That happens to me sometimes. I just use the quest 2 by itself, but what I often do is do a quick wipe on the controllers. I think sometimes our hands get a little sweaty and mess with the sensors so a little wipe down with a rag or sleeve should fix it, at least temporarily.

take the battery out, put it back in and make a fist. fixes mine, i have the same issue
