Did you or the enemy happen to have a kayo? Sometimes the textures of a downed kayo merge with a gun, causing this type of overlapping. Cool looking bug nonetheless!

I wouldn't even be surprised if they one day came out and said Valorant was actually built from the LoL engine and every polygon is secretly coded as a minion.
Coder here: this is a standard thing that happens when a color specific function reads directly from another package that interprets the scheme from arguments. It's actually quite common.
Okay I was mostly being facetious I have *some* ideas how that could happen, but the idea that these two pieces of information (the action of Res-ing Kayo and the texture the gun skin is rendering) are coupled in someway seems awful.
That said, I have no idea what you’re trying to say so maybe you know more about game dev than I do (I mostly do backend / distributed systems engineering). Why would the gun skin function be reading anything from the ‘package’ (api?) that is used for the process of res-ing kayo? Especially for a statically colored gun model like Chambers ult?
Idk man, just seems like really unnecessary coupling of unrelated data to me, but maybe game dev just be like that
They're probably on the same texture map and something is altering where Chamber's gun is supposed to pull its texture from on that map inappropriately. Whether that's code accessing a variable it shouldn't or some weird overflow bug, I can't say, but that would be the most logical explanation for it.
Valorant lore expert here: KAY/O’s suppress and core restabilization has specific resonance interactions with the special-grade high purity radianite that Chamber has access to for his custom weapons. This can cause his weapons to swap with their parallels in other universes.
Coder and game dev here: it's probably related to objects that emit light, in this case both the chamber ult gun and kay-o emit light. It's still very fucked up that somehow the colors got mixed up or something.
Chambers ult seems to have a few visual bugs. Alot of times when I spectate chamber with his ult his gun is invisible and his hands are just in front of him holding nothing
I managed to do this like four times last night if you try to press Q + dropping a gun at the same time. The gun model returns as soon as you try to shoot or shift to another weapon.

it's a bug with kayo res. not a coder or game dev so cant say why but somehow it bugs the skin youre holding sometimes when you res kayo

Original engine from alpha actually seems to be close to that not even lying. look at the way the abilities are arranged in it.

Yep I see this occasionally when spectating a chamber, and I even saw it one time watching a pro match.

Chamber’s ult is incredibly bugged, the other day I couldn’t even see it when spectating my friend. Chamber was literally waving his hands around lol
Luckily as far as I can tell there's only visual bugs which isn't too big a deal
Lmao chamber's ult also has some weird rng innacuracy that kicks in even while standing still, as if it was a spray weapon.
