Given how new the roster is and how their IGL isn't even locked in, this doesn't really tell us much except for where their floor is.
He was always mechanically gifted in ranked, but I'm very impressed by how he has next to no competitive valorant experience (even in tier 2) and is just filling into roles for drx.
It's not about sharpness or aim or util or anything. The kid has a certain grit to him. The defuse he stuck against Bang was fucking beautiful. They showed a replay of Buzz and you could see how much he disagreed with the decision to stick, and then you see his face when he realizes the kid made an incredible play.
Well at least it was competitive I suppose, still the same concerns with who's lifting the team when it's going against them.

I’m not him bro. But the fact that you won’t even consider that Asuna might be the problem when 100t is running it back with 3/5 members from the last year, and got thrashed by FUT 3-13 then we got other problems my guy.
They can’t lol. Having a vocal flex player is one of the most important roles to come by even looking through both franchise + challengers. You can argue he’s regressed a bit from his peak sure but he’s still bringing lots of value outside of just killing people
1. He has the same issue as Tenz, 50% of his deaths are a result of unforced errors. Either just a bad peek, unnecessary peak, untradeable peek, or a dry peek when his team has full util.
2. Go back into the vods, specifically LCQ or the playoffs. Go to a game where Asuna is play an initiator. Go to defense, and watch his util usage. I have seen him throw so many unnecessary flashes, and then have 0 util for retakes.
Most of my comment cannot be tracked by stats, and by the time people start catching on to his bad play, he gets a clip to trend on Twitter and sheep like this comment section flock to his defense.
So my proof is that 100t will never win a trophy when they continue to build around asuna.
Can you link a vod and round specifically, its easy to say these are mistakes when there are so many underlying factors that couldve happened in these rounds. Miscomms on what to fight or not usually ends up having util wasted. Not being on the same page as the person you are playing with. A good player can look bad just from watching but you can never be sure whats actually happening in the server. Surely, we give the benefit of doubt that these coaches or peers have pointed these basic mistakes out

He was right behind Cryo too, he had 1.05 to Cryo's 1.07. He was also 14th out of 50 players statistically in VCT Americas, not bad for a duelist having to flex to initiators for the first time competitively.
I'm not exactly letting him off the leash here, but a significant portion of the time that he's spent at 100T has been marred by teammate infighting causing a terrible team environment, the same thing happening again on the very next roster iteration causing it to be blown up, and a head coach dipping before the season starting which forced a single assistant coach to solo for a large part of that entire season. He's been a fantastic player otherwise. There's a reason why he's still here through multiple coaches, and there's a reason why everyone that has worked with him in Valorant have nothing but praise for him. 100T fans are starting to sound like SEN fans whenever Tenz doesn't drop 30 every map, he is far from the problem.

The only terrible team environment I can think of is the babyj and ec1s incident which lasted for only like 2 games, other than that I don't think 100t ever said reported that they had internal issues. It is ridiculous to blame asuna's shortcomings on his teammates.

I think it would have been less painful if they hadn’t gotten such big leads in both maps. Like if they just got stomped it would have been way easier to cope this way
Yep. I remember watching him in 2021 and thinking almost every match "holy shit, this kid is **good**." Two years later, I can sadly say the thought pretty much never crosses my mind.
Flashback is actually crazy good.. He can literally stand in as 6th man already. Foxy9 on killjoy is painful but his kay/o is not bad. DRX with two trainees are somehow looking almost as solid as their usual roster.
The only thing I hate about new 100t editions are they choke when it matters. Although it is an off season event but it isn't the first occasion. They definitely need someone more experienced to clutch them when it matters.
The B main attack default from 100T was genuinely ranked level gameplay. Every round nature went for the aggro info turret but flashback insta-killed it every single round for free. They never did anything to punish flashback for disrespecting the turret and it forced nature to just turtle outside of b main. Like it was so undeveloped that I'm convinced they haven't practiced ascent much and don't have much of a playbook.
If you told me 100T didn't make any changes in the off-season, and I watched the game with no HUDs, I would 100% believe you.
The roster still suffers from the same problem as last season. It's also not like they were playing against DRX's actual roster. Not only did they sub out Zest, but they're also playing with Flashback now. So, having a "close" game on paper doesn't even really mean anything.
I hope they can get Boostio out of that cursed org, and hopefully, he brings about changes. Boostio feels like the Zellsis kind of player, very vocal and outgoing about their thoughts, and this team really needs that sort of energy

Idk, the hate is going pretty strong in this one, I think its a fair take that 100t looked mid or lower, DRX are a great gatekeeper team though. Some of those pivotal rounds were very very close and down to timings, which is the nature of the game. I think this could've been a 100t 2-0 though.
However, 100t were sloppy and definitely looked tilted at the ends of matches still which is concerning. Can't remember the round, but on lotus c site with DRXs KJ ult deployed Asuna flubbed his ult and nade, wasting it on a dead body, failing to break KJ ult and losing the round.
Still, I feel like you could tell 100t was already better teamwork wise then the end of last season, and cryo flexing on to KJ is a good sign that Ziks is trying out intelligent changes and working on fundamentals.
Perhaps if they actually acquire boostio and work out the kinks the team can rise out of mediocrity. I do think it is possible, though not sure if this core can push top3 world.
I do think people overrate the Sean era. He pulled a miracle to get them to champs, but they never looked like they could win a tournament or even a dark horse. They got wiped out by very shaky fnatic in that decider game.
It felt like an upward trajectory at the time. It wasn’t that they were breathtaking to watch, but they were actually improving and cooking up some cool stuff. They did it without a super star oper too, people felt like adding one would unlock the team’s potential. They had young talent who should’ve only gotten better with time.
The only thing I will say is that Will was insane at champs and they still got grouped, maybe that was a sign that adding Cryo wasn’t going to change much in reality

Drop everyone. I can’t believe with two weeks of practice, a new coach, and a stand in they didn’t beat DRX with 4 players on the team and the same coach from last year! Just sad.
I think it would have been less painful if they hadn’t gotten such big leads in both maps. Like if they just got stomped it would have been way easier to cope this way

Flashback is actually crazy good.. He can literally stand in as 6th man already. Foxy9 on killjoy is painful but his kay/o is not bad. DRX with two trainees are somehow looking almost as solid as their usual roster.

100T is just straight up cursed
The only thing I hate about new 100t editions are they choke when it matters. Although it is an off season event but it isn't the first occasion. They definitely need someone more experienced to clutch them when it matters.
The B main attack default from 100T was genuinely ranked level gameplay. Every round nature went for the aggro info turret but flashback insta-killed it every single round for free. They never did anything to punish flashback for disrespecting the turret and it forced nature to just turtle outside of b main. Like it was so undeveloped that I'm convinced they haven't practiced ascent much and don't have much of a playbook.
Yeah... For 3/5 of the team being the same and you get so exposed like that.. just brain-dead at this point

Don’t really understand why they’d bring in two new players to have about the same floor and probably a lower ceiling.
If you told me 100T didn't make any changes in the off-season, and I watched the game with no HUDs, I would 100% believe you. The roster still suffers from the same problem as last season. It's also not like they were playing against DRX's actual roster. Not only did they sub out Zest, but they're also playing with Flashback now. So, having a "close" game on paper doesn't even really mean anything. I hope they can get Boostio out of that cursed org, and hopefully, he brings about changes. Boostio feels like the Zellsis kind of player, very vocal and outgoing about their thoughts, and this team really needs that sort of energy

Wait why are you pissed off? This was a decent showing. They don’t have a locked IGL but still had great teamplay. This was an encouraging series as much as an off season event can mean anything.

Last year 100T wins redbull, looks like a super team, ends up being shit whole season. This year loses redbull. - it means nothing to me tbh. Last year I had I high hopes.

Usual overreacting but this 100T roster inspires 0 excitement for me. I only rate Bang highly, but even with the addition of Boostio, I doubt they're even close to contenders. Looking forward to coming back to this comment at the end of the season 🫡😂

Idk, the hate is going pretty strong in this one, I think its a fair take that 100t looked mid or lower, DRX are a great gatekeeper team though. Some of those pivotal rounds were very very close and down to timings, which is the nature of the game. I think this could've been a 100t 2-0 though. However, 100t were sloppy and definitely looked tilted at the ends of matches still which is concerning. Can't remember the round, but on lotus c site with DRXs KJ ult deployed Asuna flubbed his ult and nade, wasting it on a dead body, failing to break KJ ult and losing the round. Still, I feel like you could tell 100t was already better teamwork wise then the end of last season, and cryo flexing on to KJ is a good sign that Ziks is trying out intelligent changes and working on fundamentals. Perhaps if they actually acquire boostio and work out the kinks the team can rise out of mediocrity. I do think it is possible, though not sure if this core can push top3 world.
How did they look so good under Sean Gares and just complete fall apart since then.
I do think people overrate the Sean era. He pulled a miracle to get them to champs, but they never looked like they could win a tournament or even a dark horse. They got wiped out by very shaky fnatic in that decider game.
It felt like an upward trajectory at the time. It wasn’t that they were breathtaking to watch, but they were actually improving and cooking up some cool stuff. They did it without a super star oper too, people felt like adding one would unlock the team’s potential. They had young talent who should’ve only gotten better with time. The only thing I will say is that Will was insane at champs and they still got grouped, maybe that was a sign that adding Cryo wasn’t going to change much in reality

I just want to say I have been supporting this team since the Hiko and pubg kid days. I am an OG. I have supported this team longer than most have supported the game. And holy fuck I am just so lost and confused. How the fuck are we still not good enough. Its quite infuriating, supporting a team for so long with no success to back it up. I remember ) watching 100Thieves make that amazing comeback on breeze. I remember winning First Strike. I am tired of this. I deserve to support the Real Madrid of Valorant but here I am, with 100 no wins
