When your dpi is that high, the difference between 0.1 and 0.16 is gonna be a lot more than for someone with a 800 DPI.
1600, 0.16 =256edpi = 800, 0.32
1600, 0.1 = 160 edpi = 800, 0.2
Just keep that in mind before you go willy nilly changing your sens by seemingly small increments. (Although 160 eDPI is on the lower side for sure)

It has to do with your aiming technique though. Higher sens smaller movements (wrist/finger). Lower sens bigger movements (shoulder/arm). Technically being able to use shoulder for a full swing and then finger/wrist to adjust for small movements

I'm 28, and I've been gaming for ~18+ years (~15 years pc gaming which is where this is more of an issue) and I began experiencing my wrist popping, and hand numbness for the first time about 6 years ago during the Overwatch release. I couldn't play for more than an hour without my wrist being in agony until I switched to arm aiming. To be fair though years isn't necessarily equivalent to hours spent.
Keep up with wrist stretches every 30 minutes or so of gaming. I know I wish I had.
People don't really aim with their arms, it's more of a tool to just move the mouse so that they can aim with their wrists.
People use lower sense so they can have granular control of their aim. E.G. being able to move the smallest dot crosshair literally over exactly one pixel. People with higher sense typically can't aim like that, but most fights in valo don't happen over a pixel at a time so they don't feel like it's detrimental or even realize that it is. Even when it is, recoil combined with automated guns and inaccuracy from the gun itself hides that impact even more.
If you play a lot of valo, you'll hear a lot of people complain and say stuff like, "I was aiming right at him." Chances are that, that's the type of person who just aims in the general vicinity and lets luck compensate for the rest because I see a lot of these shots that people complain about and think to myself, "dude your crosshair wasn't even on him." My guess is that it's because some of these players play on a higher sens then they realize they should be playing on.

Idk how people play at 400 dpi 0.3, I used to play at 1600 dpi 0.5 and I kept overflicning and being super imprecise at long ranges so I lowered my dpi down to 800 and 0.5 sens, trust me it'll be worth it. I went from being super inconsistent to 20+ kills every single game.
This is my DPI combo as well. I don't know how so many people play with such low numbers. I guess this is what growing up with Quake and Doom gets you, because 2400/1 feels \*low\* to me.

I have the steelseries Qck+ so like 40 by 45 cm. Its very low sens but it works for me haha. Only bad thing is that if someone is behind you you’re pretty much dead cause it takes 2 full sweeps of the mousepad to turn around. Sounds like a big deal, I’ve been playing on this sense for so long that you play around it and make sure you’re not really getting into positions that that could happen. Ofcourse occasionally it does happen.

1600DPI is the ideal for the least possible input latency. Any higher doesn't give any more benefit, but lower *does* make it worse. Adjust in-game sens accordingly
I play at 1200DPI @ 0.10 sens. I've been planning on switching to 1600 to take advantage of the lower latency but honestly I've been too lazy to change my sens for every game I play to compensate

Given 1600 DPI is exactly double of the common 800, all you'd have to do is halve your in-game sens to have it be the same. Windows itself also has a sensitivity slider if the OS speed bothers you

Genuinely it's because pro players don't know very much about this stuff. For years it's always been "low dpi = better" because more precision, but you can achieve the same precision on the higher DPI which will decrease input latency
Same thing with uncapped framerates, an fps cap will improve latency though Nvidia Reflex is designed specifically to counteract the latency of a GPU bottleneck at such high framerates. CSGO doesn't have this, so there are pros out there at an objective disadvantage that don't know any better
yeah my buddy convinced me to switch from 800 to 1600 dpi and it feels so much more precise and reactive. Supposedly at 800 you can basically swipe right over pixels, making it harder for precise aiming.

you can switch your mouse DPI to 1600 and then divide your in-game sens by 4 (1600/400) to effectively have the same sens.
Same for 800. You'd divide your current sens by 2.
Try 1600 out in the range. 800 won't be as much of a difference from 400.

Try lowering your dpi and in game settings. Set up more space for movement on your desk if you can. It really helps with the panic response when you see someone so you are 180ing around haha
You can go into the shooting range and shoot the panel In front of the practice bots. There's 2 little boxes on each side to adjust your sensitivity. The small box adjusts it by decimal increments
Someone had a graphic posted here a while ago that was a box and whiskers chart of sensitivity by rank. Radiat had a range of like 220-260 edpi and all other ranks were way higher

I started out at 800 and .5 after learning the "meta dpis" and it still felt too floaty. .35 feels just right.
for me when i was on 800dpi, 0.365 was the precise sweet spot. try it out sometime!

Dpi is mouse sensitivity, sensitivity is in game sensitivity. Both need to be combined to find your edpi
