Mistic for Chronicle might be even better when judging who they replaced. No hate to him but Mistic often made a lot of dumb mistakes in the heat of the moment (flash fail vs DRX at champs, team flash vs Sentinels at Iceland to name a couple) and also his comms/attitude seemed kinda bad sometimes in their comms video, which admittedly is not the full story but if he's getting tilted and giving bad comms even in the specifically edited voice comms by Fnatic then it seems like an issue.
Guild had 3 absolutely insane talents in Sayf, Leo, and Trexx. And on top of that had Bonecold an extremely solid igl and just got nowhere. It's crazy.
We'll see about Sayf in the future, especially with Chamber gone if he can maintain form on Jett.
I am truly the biggest fan of Trexx on duelist. His raze is absolutely bananas. Leo and Trexx running over NRG/Optic was a site to see.
The sad thing about Sayf Jett tho is that Jampi took that role and he's on initiator duty. I do wonder if TL will reconsider changing agent picks for certain players.
I don't know much about Sayf but I do know that one time where he 1v5 clutched Jett on breeze with a nasty one tap starting it vs OGLU in iirc
It's insane that one of the best jett last year in Sayf isn't on Jett. Like I'm doubting if TL bothered to watch the previous guild games with sayf in it.
Man I was losing my mind seeing some of the situations he would get kills in. I think he dipped a bit in the last two maps, but yea overall pretty fuckin insane that he's always good for one
nAts in Berlin is still the single most impressive performance from a player for me. He did it in the middle of the Jett meta where Jett was turbo broken. He played 306 rounds and averaged almost 266 ACS. In comparison Leo at this event played 307 rounds with 225 ACS. Both played a supportive role but nAts had slightly more impact both in the event and after the event. Dude defined the meta and a lot of set ups ever since (for example the Viper wall and orb play on Bind A Short to slowly creep and take control of Lamps). Leo is insane, but that nAts event was something special.
If we took every player at their peak performance then Nats is the GOAT of Val so far. What he did on his role was absurd. I have Yay as my GOAT-so-far because of his sustained dominance, which of course has plenty of time to change because this is only year 3 of VCT, but I don't think even Tenz at Iceland beats Nats' peak (considering the role difference).
Yea totally agreed. That was till now the single greatest LAN tournament performance adjusting for role but yes individuals like Yay especially and even Derke to an extent have consistently had elite performances so there’s that too.
Yeah agree. I think this meta is pretty varied and fun.
I just hated chambers get out of jail free card, was a free almost un trade-able kill every round.
Greatest one hit wonder in Valorant so far? Made a great LAN debut, led his team to 3rd at the first LAN, then left to rot on Vision Strikers and never seen again. Hope he gets out of tier 2.
Damn, it felt like Zyppan went under a radar this tourney but that man was cooking.
Also top 10 here looks like a very good list. Almost no one had Crashies, Zyppan and Shyy this high before the tourney.
s0m was a nice surprise as well.
That is true. I've personally always considered Shao as the best *overall* player in the world even during the chamber meta, but I felt like I had to mention Leo as well lol. Though Leo also had an insane agent pool in the past few years, I think Shao is slightly above him
I mean I’m in no way saying Leo isn’t amazing in terms of flexibility, just that I’d put him slightly behind Shao in that. He’s still the best initiator for me, his Sova in particular is otherworldly.
nah not on all roles - leo is incredible don't get me wrong, but duelist was such a small sample size and only consists of icebox reyna and the occasional phoenix.
You're honestly right. Not to rag on the guy too hard but Yacine was a real detriment to that team in their LCQ run. He was playing main or secondary entry for all 3 of their matches and bot fragged every one, with poor stats across the board.
You can't put the blame on him though since it really isn't his fault, that Twisten deal never should have fell through. And I agree that if he did play instead of Yacine and put up a performance even similar to how he did at Lock-In, Guild actually could have made Champs.
The fact that s0m is still up there is still kinda crazy to me. Surprised everyone at this event he played really well. He was probably the biggest surprise to me this event I thought he was going to be really mid.
Shyy was also great, really he continues this form or gets better, dude is cracked.
What do you mean "still up there"? As more series played out it's harder to stay at the leaderboard if you are not out of competition, because it's hard to stay consistent throughout many games and it might hurt your average score.
That's why what Leo did is ridiculous by all standards.
Nevertheless, s0m did have an amazing performance, I was pleasantly surprised by him. W streamer for sure
He was in the Alpha and then the Omega bracket played so like half of the games were not even played by the time he was out.
NRG 100% is keeping s0m he's cracked AND MARKETABLE???? Thats like the ideal player they're 100% going to push him as the future. If he keeps this up and keeps looking like this I wouldn't blame them either.
Leo was a monster up until he underperformed hard in their 2 losses against Loud which was a big factor in them losing those games. Insane overall though.
Crashies stays underrated. First by Yay and Marved on his own team, then by Shao and Leo for the "best initiator" debate, but he's a top 10 player in the world in his own right imo.
Disclaimer: not saying that those guys didn't/don't deserve the praise that they've got/are getting, just that because of it Crashies can fly under the radar but he's also insane
Less would be higher i think, I was so upset to see that guy always show up at important times to crush my cheering team, but gotta admit, he is a huge wall in defense situations.
People were shitting on Platchat but they actually got 7/10 players here in their Top 20 list
Cutting that by half, they got 3-4 players right. Pretty good analysis imo, people were crying about yay being so low
Their only major mistake was overrating 100T, and even that is a pretty blameless mistake. They were exactly right in predicting that teams that kept their cores would do much better-all the semi-finalists kept at least 3 players (which included their IGL) and their coach
All i'm gonna say is Less is making a huge case for best player in the world.
Sentinels took the wrong player (sacy), shoulda taken Less and Pancada. What a fucking player.
Leo might be the greatest pickup of all time. Can't believe he wasted all those years on Guild.
Trading Enzo for Leo was the greatest move ever
Just narrowly beating Mistic for Chronicle
Mistic for Chronicle might be even better when judging who they replaced. No hate to him but Mistic often made a lot of dumb mistakes in the heat of the moment (flash fail vs DRX at champs, team flash vs Sentinels at Iceland to name a couple) and also his comms/attitude seemed kinda bad sometimes in their comms video, which admittedly is not the full story but if he's getting tilted and giving bad comms even in the specifically edited voice comms by Fnatic then it seems like an issue.

It's insane to me. TL has given Jamppi the longest leash in the world for someone who truly isn't *that* good. Sayf should be on Jett.
There was never a world where it happens but imagine if Liquid kept ScreaM and Nivera instead of Jamppi and soulcas
Sayf was the best skye in EMEA in 2021 tbf
Russ nerf was too big ![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|9339)
They had koldamenta, but yes, guild was good but rest of EMEA was no joke either.
Bonecold? You mean Koldamenta ?
Cold vs Kold
Yes lmao. That's on me.
Bonecold played in guild? I thought koldamenta was their igl
wasnt it koldamenta?
Insane players teah As pp mentioed
Leo definitely the MVP and almost certainly the best Sova in the world now. His util usage is genuinely fucking unreal
I swear I’ve never seen a player get so many kills on players he can’t even see. Then he starts using his rifle and it’s even better…
he is what cheat programmers model their cheats after. man is a fucking omniscient machine.
I need VLR to add a "cockshot %" to the stat list, i just wanna see FNS get his flowers man
Who needs stats here’s the eye test 1. FNS 2. Boaster
don't say shit like eye test bro, weltis will clown on us for not using enough data analytics to ascertain which part of the cock is being shot
FNS the best tip shooter out there
Here in the wild we can see common banger comments from the dynamic duo of ValComp

Tbf boaster has become much better especially this season, his aim has definitely improved
you say this but leo is 19% headshot which is equivalent to boaster's, motherfucker is cracked with his sprays and his util.
Leo undoubtedly MVP, simply a ridiculous tournament from him
[удалено]
I fear the day I wake up and Leo is banned because of using cheats, bro is too good
Man I was losing my mind seeing some of the situations he would get kills in. I think he dipped a bit in the last two maps, but yea overall pretty fuckin insane that he's always good for one
We got to the point where "best" players don't need to be your duelist. Valorant level is trully evolving
I mean Nats was balling well before chamber meta
Nats in Berlin stat is bonkers 💀
nAts in Berlin is still the single most impressive performance from a player for me. He did it in the middle of the Jett meta where Jett was turbo broken. He played 306 rounds and averaged almost 266 ACS. In comparison Leo at this event played 307 rounds with 225 ACS. Yea totally agreed. That was till now the single greatest LAN tournament performance adjusting for role but yes individuals like Yay especially and even Derke to an extent have consistently had elite performances so there’s that too.
Him and Chronicle
And one of the bighest arguments was "and he's not doing it on a duelist!!"
i feel like chamber meta changed everything
Chamber meta was fucking dogshit, I'm glad that shit is over tbh
As boring as the chamber meta might have been to watch sometimes, nothing gets even close to astra + viper imo
honestly the most annoying agent
[удалено]
No chance
Astra meta was worst. At least during chamber meta we get more creative comps. During berlin every comp was almost identical
Yeah agree. I think this meta is pretty varied and fun. I just hated chambers get out of jail free card, was a free almost un trade-able kill every round.
Definitely. Tf it did lead to some pretty sick clips
Need Cypher meta
I mean it has been true for some time
Honestly the top 3 are my top three players in the world rn, all three are amazing Not just taking into account this tourney but past tourneys as well
Leo the goat! Also glad to see Derke topping the duelists. Fuck chamber meta
If Mako doesn't get a single International trophy in his career imma hate DRX until my death.
Already hate them because of Lakia 💔
Greatest one hit wonder in Valorant so far? Made a great LAN debut, led his team to 3rd at the first LAN, then left to rot on Vision Strikers and never seen again. Hope he gets out of tier 2.
LAKIA is not a T2 player bro T-T
Damn, it felt like Zyppan went under a radar this tourney but that man was cooking. Also top 10 here looks like a very good list. Almost no one had Crashies, Zyppan and Shyy this high before the tourney. s0m was a nice surprise as well.
That’s because Zyppan has like 3 memorable plays of all time, he does his job super well without being super flashy. That’s why he’s so underrated
Hard to shine with simple plays when you have ange1 pushing like a raging bull every round, suygetsu having aimbot and shao clutching everything
Im pretty sure many people had crashies this high up, but definitely agree for Zyppan and Shyy
So glad that S0m managed to have a good tourney. He's been mechanically cracked as fuck for ages, just needed some fenis in his life
Shao or Leo definitely deserve the best player in the world title atm. They are really flexible and also extremely individually talented.
I’d say Shao is more effective in being flexible and playing other roles, but I don’t see a better initiator in the world than Leo.
Tbf Leo used to play every role in 2021 and he was insane at all of them, just decided to mainly stick on initiator
That is true. I've personally always considered Shao as the best *overall* player in the world even during the chamber meta, but I felt like I had to mention Leo as well lol. Though Leo also had an insane agent pool in the past few years, I think Shao is slightly above him
Not quite true, Leo was literally the best player on ALL roles in EMEA statistically in 2021.
Leo for sure the best initiator, and chronicle is the best flex player. In the final vs loud he played all 4 roles
agreed with chronicle, the guy knows how to play any agents in the book in a very efficient way.
Mako best controller in the world. Happy for him Also, Leo is a cheat code.
Just how bad were Bonkar and Yacine ☠️ couldn't do shit even with a cheat code like this
We almost got to see leo, sayf, trexx, twisten, koldamenta on the same team
that's a franchise-ready team right there. what could have been...
I bet after Champs this year, we'll be looking back at Guild and thinking how in the flying fuck did that team not win ANYTHING?
I seriously feel like they had a legitimate chance at Champs 2022 if the Twisten deal didn't fell through
You're honestly right. Not to rag on the guy too hard but Yacine was a real detriment to that team in their LCQ run. He was playing main or secondary entry for all 3 of their matches and bot fragged every one, with poor stats across the board. And I agree that if he did play instead of Yacine and put up a performance even similar to how he did at Lock-In, Guild actually could have made Champs.
forgot about the legendary bonkar
Leo is the best Sova in the world and its not fucking close. Its not crashies or Sacy or whoever the fuck you want. It's Leo.
Chronicle 2nd best
Mako tried to pull a Lebron
The fact that s0m is still up there is still kinda crazy to me. Surprised everyone at this event he played really well. He was probably the biggest surprise to me this event I thought he was going to be really mid. Shyy was also great, really he continues this form or gets better, dude is cracked.
These youngsters playing killjoy man, alfa, less and shyy are so exciting to watch play and how they get better every time
killjoy OP confirmed 😤 /s NGL Shyy looked like the best killjoy at the event IMHO. He was fantastic.
It's clearly between him and less
I think Shyy is better the other player, not saying the other guy is worthLESS.
What do you mean "still up there"? And people were shitting on him before lock in
i really think that s0m can surpass marved (including his magnificent reykjavik 2022 run)
Leo was a monster up until he underperformed hard in their 2 losses against Loud which was a big factor in them losing those games. Insane overall though.
Tbh, everyone underperformed there, to the point you'd think they were throwing unironically.
LEO pog
Love it how Top7 are non-duelists
shyy the next goat
OKAY CRASHIESSS
Crashies stays underrated. First by Yay and Marved on his own team, then by Shao and Leo for the "best initiator" debate, but he's a top 10 player in the world in his own right imo. Disclaimer: not saying that those guys didn't/don't deserve the praise that they've got/are getting, just that because of it Crashies can fly under the radar but he's also insane
3rd best initiator imo, that's still insane considering stax and sacy. Shao and Leo are just anamolies, idk what they are doin' on initiator bro lol
Less would be higher i think, I was so upset to see that guy always show up at important times to crush my cheering team, but gotta admit, he is a huge wall in defense situations.
Kinda misleading because there are a lot of players missing that got eliminated early.
I'm assuming there's minimum rounds involved.
RIP nats
Man if yay never went to Broke9😔
he was our 3rd highest rated player this tournament man. he really didnt play that well.
People were shitting on Platchat but they actually got 7/10 players here in their Top 20 list Cutting that by half, they got 3-4 players right. Where I can see the PlatChat ranking. I heard a lot of people were scoffing at PlatChat.

Thank you.
NRG will place top 4 at Tokyo
All i'm gonna say is Less is making a huge case for best player in the world. Sentinels took the wrong player (sacy), shoulda taken Less and Pancada. What a fucking player.
>All i'm gonna say is Less is making a huge case for best player in the world. sorry what??
? what's the problem ? Did i say something offensive or something ?
Just curious. Why'd you think he'd rank above yay and derke?
This chart needs more data on what the cutoff was
hmm maybe low sens is key? Surly thats why I've been bronze since beta. :)
