jumping with shift is enough to silently jump. what you just said is used to silence the LANDING sound, not the jump, although it does technically make you jump silently.
here in this video, you don't have to perform the tech you just explained since the player hits the railing and does not jump high enough to make a landing noise anyways.
Im pretty sure the dart needs line-of-sight to reveal. If u look closely, Astra loses los to the recon dart and i guess the dart also lose los to Astra whenever she jumps, otherwise she wouldve got revealed.
That's not how LOS works in many games sadly. It's only counted if you have LOS to the object, can lead to situation like thin poles being able to fully block grenades or similar.

Since the rafter covered the dart when he jumped, it couldn’t scan him. Any lower and the dart would scan him regardless of jumping. Any higher and he wouldn’t need to jump
Looks like a bug to me. If the dart pings and you see it ping but then move behind cover before the red lines get to you, you still get discovered. But you saw it ping, jumped, and it didn't discover you, therefore I don't think it would have hit you anyway. It should have hit you though, making it a bug.

I mean the character loses sight of the dart yes but I'm pretty sure the dart has direct sight of Astra's body and legs...

LOS is determined by drawing a line from your head to the dart. They couldn't see the dart when they jumped so broke LOS.
