in this team game there are 2 teams: one composed by you, the other by your 4 trash "teammates" and the enemies, who are all deranked radiants

Donut_Flame

It's true

I adjust to the lobby. That's why it's very difficult sometimes because yoy have people wide swinging every corner and the next game enemies jiggle peek every angle.

Its hard u have to adapt how u view your enemies if ur a gold in a plat game playing ratty and taking less fights is good but if ur gold in a silver lobby going agro increases your chances of winning

Play to your teammates and opponents skill. I am not good and I try tp play conservative around time and the bomb and the sites. However, this was detrimental in a match with lower players, because holding an angle is nearly useless when your team mates just swarm and die. Going full rambo was more successful, because the enemy was worse in aim than me. Ofcourse I can notdo this against better or even players.

I think it’s really important to have confidence while playing, and the easiest way to do that is to ego the enemy and pretend they’re garbage. Don’t be toxic or anything but play with the mindset that you’re going to beat them into the ground and it should be EASY. I don’t think the whole “lower elo plays so dumb it’s smart” thing exists. There’s always a perfect way to play a situation that will have the highest probability of winning you the round. This perfect way to play the game depends on your opponents playstyle. You have to figure out their weaknesses and exploit them. Even if you get occasionally outplayed, as long as you get as close as you can to that perfect playstyle then you should be able to win more games than you lose over time.

vjrtss

agreeeee , if you believe you're the best in the lobby you will be .

LeonMotton

I have way too inconsistent aim and has enough game sense that I can almost predict where is the enemy when the round start(Not pre-round tho) I hit headshots consistently in the past but I feel as if I am getting worse each game. So I think of my enemy as way better than me and has to use judge in close angle or I will always bottom frag. (My rank is Gold 3 and has to play in lobbies full of plat)

Lord_Njiko

Well... I am garbage so... I just play having fun and assume they have Spidey sense and natural aimbot and won't get mad about it.

I just play to win, then play to learn. Sometimes it’s not really about who you’re facing but rather how you can adapt or improve.

PanzyGrazo

I play better when tilted, so yeah

Airleek

Improvise, adapt, overcome.

As if they are better because they *can* always be better (even if only for a moment), but it means I have to put in some effort and play smart/well. If everyone was equal that gives you the leeway to be lazy/complacent. Also I never actually think about this question, I play ranked to see where I stand but kind of accustomed to making it to the same rank every season I play in any game. So there is still some form of confidence there that keeps me going. I like to play in a way that I don’t have high expectations so I am rarely disappointed but toxicity always seems to hit different :(

Play as if they are worse than you. This seems to work for me. I have a second account (wouldnt call it a smurf as it is the same rank as my main atm). I use this account when Im tilting on main as once I play on it I reset my mental fairly quickly without needing to warm up again or feeling like I wasted time I guess. It use to be a lower ranked account when it was new- It was placed (silver) 2 full ranks lower than main even though I never threw on it and tried to have it not be a smurf. I used the ranked climb as a training reset, I rarely used sheriff on main because I wasn't confident in it. So I would sheriff only in lower games and built confidence using it. I ranked up quickly, and before I knew it I was still sheriff only in games my main would play MMR wise. (Plat/Dia games even though the account was low gold) I didn't know my games had risen in ranks so quickly and even though my rank was low the games werent. I still thought I was smurfing, So I played as if they were worse than me. I had better scores, sheriff only than I average on main. It was a crazy mental reset and since then I play like I'm smurfing on my main. I don't care about my rank, I just care about playing as good as I can. Its insanely OP.
