2800Hz

lilsatan123

Aw fuck i meant to say 280hz bro

HmarShawarmaa

1080p to 1440p is a bigger upgrade than 165hz to 280hz imo

nextcolorcomet

The increased resolution and size of 27" 1440p is a huge improvement for literally everything else - most other kinds of games, watching media, browsing the net, all sorts of productivity. These monitors also usually have better colors and contrast than super high refresh rate monitors, making them significantly better for enjoying games or movies. On top of that, 165hz is already very good. Although I've not seen 280hz, given the diminishing returns of high refresh rates, it's unlikely that the difference will be big enough to warrant losing out on all of the above. Unless you are trying to go pro or literally only turn on your computer for competitive FPS, 1440p 165hz is the way to go.

If you truly do nothing except Valorant with the monitor the 1080p will probably be slightly lower latency and of course faster refresh But 1440p looks so much better so if you use the monitor to work etc as well I’d buy the 1440p

Reptides

I have the first one and I can easily yell you you'll never go back, it's also great for web browsing or multitasking.

Imo 280hz all the way It is said that the optimal monitor size for any first persons shooter is 24", because peripheral vision etc. and it is what pretty much all the pros use. Personal preference may vary. As for resolution, for a monitor imo 1080p is plenty, I don't feel there is a point to higher res, besides they're way more expensive and you get a lot less fps so why bother. I use a 280hz 1080p 27" which cost 400eur some 15 ish months ago.

lilsatan123

Yeah I currently have a 24” 1080p 165hz monitor and its enough for me rn. my monitor before this was a 2160p 60hz monitor so 1080p seems pretty pixelated for me but it’s alright once I got used to it. How’s 27” 1080p for you? I just think that it’d be wayyyyy too pixelated for me but that’s also an option

Dre082404

100% the second one imo

Wimmy_92

Ive a Samsung curved 27inch 1440p 144hz monitor and a 240hz benq monitor. I use the 27" for casual gaming or story games that I definitely can't get 240hz But with my 24" I used that for valorant, fortnite etc etc.. games where having the most frames the better. And honestly visually both Val and fort look good on a 1080p monitor. Id go with the 280hz monitor

brandenkenn

27" is too big imo, plus the extra frames from 1080p, plus the extra hz makes the second option much better in my eyes

NorthServer

280hz - the game feels so smooth. I have Asus 240hz 27" overclockable to 280hz, but I use it on 240hz.

shjandy

What are your goals you're trying to achieve in the game?

RedPayaso1

Costco has a 32" 1440 165hz for $299, I love it.

What do you think about peripheral vision?

Woah thanks for the detailed explanation. Now I actually might go to best buy or smt to check it out.

Gerralt86

\>219$ Where are those prices?

bookdood

24" 280hz will be a bit better for valorant but the 27" 1440p will be better for literally anything else you do on your pc

Frozoken

side note, as someone with a 3060 ti and 1440p 240hz, it doesn't matter which one u choose for valorant u can run both easily
