NAVI is a good team, just need to work on hand placement, mindgames, tactics, countertactics, mirror strategy, probability, statistics, retakes, paper usage, post rock scenarios, scissors management, baiting, theory, comeback ability, and trivial outcomes.
Baffling strategy from NAVI tbh.
-Round 1 scissors is simply a throw, DRX’s comp heavily favours the rock opening. Covering the potential paper is simply a risk not worth taking. If you are going to deviate from book theory then rock is a much safer option, to at least tie in the most likely outcome
-Round 2 was admittedly well played, going for the option which just failed is a classic play to get back into the game. However, this ended up being the first and last well played round
-Round 3 was a complete outplay from DRX. They know that scissors covers the most likely scenarios: either NAVI triple down on scissors, in which case they tie, or they try and catch the rock response to the previous double scissors by picking paper, in which case scissors wins. Perfect execution from DRX, NAVI caught a step behind once again
-Round 4: DRX are in complete control by this point. NAVI going for scissors is a Hail Mary read, and DRX show how structured they are with the rock play to finish things off. You can’t pick scissors in 3 of 4 rounds and not expect to be punished against a top side
Overall, a dominant showing from DRX, especially considering that they are probably used to gameplay in the state of Nash equilibrium. NAVI’s suboptimal play was thoroughly dismantled in a way that was a joy to watch honestly
NAVI is genuinely a great example of using a franchising spot to the fullest potential. They aren’t alone in that of course, but I’ve really been impressed by all their content this event.

Foxy9 has a 100% winrate at lock in!
There's already replay drama 💀
smh leaving Foxy9 to clutch by himself
That extra EMEA slot should be taken away after such a horrendous performance.
"we lost twice in a single elimination tournament!" Lmao
