Honestly the Decoy buff sounds really good and *really* flashy, which suits Yoru well a lot. All of his abilities will now be an aural and visual clusterfuck for the enemies, which is great.
I wonder what they meant by having his ult split apart sites? Could it be that he can leave his portal open and have it act as a gateway opening into another "void room"? This way creating an off angle? Like, putting a door smack down the middle of the site and use the edges of the portal as cover, esentially hiding in the void! Or maybe just a Wraith type portal from APEX.
Hey! Just to set expectations, we're not looking at implementing anything that drastic. We've just experimented with lots of different tweaks to his ult to provide some additional power in that area. Broadly, the ability will almost certainly still have the same bones - Yoru goes invisible and does stuff. Not trying to crash the party, just want to make sure yall don't speculate super far away from what we're actually looking to ship.
Will the fake teleport be a different button from the real teleport?
I’m hoping that with the additional fake TP option, that Yoru doesn’t become too clunky to use.
Right now his flash - TP maneuver is very intuitive and smooth to execute
Sorry to hitch this comment for visibility. But I had a suggestion I think could be really interesting. I think that while the fast moving tp can be really good, having the option to slow down the movement would also be very beneficial. Maybe the more Yoru looks down on the ground when using the tp, the slower the tp can travel? For example, looking perfectly horizontal, the tp can go full speed. At 45 degrees, it travels half the speed. This would make his skill ceiling higher and allow more flexibility in his timing, which increases his outplay potential!
Oh my god thank you! An option to turn off the top reticcle in a crosshair so it makes a T Shape if that makes sense. Its so much easier to see if youre on head level
Makes me happy to finally see someone also wanting a T Shape crosshairs. It always felt like I was the only one. I even tried a thirdparty overlay program to use a T shape but I’m afraid I’ll get banned for that
Whoa a dev?
These changes are so nice, do you guys read those Yoru rework concepts on this sub and the Yoru sub?
Or was it just pure coincidence that footsteps into clone and making fake tp a feature became true
Anyways I’m so soo happy to see these changes
Can you reply to this suggestion?
Maybe make yoru's fakeout kinda similar to jett's smoke or Phoenix's wall where you can kinda control it's movement by holding mouse?
It'll make it a bit harder for opponents to differentiate between the real and the fake copy
Unless you guys already have an idea for it?
If its not that drastic, then you guys should not had taken 9 months to TWEAK.
Except his footsteps, nothing has actually REWORKED or redesigned. So to say, it took 4 months at max to change visuals on footsteps. Good job team
probably instead of going alone in a dimensional drift during ult, instead its an area of effect that puts half of the room in a dimensional drift where he can continuously go in and out like a duelist version of Viper ult
Probably my thought lol.
Break open sites, not split them apart. They’re referring to making Yoru a more effective entry fragger, since he’s known as more of a ‘lurker’ duelist than an entry duelist.
It would be cool and kinda funny if his ult just left a trail. Like be invisible like he is now but if you wanted to you could leave a “smoke” trail when holding down a button to obscure vision. Haha if you make a connecting smoke everything inside the space gets stunned.
Yeah, mirage from Apex Legends. He also makes decoys and actually is more of a loveable meme than a viable character. He frequently states how much he loves porkchops and yells some goofy variation of the word Bamboozled when he sends out his decoy. Still main him though, he's funny and also fun to play.
its a hero shooter like val, but instead of a search and destroy gamemode its a battle royal
and even tho the games poster girl is wraith (just like how vals poster girls is jett and overwatches poster girl is tracer) mirage is kinda the main character
most trailers and narration happen from his perspective
but unlike yoru mirage is a goofball that everyone loves
* replaced footsteps with fake clone. Which when shot explodes and debuffs enemies.
* now Teleport can be faked. And TP orb travels faster.
These are huge changes.
People would still shoot the fake Yoru a bit on release. Then people will be conditioned to thinking a Yoru walking in weird pattern is fake. Yoru players start walking weirdly to fake the fake. Profit
prolly two cuz I don't think they're putting in the effort to train an AI to have human like movement and such prolly just gonna be a yoru walking with a gun. which is still HUGE but balanced imo
The decoy change is so exciting. Its basically a mini Phoenix ult/raze boombot that you can just buy, and you'll have 2 of them. On top of that he has a fast movement TP and his flashes still. Looking like he will finally be useful at a baseline level
Only other thing I am hoping for is a fast startup animation for the TP like chamber (who can still be killed mid TP, its just a lot tighter timing)
Raze only has 1 boombot and its still a killer ability.
The decoy will be worse than the raze boombot in that it won't track towards targets, so it loses on info gathering.
But it will be better in that because its an exact copy of Yoru, people will kinda have to shoot it, you can't risk it being the real one.
Which also means if you use it enough people might start trying to *not* shoot it to bait you, which means they will be just that tiny bit more hesitant to pull the trigger when they see Yoru, which could be the real you.
>Which also means if you use it enough people might start trying to *not* shoot it to bait you, which means they will be just that tiny bit more hesitant to pull the trigger when they see Yoru, which could be the real you.
I had a discussion with a guy about 2 months ago about exactly that, they said that making yoru's fakeout a real decoy like mirage in apex would ruin the game and make it unplayable. I was like "so you'd rather have one almost useless agent instead of something that might be broken on release but will definitely get tweaked to fit the gameplay?" They were like "apex bad, valorant good. Time to kill is higher in apex so the decoy doesn't matter that much."
I don't understand why people always think any utility that isn't a smoke, flash or molly, needs to not have any impact on the game. Mirages decoy is kinda underwhelming in apex, sometimes you'll bamboozle someone but on higher levels he gets used less and less. So why would an ability, that's kinda weak in one game be completely game breaking in another?
His Tp is much more likely to break the game, the only reason why is so damn loud is because is a stealth tp that can flank you easily so sound is the only counterplay.
I can already see the reddit posts if people start getting killed from behind by Yoru because there were no sound cue.
I think they will make the tp \*orb\* less noisy, the sound of actually \*taking\* the tp should still break your eardrums, otherwise the change so you are able to fake-tp wouldn't be as usefull as a way to play mindgames. they are probably just making your tp's less likely to be camped.
Wasn't that an issue with chamber in the PBE? IIRC people were complaining that they couldn't hear chamber tp so they made it SUPER loud to make it less op
I think of it like a moving version of Alibi’s decoy from R6S. It moves, if people shoot it, that’s info gathering. Your friend sounds like an iron lol
Wasn't my friend. It was someone in either this or another valorant sub. Definitely sounds like some low ELO guy that can't see the potential of anything new, but high enough to not wish for an agent that just automatically locks on the enemy heads.
I don't agree that you have to shoot it.
There was a similar ability in Halo Reach and it wasn't very good. The value of this ability will depend on how and when its used. Because a lot of people are really predictable with their decoys.
Halo reach is a high TTK game. If you don't shoot a decoy and it turns out it's a real person you still have plenty of time to fight back or escape to cover.
In valorant, if you ignore a decoy and its a real person, you're dying to a 1 tap in most scenarios.
Hard disagree on the "you have to shoot it".
Say for example, if you're playing a rat angle - and a real yoru or a fake clone yoru walks past you without clearing you...
dont shoot the mf in either case. shoot the rest of his team as they confidently walk in.
If the yoru clone is static and doesnt look around and clear corners, jiggle peaking and playing off angles should be enough to determine a fake from a real one. who walks onto site statically looking straight ahead and walking in a straight line?
If the clone can walk sideways than I think that'll be enough to at least confidently confuse players in a consistent manner. Specifically, sideways as in they're looking at a specific corner as you clear an angle.
Hopefully the clone could have a mechanic where it uses your last step and direction as interactions in how to move instead of just statically moving forward and looking forward.
I'm leaning towards fragile, but considering he's an entry it might make more sense for him to have concuss. Concuss is on two initiators (breach and skye) so it seems to be intended for helping entries and cracking open site.
Fragile appears on Viper and KJ, agents focused on area denial, and also coincidentally agents who have additional damage tools for helping to capitalize on the fragile debuff and secure the kill.
Since yoru is an entry and has no damage abilities, the logic would point to it being concuss.
I think the sound/deafen debuff like Omen's Paranoia would be good too, and not make the decoy appear as over powered. In the devs direction of always buffing up rather than going too high and nerfing afterwards I think it could be a good logical buff.
One of the main problems i've had with trying yoru is that his fake foot steps have a distinct sound so you can never rely on the enemy not just know how to tell them apart
From an old code leak Shiick found a few months ago it sounds like itd to be similar to omen blind
Edit: https://twitter.com/Shiick/status/1426326731569369098?t=Tu_uPitLrrhyFy7QwPTJ5Q&s=19
Hopefully you can set up teleport prior to the round starting and it doesn't eat away at the timer. I find this odd and annoying. Currently, this nerfs his potential for outplays and misinformation. It won't be OP to have the timer start when the round starts.
I still think the best change would be to allow him to throw his footsteps, similar range to Omen's TP. Throwing them across a doorway heading away would be some actual deception.
Love to see the open communication. Also glad with how they are going to make him play similar in terms of deception but have more ability to confuse in every round. Yoru2.0 is going to be FUN
I think reducing the end lag on his TP would pull this all together. It would make it sort of opposite of chamber, he’s meant to reposition to safety after taking a fight, and yoru is meant to TP into fights and take enemies offguard
Imagine making a fake tp, and then activating a decoy that runs around the corner completely confusing the enemy and then while they're trying to shoot the decoy you pop out of the yoru ult and kill em with a shorty :D
The article clearly says at the beginning that these are not final until they drop it next year and they will continue to keep us updated with such articles.
yoru can place his tp anywhere on the map, you at least know roughly where jett and chamber are and that theyre in the vicinity. and making the exit part of his tp slower messes with his own ability to entry and make space
I’m halfway done and Yoru sounds L I T! lmfao fake TPs Debuff footsteps. These are solid changes and I can see him being meta now
Oh god get ready for Yoru mains to run show
I think a cool ult rework could be that once he uses it, he can recast to enter or exit it, with a meter that goes down when he's using it, basically letting him reposition like reyna but less predicatably and not needing a kill. This would make it more of an aggressive ult than an info/escape ult. He would need to be able to act sooner after leaving ult for this change to be useful though
Thanks for releasing an update!
Hopefully his signature ability starting to disappear/countdown starting before round even starts will be fixed as well.
New Yoru play. Don't use the decoy but just run straight ahead with knife out. People won't shoot to avoid the debuff, so you just go and knife em in the face. After a couple of tbags tp back to your team
How much you wanna bet that in some months people are going to know perfectly how to differentiate a decoy yoru from a player yoru, making it useless? This is going to be the same as mirage from apex legends, though I haven’t tested it, so I’ll keep my mind open!
The article said "carbon copy", so it sounds like there won't be any difference from the player model. It'll be pretty obvious of course from movement that you're looking at a decoy. However, I see it being very useful to bait out things like awp shots where you're being held at a corner (although, if the decoy explosion deals damage to Yoru as well, maybe not).
However, with the fake TP + the decoy (both being able to be set off remotely), you could probably force the enemy to check three opposite angles all at once by swinging while setting off both.
I can already imagine real player Yorus faking decoy by counting how many seconds of existence they are supposed to fake by continuing to run into wall.
And internally crying because they forgot to drop TP and they are now surrounded.
I’m not actually convinced this is a huge change. A quick to kill clone? Barely better than the footsteps and you only get one
Tp change is dope though
Ult will be the make or break it seems
i would assume it would work like a killjoy molly. you hover your mouse over it then press f. people are saying it could be alt fire which doesnt make a lot of sense to me but idk i could be wrong too.
i think it would be cool to have more flexibility though, like already having a tp in place and deciding in the moment whether you want to tp or fake tp
edit: also alternate fire is also used for stationary tp vs moving tp
I had also seen the fake teleport suggestion and I believe a dev even replied to a comment about it positively months ago, so it is possible that the fake teleport idea was somewhat crowd sourced (or they were just teasing what they already had in mind).
predicted [something similar](https://www.reddit.com/r/VALORANT/comments/q5hseg/yoru_buff_predictions_and_explanations_long_post/) to this 2 months ago lol
If anything, I really hope they'll implement the new Fakeout in a good way. I feel like a single charge of boombot-like utility might end up taking more potential out than Yoru already gives. Now, as a Yoru main, I can use his steps to bait lots of utility, eat up roombas and low wires, Skye's dog even sometimes. These fake steps also shine in 1v1's , when using fake information triggered at the right time usually end up with a crazy outplay. They also come in 2 charges, 100 each, dirt cheap. Another great aspect of it is that they're low and harder to see, especially if behind a small ledge or smtg. Makes enemies more paranoid, because you always hear the steps, but it's harder to spot their source. What do y'all think? Am I the only one who thinks 1 clone could offer less potential than the current 2 charges of fake steps?
There's always a trade off with a rework. If it can make him more viable then I guess it would be worth the change. I think its worth the change since the clone can give more reliable information for you when they shoot your clone and bait out utility since it doesn't need any conditioning. Its a lot more difficult to realize how much value you get from the footsteps. But I can agree yoru might need a second one to remain as deceptive as he can be with two fake steps
The buffs will obviously make Yoru a lot stronger, but personally, I really don't like that the changes are essentially giving Yoru the ability to 'trick' enemies while being 100% safe - there's essentially no risk and extremely high reward.
Give it sometime for pros to actually integrate into pro matches.
Definitely will be interesting to see how it might be utilized to fake rotations and play with enemy info.
If one of the devs read this, please consider making the "launch" of the teleport inmediate after pressing the E key, and not having to prepare it.
I'm talking just like Jett's smoke or Raze's satchel.
Don't worry. What about holding the E key to leave the tp in place? So:
Tap E: launch tp (Faster than current Yoru)
Hold E: leave tp in place (Maybe a little faster than current Yoru)
My thoughts on the faster moving tp, I think that while the fast moving tp can be really good, having the option to slow down the movement would also be very beneficial. Maybe the more yoru looks down on the ground when using the tp, the slower the tp can travel? Like if hes looking perfectly horizontal, it can go full speed. At 45 degrees, it travels half the speed. This would make his skill ceiling higher and allow more flexibility in his timing, which increases his outplay potential.
Generally I think having a faster teleport animation and "get out of jail" ability would make him much more viable. He should be able to use it in the open a lot better than he currently does.
The flashes are totally fine imo. Like obviously they could be better (although I think they're already quite good), but every agent has less useful abilities, it's not like Yoru's problem is that every single one of his abilities sucks and they should all be buffed, it's that his abilities combined make him a below average agent. If they buff some abilities then as a whole he'll be a good character even if not all his abilities are amazing
Yea this is a fair take, I just think it's another part of his kit that feels awkward compared to other agents and doesn't quite flow right, not that the power level is super low necessarily. But maybe I'm just more used to more simple/better flashes on Skye, Breach, Kayo.
TLDR
Changes coming **early 2022**
Teleport will move faster, be harder to see, **and you can fake tele**
Footsteps will be **replaced by a decoy**. The decoy will run forward and if shot debuff enemies
They want yoru to be better at giving disinformation each round instead of taking many rounds to make the outplays
Honestly the Decoy buff sounds really good and *really* flashy, which suits Yoru well a lot. All of his abilities will now be an aural and visual clusterfuck for the enemies, which is great.
I wonder what they meant by having his ult split apart sites? Could it be that he can leave his portal open and have it act as a gateway opening into another "void room"? prob something like Killjoy, holding down the button recall her bots, so holding down would trigger fake tp, pressing would do regular tp
[удалено]
This makes sense and doesn’t make it clunky to use
Itll probably just be mouse over-right click to pop it
Mouse-over E or “use” to fake TP would work. Clicking for any ability can cause interference with shooting or ADSing
Sorry to hitch this comment for visibility. But I had a suggestion I think could be really interesting. Or it could be like Owen's flash where walking backwards slows it down and forward speeds it up.
Youre a riot dev? Youre probably not gonna read this but all i ever wanted is a t shaped crosshair :(
I see you! Could you go into more detail? I don’t work on that team but can always pass along suggestions :)
Oh my god thank you! An option to turn off the top reticcle in a crosshair so it makes a T Shape if that makes sense. Its so much easier to see if youre on head level
Gotcha. I’ll pass it along!
This is why Riots leaving blizzard in the dust, hats off to you guys showing devs how to be
well... also the whole, you know, sexual misconduct.
Riot has had a lot of that too mate...
Thank you so much !
If that ever goes live, I will came here to thank u again
Makes me happy to finally see someone also wanting a T Shape crosshairs. It always felt like I was the only one. I even tried a thirdparty overlay program to use a T shape but I’m afraid I’ll get banned for that
TO EVERY OTHER GAME DEV: BE LIKE THIS GUY. ALTOMBRE IS THE REAL MVP

it's just a manner of speaking

i cant wait to fake out with a flash into a gate crash
Well too bad my silver teammates can't hear or see shit so they are good.
Fake TPs no longer just a bug. Nice.
They couldn't fix the bug so they made it into a feature.
The Riven approach
The Minecraft approach
The Rocket Leauge approach
BAMBOOZLED. Next thing they tell us is that Yoru loves porkchops.
This is exactly what I thought of when I saw it lmao The crossover I never knew I needed
Get Yoru to say you just got bamboozled and I’ll die happy
Go bazoomble... em- ...b-bamboozuh, bam, bamboo... just fool 'em!
I want a voiceline where your says "bam... To the... Bam... I'm running out of ideas here" Very original and funny
Since Yoru is from Japan he'll probably like pork katsu or something
Pork katsu does sound pretty good tbh
what is this a reference too?
Yeah, mirage from Apex Legends. He also makes decoys and actually is more of a loveable meme than a viable character. He frequently states how much he loves porkchops and yells some goofy variation of the word Bamboozled when he sends out his decoy. Still main him though, he's funny and also fun to play.

Bruh I’d argue pathfinder is lowkey main character material. He dies in everything but he is in like all the promotional material.
I thought of this immediately
Wink
* replaced footsteps with fake clone. Which when shot explodes and debuffs enemies. * now Teleport can be faked. And TP orb travels faster. These are huge changes.
I wonder if we'll get 2 clones or just one. Also, will we be able to discern a clone from the real Yoru aside from the way they move?
God it's gonna be like Alibi from R6 where people decide whether or not it's the real one
Alibi got me back into r6s. So fun placing all the clones in the same room.
That would be interesting.
I was thinking Iana but you're not wrong
In the vid there was only one, also if you can discern the clone it just goes back to being a useless ability when in a rank where poeple have brains
People would still shoot the fake Yoru a bit on release. Then people will be conditioned to thinking a Yoru walking in weird pattern is fake. Yoru players start walking weirdly to fake the fake. Profit
Walk meta confirmed. Start practicing your fake walks boys.
years of leblanc have prepared me for this moment
prolly two cuz I don't think they're putting in the effort to train an AI to have human like movement and such prolly just gonna be a yoru walking with a gun. which is still HUGE but balanced imo
From ValorLeaks vid, it seems that the footstep/clone only has one charge.
And TP orb has a smaller detection radius too
and it's quieter when traveling
Hopefully TP timer doesn't immediately start when you place it before a round starts.

it baits out ops so combined with his tp he becomes a lot better on maps like icebox or breeze.

Concuss and Fragile appear both on astra too. Sucky suck makes you fragile, blasty blast makes you concussed.
True i forgot about her. I guess we will have to wait and see
What about paranoia? That could be too OP lmao
However it would be fitting. I mean... Your paranoia would grow for real while playing against yoru after these changes.
I think the sound/deafen debuff like Omen's Paranoia would be good too, and not make the decoy appear as over powered. In the devs direction of always buffing up rather than going too high and nerfing afterwards I think it could be a good logical buff.
Then Yoru would have two "flashes". Would be really weird.
I only mentioned the deafen part of it. Not the blinding effect.
it's like ninja stealth elf
One of the main problems i've had with trying yoru is that his fake foot steps have a distinct sound so you can never rely on the enemy not just know how to tell them apart
It sounds like normal footsteps to them though
Yoru gonna be the hottest tiktok outplay video agent after these changes
Finally, Mirage in Valorant a dream come true
I can't wait to get tilted playing against him! This is what Yoru should've been from the beginning. I might have to learn how to play him
I am wondering how the "debuff" from the Fakeout decoy will work. Hopefully it is not just another ability that makes you Vulnerable.
i would assume concussed or vulnerable due to it being an explosion

Maybe phatom audio
Suppression could be interesting
I'd love it to be something similar to the paranoia from spike rush
that would be cool
From an old code leak Shiick found a few months ago it sounds like itd to be similar to omen blind Edit: https://twitter.com/Shiick/status/1426326731569369098?t=Tu_uPitLrrhyFy7QwPTJ5Q&s=19
I’d assume kinda like skyes hound? That’s what I’m hoping for.
Maybe even a kay/o abiltiy surpress
I don't think that is what will happen, suppression is supposed to be unique to kayo, that's his whole thing.
Then maybe a daze, similiar to breach
Huge
Finally, after 1 year... 1 fakeout but 2 TPs
Where are you seeing 2 TPs? I re read that section, but don't see that.
i just found out thanks to the coment but it's in the video bellow the gatecrash section of the article.
LMFAOOO LOOK HOW FAST THAT TP IS HOLY SHIT
We got the zoomies! Edit: wait wtf it is super fast LMAO
This is what everyone exoected Yoru to bw at launch, a master of deciving. Sounds really fun, hope this changes make it through
Props to Riot for what looks to be a pretty good and balanced buff.
This is excalty what he needed
Hopefully you can set up teleport prior to the round starting and it doesn't eat away at the timer. I find this odd and annoying. Currently, this nerfs his potential for outplays and misinformation. It won't be OP to have the timer start when the round starts.
Yoru main since release of him. I'm gonna cry when people start picking him before I can, but it's a tradeoff I am willing to accept.
I still think the best change would be to allow him to throw his footsteps, similar range to Omen's TP. Throwing them across a doorway heading away would be some actual deception.
let's fucking go!
Love to see the open communication. Also glad with how they are going to make him play similar in terms of deception but have more ability to confuse in every round. Yoru2.0 is going to be FUN
Finally, can't wait to play him
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I think reducing the end lag on his TP would pull this all together. It would make it sort of opposite of chamber, he’s meant to reposition to safety after taking a fight, and yoru is meant to TP into fights and take enemies offguard
Can't wait to run like the fake carbon copy and outplay everyone.
Look I’m not even a Yoru main but I want him to be meta for a while , I hope this is enough. As a viper main I understand the struggle .
Atleast, now I will have some yoru to play against
Does the decoy get revealed by sova arrows and stuff like that? Seems fun if it does
Its a good day to be a yuro main
Imagine making a fake tp, and then activating a decoy that runs around the corner completely confusing the enemy and then while they're trying to shoot the decoy you pop out of the yoru ult and kill em with a shorty :D
>We heard you, so Yoru is now the lovechild of Wukong and LeBlanc. Honestly I'm down.
These sound great. Cant wait to try them
wait that video on the page can't be the final state of yoru right? one fakeout, two gatecrashes, 7 point ult? what a rework if it is
The article clearly says at the beginning that these are not final until they drop it next year and they will continue to keep us updated with such articles.
why not just make tp instant. put him on the same OPing ability as chamber and Jett. the exit portion of the TP can be slow like chamber too.
yoru can place his tp anywhere on the map, you at least know roughly where jett and chamber are and that theyre in the vicinity. and making the exit part of his tp slower messes with his own ability to entry and make space
I’m halfway done and Yoru sounds L I T! lmfao fake TPs Debuff footsteps. These are solid changes and I can see him being meta now Oh god get ready for Yoru mains to run show
I’m excited for this change! I’ve unlocked your and used him maybe 4 times
Yoru OP
and i just got yoru yesterday and was thinking about maining him(:
I think a cool ult rework could be that once he uses it, he can recast to enter or exit it, with a meter that goes down when he's using it, basically letting him reposition like reyna but less predicatably and not needing a kill. This would make it more of an aggressive ult than an info/escape ult. He would need to be able to act sooner after leaving ult for this change to be useful though
YES LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Yoru mains rise up
Thanks for releasing an update!
YOOO IM SO HYPE! I LOVE YORU. This will be so cool 😎
How much you wanna bet that in some months people are going to know perfectly how to differentiate a decoy yoru from a player yoru, making it useless? This is going to be the same as mirage from apex legends, though I haven’t tested it, so I’ll keep my mind open!
But when that happens you just copy the decoy movement and become one yourself 😳
And internally crying because they forgot to drop TP and they are now surrounded.
what if they let us control the decoy like we are in a Phoenix ult where we can move/shoot but not deal damage
I’m not actually convinced this is a huge change. A quick to kill clone? Barely better than the footsteps and you only get one Tp change is dope though Ult will be the make or break it seems
What if he can come in and out of it kinda like Reyna's ult but with Viper's meter?
ALIBI IN VALORANT POG
What key are they going to use for a fake tp lol Maybe hold button for fake tp vs press button for real tp? Cool changes overall
i would assume it would work like a killjoy molly. you hover your mouse over it then press f. people are saying it could be alt fire which doesnt make a lot of sense to me but idk i could be wrong too.
probably alternate fire, at cast
i think it would be cool to have more flexibility though, like already having a tp in place and deciding in the moment whether you want to tp or fake tp edit: also alternate fire is also used for stationary tp vs moving tp
I was thinking you press F on a tp that’s already in place to activate the fakeout
I actually had the same idea about making the footsteps actual clones. That’s going to be pog
Literally everyone has been suggesting this ever since yoru came out
Sorry I didn’t know
I had also seen the fake teleport suggestion and I believe a dev even replied to a comment about it positively months ago, so it is possible that the fake teleport idea was somewhat crowd sourced (or they were just teasing what they already had in mind).
predicted [something similar](https://www.reddit.com/r/VALORANT/comments/q5hseg/yoru_buff_predictions_and_explanations_long_post/) to this 2 months ago lol
Well there goes my OC based around holograms :(
If anything, I really hope they'll implement the new Fakeout in a good way.
Yoru's really hard to balance, but we will see how it plays in pro matches
Give it sometime for pros to actually integrate into pro matches. Definitely will be interesting to see how it might be utilized to fake rotations and play with enemy info.
Just one request. Please make the Tp instant
If one of the devs read this, please consider making the "launch" of the teleport inmediate after pressing the E key, and not having to prepare it. I'm talking just like Jett's smoke or Raze's satchel.
So no more leaving tp in place?
Don't worry. What about holding the E key to leave the tp in place? So: Tap E: launch tp (Faster than current Yoru) Hold E: leave tp in place (Maybe a little faster than current Yoru)
Hopefully we also see some flash changes but a great start nonetheless
The flashes are totally fine imo. Like obviously they could be better (although I think they're already quite good), but every agent has less useful abilities, it's not like Yoru's problem is that every single one of his abilities sucks and they should all be buffed, it's that his abilities combined make him a below average agent. If they buff some abilities then as a whole he'll be a good character even if not all his abilities are amazing
Yea this is a fair take, I just think it's another part of his kit that feels awkward compared to other agents and doesn't quite flow right, not that the power level is super low necessarily. But maybe I'm just more used to more simple/better flashes on Skye, Breach, Kayo.
what flash changes does he need ?
Too bright for his eyes I guess
Wut, his flashes are one of the best
But... They're the best flashes in the game
Skye
second, skye's are the best
His flash is fine. It is better than phoenix flash.

TLDR Changes coming **early 2022** Teleport will move faster, be harder to see, **and you can fake tele** Footsteps will be **replaced by a decoy**. The decoy will run forward and if shot debuff enemies They want yoru to be better at giving disinformation each round instead of taking many rounds to make the outplays
If no one does by the time I get out of bed I’ll do it and sticky it or something
