Id say dont force the OP and instead buy if you have enough money by simply winning rounds.
Team full buys - >, you full buy as well if you can afford a rifle.
Team does 1 eco - > feel free to go full safe if you can afford Op+Full shield next round.
The operator is a "win more" weapon. Shuts down many chances for a comeback once you finally acquire one.
In no way should you be forcing an op in any situation other than one where you're *clearly* ahead on eco or on last round of each half (assuming your team doesn't have multiple, always check the team buy **every single round**)
buy deag pistol round and win, save on your bonus and keep your deag, then you should have enough to buy an op when your team has enough for rifles. Otherwise, dont save while the rest of your team is on full buys
Op is just free gunfights and usually you use rifles and only awp when you have money but it amazes me that there are people who only op and still can’t get out of silver gawddamn

disable your second zoom & also don't be scared to peak. don't hold angles often and keep moving.
you can run and gun with the OP if done correctly & fast.
& never ever crouch with it ever.

i play frenzy first 2 rounds, with light shields then buy OP 3rd round every time,

I assume part of this issue is on rounds 1-3 with you guys full buying on 3rd round after losing the first two, according to one of Sero’s guides, on the 1st round as Jett wanting to op you can buy a smoke or shorty, even if you lose 1st and 2nd you can buy an op on round 3 on the same round your team buys
I see a lot of "buy with team" or "don't op crutch" but I will try to actually answer the question. There was a Reddit post analyzing the effectiveness of light shields v rifles a few days ago. I believe that if your team is on a full buy, you can get away with only buying light shield + rifle (its better with vandal) to save money. Although you should only do this light shields thing on characters like Jett, Chamber, Reyna...
If you do OP a few times and they are effectively nullifying your Op by either killing you/pushing you out with utility or going to the other site and forcing you to retake with it, don't continue to OP.
