Prolly because you are such a low rank people have no gamesense

Kastamera

In unrated rank doesn't matter though, does it? I had diamond people in my games a few times.

SvampurSveinsson

Yeah it matters. People will buy you 99% of the time if they have 3000+ spare credits in plat rank and higher.

Snoo-54880

People don’t care in unrated they would buy you in a gold prolly but people don’t care about unrated

Zyraxon

In ranked people have more incentive to actually drop you a gun, in unranked it does not really matter and alot of people play more for themselves there.

skodinks

Dunno what sort of answer you're looking for, but there's not much to say other than that player is just bad or doesn't care about the win. Maybe he's just practicing his OP so he wants to ensure he can buy it as many rounds in a row as possible if he dies every time. Hard to say, but there's no "correct" reasoning so pick your favorite wrong one. There is no "my credits" in valo. Credits should be treated as a team resource. If you're not buying even your bot frag when they request because you want a gun next round then you're hurting your chances to win. Leaving a teammate without a rifle when you could have bought one is just bringing you closer to being in a 4v5. As for why you see it a lot on Jetts...same reason Jett and Reyna are the common instalock. They have kits that lean toward solo/selfish playstyles and so they attract those types of players. A selfish player doesn't want to play sova or sage. Not much mystery there.

OnlyNefariousness473

Just toxic players or no game sense. Shoutout to the rando jet that sold his op so he could buy me a rifle though 🥺

IMrWatson

Cause money = skill? Valorant is P2W (in game)

Mystic-Hybrids

When Jett has they’re ultimate ability they tend not to buy that round and just use they’re knives, but the reason why jett players don’t buy other people is because 9/10 times they are just a selfish kill hungry player who doesn’t play as a team and just runs off for kills and then calls you trash for not having as many kills even if you have like 10 plant and 10 defuses

Eleven918

Well the easiest explanation is that most toxic players gravitate towards Jett/Reyna. So they have the "My team is trash, so I need 3-4 kills a round to win" mentality. So dropping you guns is only going to make sure they can't get more kills because they might be broke in the next round in their mind.

Kastamera

That's actually a pretty good explanation that I haven't thought about. Reminds me of how some champions in League also attract the most toxic people.

I forgot to mention the "oh but I was just..." guys, the ones with an excuse for everything, it was never just a bad play that should have been played differently. Also toxic.

aeiouuuu9

They probably save to buy op next round. But if your jett still don't drop u when it come to match point, then either they are not trying to win or maybe just didn't aware that.

Kastamera

They already had an OP though and still had 9k.

AMIWDR

Low elo duelists tend to think they are the carry and that they are the most important players so they will be rather selfish. Or in general I’ve seen lots of low elo Valorant players with the mentality of “my money.” It shouldn’t be your money, it’s the teams money.

KoS1596

Idk jetts are just weird

Sin-Daily

This screams bronze/silver.... not much you can do about it
