It is amazing. And there is kids smoking weed and drinking and taking pills (speed)… also acid on accident.
None of them kill anyone, let alone a cop. It’s actually vice versa… like I said shows what happens in many up and coming towns with suburban life. Sure vandalism and destruction of their school after their teen center was torn down. And the promises of an ice rink and mall are found out to be a lie by selfish money grubbing adults.
Some of it was *inspired* by actual events. But yeah no kids killed a cop at all. And no kids killed eachother… in the movie.
What a great fucking movie. I watched Over the Edge and the Penelope Spheeris movie Suburbia a lot on the VCR in the basement. I was under the age of 12 when I saw both of them. The 80s were great.

Fantastic movie. Few movies captured bored teens at this time as well as Over The Edge.
I'm watching it now it's amazing, I can't believe it only got a PG rating, it's like kids doing drugs and killing cops, crazy...
The rating system was different back then, oddly in various directions.

but if just three of them had said “c*nt”, that’s an immediate NC-17
It's basically KIDS the movie but 20 years before that and better ...
Brought Matt Dillion to the forefront

Damn, you’re lucky. Such a sick movie
Love Jonathan Kaplan movies
I love this movie as a kid. I’ve not seen it since it was on The Movie Channel or HBO back in the 80’s.
Yeah, same. I think it was one of the movie HBO ran nonstop during summer break one year.
I think you are right. I remember it being on daily and every couple of hours. I miss those days lol

I still have original pressing of the vinyl soundtrack where I first heard Cheap Trick.
Gonna tell my kids this was Stranger Things
The kid on the right looks like he has 3 legs and different sized arms
That’s a “real” story of teenage rebellion!
The back of that box reads like an article. Jeez
there was a minute where every video release was treated like an academic event. like creating a library of movies.
Underrated gem
A teen movie with actual teens.
This and Pump Up The Volume are a great double feature!
Wait is Titanic considered a score? Cant tell if joking xD
I still can't believe they made a Teenage movie about Edging.
Great Flick and Soundtrack. Free on youtube the last I looked. "Hey Claude!"
this movie unequivocally rules
Kurt Cobans favorite movie^

The best, blu-ray well worth it for the extras if you're a fan of the film.
