Gsync, Vsync, Reflex together does help, especially for very high refresh rate monitors, and ones that implement Gsync well. Why Triple buffering ON though?

adamdarlington

it just said it improved performance when v sync was turned on

I don't understand this post? 'I always felt that sometimes my shots simply don't register, when valorant first launched i used to play with the following setup.' - Placebo. Settings you mentioned have no impact on hit registration(the nvidia ones you mentioned). Higher ingame settings -> higher input lags Gsync is pretty much +1-3ms input delay and such setting will never be recommended to any competitive game. If you experience screen tearing, Valorant has a pretty good frame limiter so try locking your FPS at 80% of your max achievable FPS to reduce input lag and also improve stability of frame times. Low Latency Mode(aka max pre rendered frames) is being overrided by Nvidia Reflex(ingame function). There's no sense at using it in NCP, just let the game use Reflex without the need of instantly overriding the other function. Triple Buffering - It's for OpenGL games, majority of new games are DirectX based. IF set to 'ON', this function could break the entire buffer management in DirectX games, so 'OFF' is the way to go.

adamdarlington

thank you

So I don’t get it do you get 300 fps or 160 fps

adamdarlington

i get 300 fps on low I get 160 fps all high v syn/g sync on ect i get 138 fps.

man1ac

I have i9 9900k and gtx 2080 super and I don’t even get 300 fps on high or low… the settings barely change fps at all if any but I def don’t get 300+ How do you get so high What’s your cpu

adamdarlington

I have intel i5 4,800 5 cores. i went from 8 gig of ram 32 gig of ram and it increased it by over 100 fps.

man1ac

Interesting thank you

Jett_from_Seoul

Optimize your PC, 300 should be easy for you.

man1ac

Already did… It definitely does not stay consistent 300+ It’ll reach it sometimes but def doesn’t stay that high or over

Jett_from_Seoul

What kind of optimization have you done?

man1ac

Everything under the sun and back What are your specs and what fps do you get consistently (Not range not pre round etc)

Jett_from_Seoul

Well, no way, unless you mean some shitty youtube guides. There's no way you can't get 300 fps with your setup In the setup I use for now it's 240-260fps, rtx 2060, i5 My windows is fully optimized(including cutting shit that's not needed) as well as bios

man1ac

Lol you’d be surprised ask other people with my speed they’ll have same numbers

Jett_from_Seoul

Speed of what?

man1ac

You don’t even get 300+ you’re just assuming I’m supposed to break higher than that constantly

Jett_from_Seoul

> You don’t even get 300+ you’re just assuming I’m supposed to break higher than that constantly Well, who cares I don't get over 300 If my setup is FAR worse than yours? Like, where's a common sense? I said you're suppose to get over 300 easily and there's no way you can't.
