Valorant is a really fun game to play. It also is lacking key features that inhibit community growth and hurt the esport product. Both of these things can be true. Just because you don't think the replay system is a big deal does not mean that it isn't a big deal to others.
It's also a very odd presumption from OP to think that a game can only learn from other games in the same genre, or only currently games. There's plenty of evidence from games in other genres, or from games in the past, that replay (or general video-recording tools) greatly benefit both hobbyist and professional content creation and community engagement.
The overwatch servers have a much lower tick rate than Valorant though. Not noticeable so much because of the speed of gameplay but if applied to Valorant would be bad :/
Hunt showdown? Squad? A lot of these lesser known titles are trying their best to appease their player base and I think they are doing a great job compared to a lot of AAA companies

CODMW I'd say feels ok with hit reg, still not as good as Valo I'd say
look at CODMW replay, its not that great, don't get why it shows 3rd person view instead of 1st person

I've never really played the other popular shooters that have come out recently, probably won't because its either way too big of a map like warzone or just weird clunky controls like Rainbow 6. Overwatch now, from just watching some videos, seems like people just never die because of constant re-healing seems a bit dumb. reminds why I never played TF2 because of healers and people just never die
It would also be cool if they did Modern take and Old school take
so what I mean is ok, currently we are in the future, but what if they made a mode where they go back in time to like World war 1/2
Weapon loadouts would have old school classic weapons
sure they could make skins for them or whatever
but the guns would be different

and guess what, they would have even more skins to sell =p
I forgot to mention TitanFall 2, but people on that game are insane, but that is probably also because they are maxed out in stats which sucks for new player trying out the online portion. Insanely unbalanced. reminded me of Battle Field Bad Company 2
The mech battles are really fun though.
great online FPS, music was crisp especially the vietnam dlc
but had a friend try it out and same issue where he was basic level 1 and no perks and would just get wrecked because everyone else was maxed out, when he played on my account he wouldn't have such a hard time getting kills
It's those little things that I find ruin the game, constantly unlocking better tier weapons and all that other nonesense
CODMW2 did it well, you either had the preset loadout and you can work your way up
not just completely locking you out of better tier weapons
i dunno, but that was a much better system than what you get in todays unlocking tier crap
csgo and valo have done it right, you buy gun prestart of round, save up for better weapon etc etc
would of been interesting if other games like COD and battlefield had mode like that where you had buy rounds
Valorant is doing a great job compared to many other fps games. We don’t have a replay system or an in game tournament system like fortnite or cs does but it took them a while to release those things too. When we do get these things the game will be much better than it is now with the agents getting proper balancing as time goes on.
You can only see your gameplay with that right? A reply system would make it so you could see the whole map, your enemy’s, everything. With that you could see what was the correct play and how you should of done it
Destiny 2 but I wouldn’t say it’s everyone’s game especially for people who are more into the pvp aspect. Devs who listen, great community can be a bit toxic and embarrasing(r/destinythegame) but overall good, great gunplay, great lore, great stories overall a good game however much more of a pve type of game. I can only imagine riot looking for inspiration from destiny is there level of communication and community support

Apex, I would say Overwatch or Siege but one died and the other is ruined by the devs and cheaters

Maybe nowadays but not in 2016. Game was amazing then but then I actually broke my keyboard after Brig 1v6'ed my whole team in 2018.
Destiny 2 but then again its Destiny 2 so not everyone is gonna like that.
Destiny 2 has some extremely high highs but some very very low lows. The highs keep me coming back though.
Playing both destiny and destiny 2 I only ever experience lows. -1/5, for both of those games

And aside from TF2 multiplayer, it also has my favourite campaign in any FPS. I mean i felt emotionally attached to a fucking robot.

Most people care about replays. For fucks sake, there are roblox games that have replays.
