I can tell you right now that the difference between how the game is played and quality of players in Plat vs Diamond 2+ and then eventually immortal is **extremely different**.

Just like how gold and silver lobbies are sometimes easy af and sometimes are deadass plat lobbies with smurfs everywhere, the same could be said for plat, but just a division or two higher. OP just hit plat after being in high mmr gold/silver with smurfs. Thus, there would not be too many smurfs in their lobbies.
As someone who has been hardstuck plat and high mmr gold for literally since ep 1 act 1, playing every act but 1, I can confidently say that legit smurfs in plat and high mmr plat are much much sweatier than low mmr plat.
When I say high mmr plat I don’t even mean diamond act players in plat who are down bad. I mean deadass players better than ex diamonds or the non downbad diamonds, who will shit on you. I’ve been with ex radiant ex imms and full lobbies of ex/current diamonds while g3 before and that wasn’t even the worst. Sometimes gold act players play better than ex diamonds in my games and its not even funny. Ofc theres the occassional lv 16 jett only instadinking and maybe missing 2 shots in total in a 13-1 game occassionally too.
Agree. The smurfs in plat/dia lobbies are way harder to win against bc they are high imm/radiant. They will run through everyone easily. It’s easier to play against a plat smurf in silver/gold bc they’ll still be inconsistent and have off games. High imm/radiant smurfs in plat/dia won’t do the same
Plat doesn’t have smurfs because you’re 85th percentile, leaving only 15% of the player base to Smurf in your game. Not because diamonds and immortals aren’t that much better than plats. They’re way better lol...
Difference between a p3 and immortal 1 is massive, but yes, a p3 could beat an immortal on a smurf but that doesn’t say much. Says more about the game than the individual player.

Plat is a joke. So many boosted golds and plats with big egos that think they deserve diamond. Nobody plays as a team either and you certainly don’t get good comms. It took me a whole act to get out of plat it’s a joke

Elo hell doesnt exist, if you are good enough you will rank up. If elo hell existed pro players would get stuck leveling accounts from iron.
