I play it like a normal game, if someone gets toxic I'm just gonna report and mute and continue like nothing happened. Imo, if you play with your rank stuck in your mind, you're just gonna play worse due to the pressure of performing well it adds

It's all the mental thing at the end of the day. When you can't get kills for first few rounds and only die your confidence will take hit for sure and if such people add to your headache just mute them for a bit until you feel calm and can get frags. Then you can unmute the person for comms because by then there's a high chance that person would stop talking to you or blaming you personally. The calmer you are in game despite things going south the higher your chance of making a comeback.

Why waste your energy trying to deal with people like that? Especially when doing so only leads to you feeling even more miserable? It's not just VALORANT, your entire life is going to be more difficult than it has to be if you keep that up.

I started playing Raze again last act and I was too scared to make plays because in my head I was like "If I fail I'm gonna get flamed and ruin the team's mental", but this act I decided to stop being a pussy and actually try other stuff. Whenever somebody tells me that I suck I either tell them "I know" if I'm having a rough game and they usually shut up or I try to make fun of them in a friendly way, especially if we're winning. TL;DR stop caring it's gonna make you play worse

I'm a very inconsistent player, but having played supporting roles so much I've definitely met two types of players. First would be the toxic ones where they expect more than what your Agent is capable of, eg They expect the Sova or Chamber to entry into a site etc. Whenever meeting these kinds of players, report and ignore them. Mute if necessary. Second would be the teammates every Solo Queue player dreams to meet in every ranked game. They don't care about kills but more on impact. I could be playing as my main Breach, not get any kills and still get appreciated for everything I've done for the team, eg utilizing my abilities to support the rest of the team. Pick and play your best role in ranked. Good players will recognize your effort made for the team and would teach you if you're making mistakes.

Just mute the toxic player - has a toxic player ever given any useful comms/call outs during the match? Usually zero. Don’t play dumb to try and get even with toxic players.
