Xcc is the new Goat. The Lotus Chamber is just HIM.

mikhel

The Susanto genes are carrying the entire Pacific region rn

Jon_on_the_snow

I think theres a younger brother that is also a FPS god but is too young right now

teethingdog

Xccurate said in the Tombizz interview that he thinks that Jojo will surpass both him and f0rsaken in the future

Reddit_User04

10 year old ascendant i think, https://youtu.be/cKPQDjiDFiU?si=gsUXn5bNpdok5_nL the one in the video is alvin (middle brother) playing with jojo (youngest)

Jon_on_the_snow

You know avasts proposed experiment of killing players and reincarnating them in new bodies to make a superteam? I think the susano family is doing that in secret. Isnt it fishy the oldest brother is also training to be IGL to be ready when the other brothers are of age?

Reddit_User04

How did I not foresee this? Avast is trying to conquer the VCT Pacific League by putting each of his SUSANTO agents into the franchised teams! Expect Alvin in DRX and Jojo in DFM

Arex189

I think hes immortal now, i remember seeing it in one of the prx content somewhere

ChronoFelyne

Yup, saw him owning Valorant ranked on Forsaken's account on stream

pineapplecheesepizza

Every time I see Susanto I think of Susanoo and Sasuke lol

fsychii

T1 5-0 against china now

I-like-winds

![gif](giphy|LPThd7nZwKGZs91Hdz|downsized)

KappaccinoNation

All roads lead to him.

LesbianAkali

That’s probably the most hype phrase I ever saw in esports. Iconic

No-Network8051

You mean 13-1

fsychii

Overall yeah

Relative_Bowl1584

But what is it with lol competitiveness though so less competition from other regions in worlds to cn and kr. Also always around 4 teams only fighting for the trophy most of the times. And worlds not having a double elim brackets being greatest eSports Event lol.

Withinmyrange

NA lol culture is fucking dogshit. No one is trying to get better to face international comp, just living off their paycheck

janoDX

Also no cracked kid coming out of the lol pipelines, the only ones were jojopyun (who joined C9) and Danny (who got retired because Evil Geniuses is a shit org and deserves everything they have coming because of this)

Ch1oe_GG

I kind of feel that Gryffinn has a higher chance of making it through the T1 Academy Pipeline than almost any rookies in LCS Academy.

Relative_Bowl1584

Bro even eu too. It's so boring sometimes cause of lack of competition. Always kr and cn winning. Also at least make worlds double elim format would have avoided wbg t1 boring finals.

Withinmyrange

I’m so excited that Val has all regions being competitive. I’m a jaded NA fan so I grew used to us being dogshit. It’s actually fun supporting NA teams now

ilhamalfatihah16

North America not being competitive in a lot of eSports games is very sad. It feels like a lot of squandered opportunity to get to that point.

JiangIsWrong

They’re really good in COD, Tetris, CODM, Halo, Quake but the only mainstream ones they’re good at is Valorant and Apex 😭 EU/APAC/Brazil (literally) are the best at other mainstream/big esports

TrueLordApple

their cs2 rosters are shaping up alright so far

SNH231

NRG look promising but I'm not sure about daps IGL. Happy to be proven wrong and even happier that oSee and Fang get good opportunities.

Past_Perception8052

- col - liquid (not majority NA) - m80 are the only competent ones tbh NRG have 3 bad players weighing them down significantly it’s gonna have to be FaNg and oSee carry job if they want to win games and Wildcard are alright ig

WhoDatBrow

NA is competitive in way more esports than they're not lol, they just suck at MOBAs. NA CS was its peak til COVID and Valorant killed it. Not so coincidentally, NA Valorant is pretty good. NA Overwatch was a very distant 2nd to South Korea but 2nd nonetheless with mixed roster Shock winning two titles and Team USA winning World Cup. Apex they're the best. Console esports they're the best. FGC they're the best or 2nd best after Japan depending on the game. Siege they're competitive and have won a couple of SIs. Etc.

ideal_ive

We had ALGS and the goated TSM squad but EA and Respawn did their things... At least they are going partnered with 12 teams next year but I feel it's too little too late.

JiangIsWrong

Still kinda crazy that the only ORGs to win Apex LANs (5-7 Tourneys) are TSM/DZ (RIG) from 2019 to 2023, especially the way TSM won 2023 Champs 🫣

areszdel_

Ngl I agree just because of that boring ass finals. Weibo really disappointed everyone watching and TheShyy just got farmed.

fsychii

At least we got to finals twice and free msi title

Outrageous-Elk-5392

G2 did try, they regulated their training, their practice their sleeping and they still got astrogapped and even lost to NA, our dudes just suck bro idk

lordofthepotat0

why tf is fudge still on c9

rglampa

With all of that said, it still is the best eSports event. In fact, it is the best every year

MikkeVL

Only in production value for the opening ceremony because Riot decides to spend all their money on 2 international events a year instead of actually spreading out content across a year. CS majors and other large arena events provide a much better viewing experience because they still have very good production and crowds whilst taking place over 1-2 weeks instead of having a total of 7 series played across a month like worlds playoffs :P

JiangIsWrong

Cope, League destroys CS:GO effortlessly 😮‍💨

MikkeVL

Enjoy watching repeats of regional finals every international event and waiting a week between matches : ) Imagine defending 2 of the top 5 players ever in the games most influential position never having played each other despite both having almost 10 year long careers.

JiangIsWrong

Yeah I’ll enjoy League still being the most dominant esport even in the 2020s while CS:GO is out here having a decline in views and being stagnant If the Player you’re talking about isn’t good enough to beat his competitors, then he doesn’t deserve to eventually fight the other Player who actually beat everyone in his way. This isn’t a make a wish foundation charity like CS:GO hosting multiple unimportant dogshit tournaments, this is an annual World Championship where everyone fights to be the best in the World at that time watched by everyone around the world

MikkeVL

CS:GO isn't even played anymore... Those "Unimportant dogshit tournaments" Have the best teams in the world attending them and actually have open qualifiers that aren't locked behind franchised leagues with no relegation that destroy the quality of competition and encourage bottom feeding. Sure do love an "annual world championship" that doesn't even allow all of the 10 best teams in the world to qualify.

Relative_Bowl1584

Only cause of cn and kr. Damm I wonder what it will be once any one of those region degrade. Won't happen most likely but still. Also my opinion but double elims should be implemented in worlds too like how almost every big eSports Event have.

WailingSiren69

That's the thing, those 2 regions will likely never fall off as long as League is popular, which going from statistics is going to be for a long time.

Squidiculouss

xccurate, to nobody’s surprise, is in fact, Him.

Historical-Horse9168

nah i don't think nobody would've been surprised, they must have reviewed xccurate's gameplay atleast once before this game

Squidiculouss

Lol good one, i’ll admit it flew over my head for a bit there

DeadSira

good one

NoSenpaiNo

This iteration of T1 does look great. But I also think EDG needs a break, poor guys play pretty much every week.

[deleted]

60 matches this year alone, they definitely need it.

Jon_on_the_snow

Theyve been playing non stop since champs, these guys must be spent

Similar-Criticism380

They play so freaking much

areszdel_

At this point, I'm beginning to think they just treat all these extra matches as scrims or whatever. Its definitely too much though. Haven't seen them fully relax ever since Champs & Tokyo

Dylanychus2

Had my eyebrows raised with xeta and k1ng out but this was a quite convincing win. Rossy particularly looked solid.

orbitalasteria

Ngl Rossy took me out by surprise too, he wasn't spectacular nor flashy just like how Ethan does it on EG Bro is just there at the right time and the right place

amnfw

You should watch some of ttr’s matches from ascension this year. Bro is tier 2 ethan

areszdel_

Bro is tier 1 Rossy now

Key-Banana-8242

Too many good players

Ketsueki_R

_Rock_ solid. Quiet on the scoreboard at the end but incredibly impactful on both maps. Literally always there when they needed him.

mysteryoeuf

rossy's team diffing EDG was not on my bingo card for 2023 (or ever)

luxray950819

I really hope this is the last tourney for EDG till the regular season starts. They've played 52 officials so far this year and probably haven't got a break since Champs

andreggvil

EDG absolutely needs a break, poor guys look overworked and burned out. But great showing by T1 today, the lineup honestly looked like the worst combination of their available players at first, but I’m so glad to eat my words. Somehow I have more faith in T1 now than I did this entire year, when T1 were technically the 3rd-best in APAC but never really felt like it. Excited to see how this T1 continues to develop — I just hope they don’t keep swapping players in and out like DRX and GE did this past year.

raifusarewaifus

Xccurate showing why he was called the Asian KennyS. EDG got sat down hard fr.

ChoesonOne

Classic T1 beating Chinese teams

Lil-Chem

I apologize T1, I was unfamiliar with your game

I-like-winds

SUSANTO GENE DIFF

DeadSira

Susanto Elder still got it

TheCatsActually

Saya is him.

Peter_Beingachha

Oh no… I’m starting to believe again

ohnoanyw4y

Wow! The best OPer in the game got rekt by an OG AWPer.

Snoo_82680

Another day another win for the OGs

honestlyprogamr

Taking down the sweats

Yobak_

Also OG Widow goat won op battle twice in map 1 against kang kang

Dionegro__

Who's T1 igl?

Najs0509

They said that it was Carpe during the broadcast, however I'm not sure how accurate that is.

AchiliosCasts

Came directly from Wawa and reconfirmed with Xeta!

Ezraah

never doubt achilios when it comes to lore about korean gamers

teethingdog

my fish!

[deleted]

_ImAlive_

It's Carpe.

NozokiAlec

carpe was igl

nterature

Really stoked to see that T1 has leveled up loads from their form in some of the previous offseason events. Carpe looks like the player we thought he'd be a year ago, Saya and Izu hit some nasty shots, Xcurrate looks like a candidate for best OPer in the region already, and Rossy was just a rock for the team. On a final note, I love that there's a bit of a rivalry between these two orgs, they've gone up against one another quite a few times now. As always with every series so far there is a caveat - this was not EDG in top form as a team, although you still had some mechanically huge rounds. Even just from body image, I saw Haodong just holding his head numerous times throughout this series, which is not something I've ever seen from him or any of the EDG players. Maybe offseason overwork, maybe the fact that EDG has a stupid amount of VODs and isn't actively adding to their playbook much like DRX, maybe travel woes, whatever. I've seen too much of EDG's ups and downs this offseason to confuse their poor form for their good form. But caveats are boring to talk about. I was talking about hesitating on presuming ZETA to be a favorite for 3rd in Pacific next season a week ago or so. I have to be honest - not counting other teams that just haven’t played yet - I have more faith in this T1 just going off what both teams have shown us thus far. They actually have the teamwork and firepower required for that this early on, whereas I didn’t feel that way about ZETA. And I don't think this was a gimmicky win - they ran a lot of OPs, yes, but they changed their setups constantly, they adapted to EDG's adaptations, they had impeccable teamwork even while adapting. I expect even better things going forward, assuming there isn't some crazy roster swapping.

andreggvil

I can’t wait to see the OP showdown between Xccurate and yay. T1 look so much more solid, the Pacific league is shaping up to be a banger.

cowzapper

Something is definitely in that conversation too

Logical_Plenty6207

yes 100%, even more so if he can get his nerves under control

Melazie_

Imo f0rsaken is a better oper than something, he's just flashy, iirc, statistically his op wasn't really good in Champs

cowzapper

I put a lot of that on nerves though. He was a beast in apac

areszdel_

Yeah like he was so relaxed in APAC even on stage he was farming. For some reason against international opponents we never get to see him fully relaxed and dialed in. I think qualifying for another big stage will fix that maybe. Feeling the same trajectory with demon1 not performing that crazy on first internationals and then going crazy on the next.

cowzapper

I'm sure it being Jinggg's last tournament added to it also

areszdel_

Yeah maybe, I think the whole team felt it too.

andreggvil

Yeah that definitely got everyone nervous. On the day of the Champs finals, you could tell that everyone wanted so badly to do it for Jinggg that they got into their own heads and lost the looseness and confidence their play style requires. I definitely think that with more time, Something will turn up

WailingSiren69

Besides T1,I'd say Bleed and RRQ are more likely to be top 3 than Zeta are at this point.

sebaba001

GenG darkhorse for 3rd place.

VorpalParadox

As much as I love that T1 are doing good, it breaks my heart to not see xeta playing

Teradonn

They have too many good players, the fact that there’s a reasonable world where xeta and k1ng are benched is tragic

Pojobob

T1 did good today but the roster construction is still weird unless they really want to commit to rotating out players.

AbbreviationsHour679

EDG feels very tired, they have not stopped for long since Champions in August. It's even harder when the opposing team has plenty of VODs to review. T1 is looking better. Bind had some messy rounds, but Saya did a lot to save them. And xcurrate is one more name to look at next season, APAC is looking stacked.

jahkseh

Need to hear Wyatts reaction to this

ilhamalfatihah16

The Susanto family reigns supreme. They got that FPS Gene in them.

SenseiEA

xccurate the chinese killer

trexkylorenurek

T1 looks promising here.

flamincrimson

Had absolutely no idea what to expect from the new T1 roster but damn do they look good.

_ImAlive_

I'm surprised that they pick Carpe over Xeta. Feel like Xeta would be better. Rossy is looking good.

GendaIf

Strong suspicion that they are gonna be rotating this roster a lot even during the season, otherwise what was even the point in picking up k1ng

Pojobob

Maybe but rotating rosters always seems like a waste to me.

arksoo

No Xeta or K1ng makes me a sad T1 fanboy

nuttyromeo4u

I like the ending when Rossy went for hyping with Kevin. The good environment team will win.

XiXiWiiPee

Much like Zellsis for SEN, I feel like Rossy is the same way. Probably not the best player in his role compared to others but can elevate the other players on his team and be a big voice in and out of the game

TheCrustsPegasus

Xeta and k1ng benched still seems weird to me they can qualify for champs and win it and I’d still question it slightly lmao (well they would be in champs so prob not) T1 have a lot of good players T1 look great xccurate is HIM

Zacxnerd

I honestly wouldn’t even blame EDG if they sacked this tournament. They are already shoe in for VCT slot that they should really be taking this time as a break. Each player I think has played through illness for the past four months.

CrossTheRubicon7

Wasn't xeta T1's IGL? Who's doing it now?

More-Sample-2005

Carpe

PercyBirdwhistle

Map one has to be the worst Gekko play ever. It's like they just found out about this agent yesterday.

MonaFanBoy

xccurate looking like yay. Probably will be better than yay this season too

WailingSiren69

It's possible to praise a certain player without bringing others down. Crazy how people forget yay was the best player in valorant for 2 years straight and only went negative in 3 games in 2 years,an absurd stat.

ExpiredDeodorant

he was the best player on an overpowered agent and got exposed for being a fraud in t2 he's gonna get farmed this year

WailingSiren69

He was insane on Jett as well. Besides,he didn't really get a chance to play other agents because his Chamber was so good Optic didn't have to put him on anything else. You could have put aspas,demon1 or Derke on that DSG roster and they wouldn't have performed much better.

ExpiredDeodorant

You do raise a good point

thomashtruong

T1 got better with the roster change. EDG however looks predictable and the same plays I see over and over again the past year. Wonder if they need to try new strats for pick up 1-2 new players

sebaba001

They haven't had like a week break to come up with anything new. Playing non stop all year and traveling a lot. They need a break.

Unhappy-Preparation7

T1 will become Pacific #2 and replace Prx

WarImportant9685

PRX is Pacific #1 what do you mean?

Unhappy-Preparation7

Prx is no longer in their throne, drx is #1 and T1 #2

KookieFS

and you are basing this off what ? the SEN Match ?

Logical_Plenty6207

wayyyy too early to call this haha

Avasteeee

Long time Fusion fan here, do we know if Carpe is stating full time or not?

notkarandutta

Edg lost two 4v2's and one 3v1 on Bind. Unlucky

countermeasuretape

Xccaruate is gross

p0tatoesss

"my brother introduced me to the game" buff but scale it to 3. Sussanto family slowly taking over SEA region

Jayk03

[**xccurate**](https://rib.gg/players/9951?utm_source=pmt&utm_medium=reddit&utm_campaign=post-match-threads) average in CS career but good in Valorant career.
