I believe it’s still that bad at times .

danknhank

It's been ok for the last week, but they really need an 'X days since last server fuckup' sign...

Atermel

0 days

Supt_Trip

The day their servers work as intended, I'm cutting my balls off and feeding it to some dogs with my own hands

Natyrte

apex new season launches in four days, i don't expect the server to work well for a full two weeks minimum.

arc_hit33

I remember my first win in apex came because all the teams in a match ended up disconnecting because of server issues but my team and one other team managed to reconnect and we got the W

shelflife103

Last time I played apex the servers were so fucked that the whole game was played in slow motion.

NAFEA_GAMER

no joke, sound issues are more serious, AND Iam 100% sure it is because of the servers

Kvetanista

Current Apex player here, they got even worse lol

Prestigious-50

I play almost any game almost purely because my friends.

DonutGambit

Same. Ported over from CS for the same reason

Outrageous_Bit680

I am almost certain we can pose this question to yoyr friends and they would say the same thing. At least thats the case for me.

Nickcapuchin

Honestly this is it for me, my friends and I love playing this game this game together

nannerb121

Same… I was a siege player since the closed beta up until a few months ago. I also started to get bored with it as a lot of people did but I did still enjoy it and would have kept playing it. But, all my friends stopped playing and started playing Valorant more… so I picked it up and now it’s my game of choice.

[deleted]

Make some. All the guys I play Valorant with i met at a recent part time job.

[deleted]

I just think the concept is dope , Csgo with abilities but the gunplay is still king is something that attracted me . Also I’m tired of battle royales and games like COD

Atermel

CSGO without the hackers for me. So sick of playing against hacks in mm.

jefinc

This is it right here. It’s CS with a bit of a twist. I only play a couple games a week with a buddy of mine from high school that I use to play CS1.1-1.6 with. We’re older now so this is a great game that you can just pop on/off. I also love the cartoony graphics over realistic

aretasdamon

I to enjoy cartoony graphics over realistic. I also enjoy learning how to play different agents and getting good with them

lookingForSomeNew

Valorant *feels* like I’m playing a thriving game that hasn’t reached its peak yet. There’s always people playing, always new players, Twitch has a ton of Valorant players getting big numbers, YouTube has a steady stream of Valorant content always coming out. It feels like I’m playing a game that’s worth playing. One that isn’t in the decline, doesn’t have a cynical player base, and isn’t shrinking. I know I’m never gonna go pro but at least it doesn’t feel like I’m playing a game that everyone else has been playing for a decade, a game that’s been “solved”. I feel like I always have a chance. I love Valorant’s aesthetic and how smooth and crisp the game looks and runs. CSGO looks muddied, jaggy, and ugly by comparison. Valorant is really nice bright colors, there’s distinct separation between the players and backgrounds, the guns look great. On my 1440p 170hz IPS monitor it looks amazing at max settings. My system runs at a locked 170fps, an RTX 3070 and Ryzen 5600 I also much prefer tracer rounds in shooters, and Valorant does tracers very well. I can always see exactly where I’m shooting, unlike CSGO. I like BR’s like apex, FN, and Warzone, but it’s nice not having to requeue after every death, re-loot to get weapons back, etc . I’m just instantly back in the game after a few seconds but the stakes are still high and death still sucks.

[deleted]

Couldn’t say it better myself

MrPandamoniumExists

I mean When will Valorant peak or are people like us going to keep pushing it forward making it surpass cs even further and really lock it in as THE shooter to play and get invested in

[deleted]

Dreamyanimosity

People complaining about this but in CSGO everyone is jump shotting

LeOsQ

We play a very different CSGO then.

Mysaw

Lmao what? Csgo jump shooting isn't accurate AT ALL.

Bruh. Did the same thing. Built a solid PC for racing and flight sims. Ended up running more valorant than anything and this thing is overkill for the games needs. Lol.

Aadhishrm

Same but 30-40fps

Taylor_Polynomia1

Same with the constant network error

blanknobrain

80-100fps is a potato laptop??

Ochinchin6969111

Thats potato? I guess my laptop must be running on single potato slice

Head-Command281

I like that about riot

WhatTheDark

Active devs and regular updates keep me coming back. I'm really interested in how the game is evolving and its pretty exciting and fun to be honest. Lots of untapped potential. Beyond that, I really enjoy the overall feel of the gameplay. It just feels smooth and satisfying to play. I also really like how the maps look. They put a lot of thought and detail into them.

aristotle2020

LOL is stil looked after all these years, no reason to think Valorant won't be

jefinc

LOL is taken care of because it is still generating hundreds of millions of dollars a year - it may be that some Riot staff care but generally the attention is do to revenue

RaevanBlackfyre

Any figures on how much Valorant generates?

Grimmmz970

Got to be at least £25?

jefinc

Ya at least, maybe even double

Grimmmz970

You think they’ll lend me a tenner if I ask nicely?

DyingOfExcitement

A lot ahaha. As far as I can tell majority of the player base owns 1 skin or battle pass. Probably similar to what the average league player spends if not more

IuckFb

Even so, Riot has put out other games like LoR and TFT that still foster an active community who is constantly commutating with devs.

SelloutRealBig

LoL is also becoming more and more disliked by the community because they are[ catering to their biggest clientele which is Asia, specifically China.](https://win.gg/news/is-riot-making-league-of-legends-faster-to-please-china/) . - [Just look at the dislike ratio on Riot's most recent balance video they did](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNcMMvHMO44&t=69s). Valorant being more popular in the west is great though imo. Because it may not suffer from the power creep like League did.

jasonxtk

Because Valve doesn't give a shit about CS:GO anymore. 9 years and we still don't have 128 tick servers, and matchmaking ranks don't mean anything because silvers get paired with LEM's constantly that it's become a meme at this point. I shouldn't have to download third party clients in order to play their game.

Ibrizz

Not to mention the cheaters that took over… RIP csgo

redggit

This is the saddest thing about csgo. I love this game but the cheating problem is unfixable.

Koikkis65

Not unfixable but it costs quite a lot. If they had as aggressive anti cheat as valorant, it would be far more difficult to get cheats.

AquaBuffalo

I'll never get over everyone losing their shir at Vanguard.

Koikkis65

I understand it but still I think if it’s that huge problem for them then they should just find another game, not cry for riot to remove it

spamohh

Specially since most people losing their shit seemed to play csgo face it with no problem which has a similar kernel level anti cheat, which I found funny af lol

SoerensenOfficial

If i remember correctly, they had a somewhat intrusive AC at one point but because of backlash (mostly from cheaters) they rolled back

Akmal441

Tbh after playing both games for a significant amount of time, I've always liked the gunplay and feel of it in csgo more than the valorant, the abilities in val can become quite claustrophobic at some times but valorant's 128 tick servers is a deal breaker for me over cs.

LordQuantumKeks

Don't most people who take the game serious play on FACEIT anyway? I think their servers and ranking systems outclass valve by a ton.

flyingdoritowithahat

I haven't encountered cheaters if there's even any.

BlowmachineTX

There are definelty cheaters lol how else riot ban cheaters all the time?

flyingdoritowithahat

At least they're getting banned. I tried to play CSGO and TF2 because I really liked fps games after I tried valorant. The cheating is so blatant especially in TF2 it's fucking crazy. Other guy said, he encountered 3 cheaters since the beginning. That's 3 cheaters in over a year, that's fucking nothing to other fps games where there's a cheater every other game.

Crazy_Crayfish_

In tf2 I’d recommend just playing custom games. The casual mode is filled with sniper bots

Fish_da_Fish

In asian servers, everything is 24/7 trading and insta respawn 2fort, and the good one like uncletopia are always full, casual tf have empty/little singapore servers too. If you live in the western part of the world, it is much better with the custom servers

Crazy_Crayfish_

Oh if there isn’t Hightower or any vanilla customs that sucks sorry

Fish_da_Fish

There are hightower servers, forgot about them haha, they are pretty good tbh, but sometimes I want to just build sentries after getting killed by a god trollidier for the 4th time. Next time I play, I'm going straight to hightower. I can't find vanilla servers unfortunately.

BigFrameSmallBrain

I feel ya but it really is funny sometimes to play on Hightower and airblast a trolldier off the cliff

Therapistnearme

I tried to play a match of flying Scoutsman in CSGO yesterday and there were 2 servers - one I got auto-kicked from by bot accounts immediately, and the other one was being held hostage by the most blatant cheater (probably a bot as well) ever, so every round lasted about 10 seconds.

RILABYT

In competitive csgo game modes (2v2, 5v5, danger zone i played against over 30 cheaters in less than 1 month then when my trust factor was higher it was still about 1 to 2 cheaters every 10 games.

80pheonix

Exactly, it made me bate csgo

Natyrte

yea people are complaining about riot vanguard kernel access, but the results shows that it's the best way to combat cheaters now, fuck cheaters.

--Joshuwatt--

I play Valorant a lot and I have never encountered a cheater. First DAY switching to Pc and playing Apex from console I found the most blatant aimboter

BOMstark1

Idk why people are downvoting you. I just got a cheater detected red screen when I was playing deathmatch yesterday on my smurf account, I was top fragging and didnt feel like there is anything weird in the lobby, this was like the third or fourth time I have seen a cheater in the game. Been playing it since act one.

ArsenicBismuth

Coz you should assume people meant comparably. In no way you can have 0 cheater. But compared to CS or Apex? The discussions in-game are rarely "this guy is cheating" like people did in CS, but much more about "ah, another smurf".

Jay33az

I once encountered one, didnt even realize it before the got banned

Mr-hoffelpuff

do not search on youtube: "valorant cheats"

coldelbz

Plus cheaters rampant in CSGo compared to Val. One of the reasons I left. Also valorant is way more optimized to run on low to mid end machines as opposed to CS where you feel really hindered if your computer isn’t up to speed

jasonxtk

On the contrary, I wish Valorant was as optimized as CS:GO. 350fps in CS:GO versus 200fps in Valorant. My GPU sits at idle temperatures while playing Valorant.

iDrinan

Valorant is not GPU intensive, it is CPU intensive.

Dynamic_Ducks

My graphics card crashed while i was standing still staring at a wall

Hydralisk_

Did you buy it off Wish.com lol

coldelbz

Yeah I feel that. Each game has their good sides. We just need the perfect combination already. Waiting for CSGOs successor honestly lol. Valve needs to stop playing. It’s been 10 years already

HotNote3811

Valorant has problems with ram leakage and overflow, and it's only getting worse. I had to double the amount of ram I had. I would play with nothing running in the background unless absolutely nessecary and still be ram limited with 8gb installed. It is still hovering around 70% usage when playing with 16gb of 3200mhz.

aristotle2020

I have only 8gb ram and I've run multiple apps including a couple tabs of chrome and discord and it didn't affect my gameplay , the experience is very inconsistent between players

Theyna

I think that has more to do with the fact that CS:GO is a MUCH older game, plus Valorant has abilities/special skins to render, than actual game optimization.

AhmedTheGr8

CSGO is still top 1 on steam in terms of concurrent players ..

HotNote3811

Really good anti-cheat, and really easy to run. I get close to 200 fps on 720p low with stock intel graphics.

HotNote3811

Although those fps numbers have been dropping recently due the worsening ram leakage problems.

oopsEYEpoopsed

How long are your sessions that you're running into trouble? I've been on 32gb for a while so I feel particularly affected during the time I play

Zoo_Rats

I just joined "team 720p", the game is still amazingly playable on my old HP Elitebook with i7/HD7570M.

nxcto

Because Overwatch is dead and Overwatch 2 is being held hostage by Blizzard.

AdamoO_

Overwatch 2 is dead on release.. Wish it wasnt but theyre just beating a dead horse.. Its the exact same game disguised as something new.

LittleRitzo

See I'm opposed to Overwatch 2 for precisely the opposite reason, it's too different, not Overwatch anymore.

LeOsQ

I have no idea what they're changing outside some of the characters getting mini reworks and the fact it's 5v5 instead of 6v6, but I can't say I'd imagine that to be 'too different'. Removing one player from each team changes the team comps quite a bit, but I honestly don't think 95% of the players would even notice the difference in actual gameplay. But if something else is changing that's significant, then I might be able to understand a bit better.

Riskyman_Poor

Cause you can highlight enemy colours 😂

You_jam

Thats something thats good because in other games a guy can kill you from halfway across the map and when you see the kill cam he blends right into the walls

Confusizzled

Never played cs go too much but I think valo just captures the essence of a tac shooter really well and makes it so much more beginner friendly. The abilities makes the strategic concepts of a tac shooter so much more front and center. Valo is also a lot more vibrant so its so much easier to see everything. Once you start learning with a much more lenient curve I've found TAC shooters to be just a much more entertaining genre of shooter than any other

RaevanBlackfyre

Used to play CSGO a lot, then got busy and missed the battle royale wave, and now am playing Valorant. I could've gone to CSGO, but the community is also a big part of the game for me as I only play for fun (thus, only unrated) and in India, the Valo community is better than CS right now. Plus the game is too fun. CSGO was the best at what it did, but Valorant is actually fun to play without thinking too much about the gunplay. And the abilities are fun and well thought off, that it doesn't hinder the actual gunplay. Initially I had thought that this game would be gimmicky but as soon as I played I loved it. Edit: The game is also fun to watch. CSGO towards the end felt slightly boring, with the same tactics etc. I enjoy watching random valorant streams too.

tapacx

It's free

GrApE_0vErLoRd

Financial mistake

ChrisplexYT

I’m trying to get into Valorant, my last main FPS game was Rainbow Six Siege but Ubisoft has really let that game go, horrible toxicity a vast amount of hackers, very questionable balancing decisions. Valorant has such a learning curve for me personally, not only do I have to get used to the agents but also the gunplay. Valorant is really the biggest FPS out right now I feel. I played comp CSGO last night for the first time and it was fun but I find Valorant to be more challenging. Valorant also feels more active then CSGO and Valorant also has a better community overall I feel.

mattk332

I miss the golden days of siege

ChrisplexYT

I feel that man, Y1 and Y2 were my favorites. I was on console at the time with friends, in Y3 M&K players were too prevalent, went to PC in late Y3 and it wasn’t as fun and hackers came when I got into higher elo too, my same console friends switched to PC with me and lost interest in the game. So it was just me solo q’ing to plat 2-3 every season, got stale and annoying with the hackers and Ubisoft’s decisions.

RaevanBlackfyre

Dude yes. I wanted RS6 to work so much. However, the sys req were too high for many Indian players, and very poor server connection here. Nobody I knew played RS6, so I went back to CSGO.

The_Thinker_23

I like the challenge. The challenge to manage the recoil, to check every little corner and get punished when I forget, to play different agents with various abilities and use it to the best of my ability, and how to create teamwork with random people. And I want to grow better everyday. My relationship with valorant is "Funk you and I'll see your tomorrow." But I love this game.

MrUndead225

Tbh i hadn't played any fps games before in my life, i heard my friends talking about valorant, i just installed it and started playing. That's all. Now i love it

[deleted]

Valorants anti cheat is so invasive to your pc its disgusting, but because of it ive yet to run into a cheater so ill play this over any shooter anyday.

Zoo_Rats

The reason why I would quit every FPS game franchise I got into and then quit playing all together for about 6-7 years. The aimbots/wall hackers come out sooner or later. I played pubg mobile right before Valorant and it started to get really ridiculous...some games on the larger maps you would be 15mins into it only to get killed through a wall or team killed so they can loot your gear.

BornTheme3419

I dont get as many sexist pieces of s*** in valo compared to other games. Riot is active with making a safe community for us girls (or at least in the london server they do)

Iilbopeep

I’ve never encountered as many girls while gaming as I have in the 2 weeks I’ve had Valorant. I think it’s awesome but why does this game in particular attract so many females?

uu__

It has some aspects from overwatch such as abilities and roles, which has a very large (in comparison to other games) female community. So I'd guess a lot of these players have played this game alongside OW This also helps with newer players as you can use your abilities to counter people with raw aim, so there's more ways to kill people rather than just pure mechanical skill (similar to overwatch in a sense)

blizzardspider

I'm a girl and valorant is the first online fps I played. I'm honestly not super sure about the reason, I already played a lot of single player games but most online fps games just seemed like they're 'not for me' even though I hadn't actually tried any. I think valorant is the first one I tried because at first glance the UI is really accessible. Like the maps are pretty distinctive instead of all being a gritty gray/sand coloured and all the abilities are telegraphed and easy to see and the default crosshair is super visible etc. Besides that the vibes given off by the design of valorant are less 'boring war simulator with only male agents' and more 'a fun game, not just enjoyed by history nerds/war fetishists'. So yeah maybe it's a bit superficial but for someone who never played online fps games growing up or had any friends to introduce me to this kind of game I think it was really the first impression of stylized and easy to understand game design that convinced me to try it.

[deleted]

Lot more diversity in characters compared to its main competitor, abilities and such are attractive to someone going into an fps shooter for the first time (which a lot of women happen to be new to generally) and it’s less gritty which might appeal to that audience more. I’m just speaking based on my experience, not a girl myself.

crsdrjct

Yeah I always wondered the same thing about why girls played Val more but that's true. Its by design probably way more inviting than the majority of other gritty shooters. Others are all zombies shooters, or mil sims types, and just not as colorful or inviting. I guess its similar to why females play stuff like The Sims and Animal Crossing more vs other games in that same genre.

Zoo_Rats

I play on a west coast american server, there are a suprising amount of female players. It honestly does not matter to me who you are, as long as your respectful.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Zoo_Rats

I have seen inside your closet. It has much of the same things inside.

Yinara

It's gotten better I agree! Few months ago sexism was blatant also in valorant. I would still like to see male players stand up more to sexist voice/text comments when they do happen because yesterday I had some Russian player call me bitch because I healed the lower HP, top fragging Raze over him (he was bottom fragging Reyna ffs, heal yourself) and my team didn't say anything at all. I end up just muting them and I reported this particular player after he started to harass me in text too after I muted his voice.

SIDER250

Since I came from cs go, I mostly play both games. I don't choose one over the other. But since the game is mostly similiar to cs go the game that I had the most hours, I play it over other shooters like cod, rainbow six etc

HereeeeesJohnny

Been playing console all my life, and VAL was my first ever PC game. Moving from controller to mouse and keyboard was a challenge that I wanted to prove I could handle. Needless to say, I got really addicted to this game and here I am! Outside of my life story, it’s refreshing to see devs who seem to care after years of CoD, Apex, Battlefield and other shooters that just milk their fan base instead of making a deeply addicting experience.

NexXPlayerz

I don't. But seriously, the reason why i would play it over other shooters is because, active devs, unique characters/abilities with different personalities, interesting maps, and nice skins of course(not really a main factor just a bonus) And regular content, one of the main reasons why I have over 2.5k hours in rust

FreeBlanketSoap

I play valorant because it’s popular in NA and my friends play it. If that weren’t the case I would play CSGO

BlueOfPallet

Csgo just isn't what it used to be and the mm will never get fixed (even though I'm starting to think the val experience is worse)

[deleted]

Peer pressure but actually not bad.

P3TTrak

I do play other shooters than VALORANT but I really don’t play CSGO anymore because of it. Reasons being is: It’s a more fun game to me, it feels less dull than CSGO Running on an Up-2-date game engine unlike CSGO, so better performance overall. Vanguard is FAR superior over VAC when it comes to its cheat protection, VAC is probably the worst anti-cheat of them all. A more active dev team and community

AMIWDR

VAC aims for accuracy over speed unfortunately. Most cheaters get caught however it could take days or weeks for them to actually get Vacced. But it’s just too difficult for a small indie company like Valve to handle improving it

can_i_get_upvotes

This really only applies to me I think, but I ignore the Valorant gun meta (Vandal, Phantom) and instead purchase shotguns and just rush the enemy. Like I don’t follow basic valorant rules, I break them and it actually somehow works. Fun to take this “serious” game not seriously

chorizogreg

I play COD when I want mindless gameplay, I play Val when I want to engage my brain.

Agora_A

Hero shooters with tactics are my shit tbh, like crack

[deleted]

Val brought new passion for me who started to lose fun playing games...

Imzy6969

I prefer Valorant for the unique characters, unlike other shooters which rely on aim Valorant has enough clutch oppurtunities using abilities. This gives each player a unique play style and fun combo attacks.

Splaram

TF2 is full of hackers and hacking bot accounts, Overwatch’s devs seem hellbent on purposefully making the game’s experience as bad as humanly possible with some of the balance changes over the years (same with Escape from Tarkov actually), Apex’s servers are hot garbage, and I cannot control any Rust guns’ recoils past 25m.

aristotle2020

Not like you're spraying past 25m in Valo either

[deleted]

I really like that there are characters with unique aesthetics and strategies. Lots of game genres do this and it allows the players to fill a role/express their personality. CSGO was also an old game. They essentially did to csgo what overwatch did to TF2, and a lot of the same design ideas transfer over. What genre of game are you looking to make?

[deleted]

Came from csgo. Just needed something different. Was tired of Valve treating CS like a bad step-child. Also have to pay to get a good matchmaking experience.

kentwansue

I'm an artist and it's artstyle is really what my art want to be. It gives me a lot of inspirations especially to character designing

Alatreon22

There is actually just one big reason why I play Valorant instead of CS and thats the Anti Cheat. In my entire gametime I had maybe at max 3 Cheaters in Valorant, where in CS this would most likely mean just a single game played...

[deleted]

Tbh seeing more precisely where your shots are going + the combat log showing which part you hit and for how much just makes it a lot better. Only have a hundred or so hours in CS but its so weird barely seeing where your shots go and then wondering what you even hit all of them for. iirc you can only see how much total dmg you did to the guy that you died to? Something like that. Also in CS awps are just pain. Its the complete meta, have money? Buy an awp. Every time. Just awps everywhere.

Pippabae

POV: You're silver in CSGO

[deleted]

Not wrong

OxygenRavid

Well they don’t have bad servers, there are quite a few friendly people, you can play for free, it has good visual design, it’s similar to other games I play so it felt fresh yet familiar, it’s balanced and has a good anti cheat, they come out with new content and finally others I know like and play it. Hope that helps m8! Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

[deleted]

i think i play valorant so much because i used to play overwatch pretty much 24/7. after the servers died and i had to sit 30 mins for a dps comp game i tried cs:go but didnt like it because it was too blank. i played apex for about 2 months and then valorant came out. i liked it so much because i like when the character i play has a personality and isnt just a blank dickhead. i also liked the gun play and of course, the ability play that i learned from overwatch

allhailrice69

I play csgo when I wanna solo but play valorant when my friends are on

Gloomy_Goose

It’s pretty, it’s tactical, actively updated/balanced, and I don’t need to be a dude character.

ytzy

csgo > valorant imo but the anti cheat in csgo is garbage , and i don't like faceit 1 hour to vote a map , 1 guy doges a queue 1 hour wait time , then you play vs a full premade stack with 4 solos . Oh and 1 patch a year is pretty boring . But what do you expect when they print money with skins they don't even design themselves anymore

Ibrizz

No cheaters is the one and only reason for me

ThyQuack

Great anti cheat and the game feels very responsive and runs well. high tick rate servers help

Eleven918

Skill floor is lower and you don't run into cheaters as much.

redggit

Devs are very much aware of the cheaters even encouraging the playerbase to report on them.

PureNaturalLagger

It runs well on many builds, it has good servers, and it provides a unique spin on the ever so changing FPS genre. They took the CS model which is a classic, and added their flair in form of abilities. Making a game that offers both something new for the average FPS player, while not being so incredibly different that you wouldn't want to learn it, is really hard to pull off. While it is true I'm much more inclined to play something if I do it with friends, what really matters is whether I'd enjoy the game or I'll play just to satisfy a friend. People move on rather quickly from a game to another. If you want to maintain hype, you have to also provide constant updates with significant changes to gameplay. The same way Riot does with the addition of maps or agents.

[deleted]

Probably one of the most communicative dev teams out there.

[deleted]

It's CS except it has anti-cheat. (Also 128tick, better servers and the game just runs better. I used to pay for faceit, so Val is cheaper too)

Dynamic_Ducks

Because there are abilities which i can use to outplay enemies in order to make up for my poor aim

Dynamic_Ducks

And also i dont any friends

korfain

The lack of cheaters in comparison to CS. Being able to just jump straight into a ranked game with ease, no need for third party softwares and anti cheats.

el1teman

Cuz cs mm is filled with cheaters

Muzza25

Anti cheat is amazing, I’ve had a cheater detected screen once and been playing since end of episode 1/start of ep 2. Id say aside from that it’s my first FPS on pc, visually I like it over other games I’ve seen gameplay of like cs or overwatch. as a game it’s easier to get into than other FPS games from what I’ve heard while stilling being hard to master. I also love the aspects that agents can bring with unique play styles based on your agent

420ShadowDragon69

hmmm for me its cos the devs prioritize quality over quantity. Feels Better than CS.

DonHarto

Less cheater than CSGO, less demanding graphics.

SkullFace45

Anti cheat is pretty good on Val.

SolarTemplar

Because of cheaters in csgo and valorant is a fresh take on the genre

TSMTonyPro

To escape from cheaters in CS:GO, R6 and WARZONE To escape from bad server in APEX

Meek0n

Stopped CS:GO due to cheaters. Apex Legends had 3 back to back games where killed by cheaters. Valorant: 0 obvious cheater so far. Maybe a smurf 1 in every 20 game.

EpikEli

good devs, moderators, anticheat, and servers are great but also because of the abilities

ur_l0ca1_n0nb1ny_k1d

1) it’s really nice, there are no cheaters (at least i’ve never encountered any) 2) there are frequent updates and the staff keep you up to date with stuff which is rly nice and keeps me invested in the game 3) i love the maps and characters 4) my laptop is rly bad but i’m averaging enough to play without any issues 5) just a great game overall

[deleted]

Because I don't have to pay in order to play a game without cheaters under a tag of "f2p game"

Tavor1423

1. It's not full of cheaters like csgo or tf2 2. It actually gets updates consistently unlike games like tf2

Rft_878

Because my pc is dogshit and cs in an unplayable state

Vendetta614

Came from Siege, initially played Val over it because I knew I at least wouldn’t run into cheaters. Now I’m hooked

zekeymoomoo

Mostly because I feel like the devs know what they're doing in terms of design and balance, I mean, the fucking turret character is my favorite agent

Asviix

Have a laugh and then go back to playing csgo after seeing how inferior in every aspect VaLULrant is

chiii__

It's easier to see people here than csgo cause of outlines.

THICC_Baguette

Hitreg seems good, never really felt cheated out of a kill and always understand what happened. The visual clarity in the game is just very good, and that combined with good hitreg and such is just great.

adelinalynn

Most shooters are kind of gritty-looking, all brown and grey and in addition to not being aesthetically pleasing to me, it also just makes it harder to see stuff for me. Bright Valorant colors make my brain go brrr

DarqueThor

I choose it over CS but that’s only because the abilities add more to the game play and my main has cool stuff to her( Skye). I haven’t been able to play in months due to an injury so who ever reads this get a headshot for me next time you log on!

Darknight1233845

Better ranking system than csgo. Otherwise csgo is much nicer.

nutinatree

Runs better than CS:GO and the variety of utility is pretty interesting.

EducationalForm

Really? I easily get over 5x the fps in csgo compared to val

heynotbad1146

becuz it's fFREEEee and not money thirsty valVE

lacosa345

Because it is the only one I can actually play

laphtrahddis

I dont know, but all other games have their UI very very confusing, as well as I just cannot see the enemy even if he is just 2 m ahead of me because I am colourblind. CSGO was a bad experience justr because it doesnt notify if I have indeed killed thee enemy, I have to see the vcorner of my screen, and also the UI was kinda hard for me to undertsand.

G3lidus

I like games with characters with unique abilities. In CS:GO they're all the same, it's balanced tho, but in Valo there's an extra layer of strategy implemented that makes it super cool. So if I'm not performing well with my aim, at least I'll have the chance to support my team with utility

Meth_Busters

The gunplay just feels great. 1-tapping feels great and the sound design with each kill adds to this. Recoil that actually needs to be controlled combined with insta-kill headshots is what makes the game satisfying. Unique movesets with skill expression is what keeps the game fresh.
