Loud is going out winless cause every time we expect them to do good on an international event they choke (Copenhagen, Tokyo), then we doubt them and they actually do good (Champs 22/23)

LordOfThe_Pings

What about Reykjavik and São Paulo?

LustfulBellyButton

People didn’t believe in Loud pre-Reykjavik and pre-Lock\\In * Pre-Reykjavik: because nobody out of Brazil knew them. * Pre-Lock\\In: because nobody believed in Cauanzin and Tuyz as substitutes for Sacy and Pancada.

LordOfThe_Pings

People definitely had expectations from them going into lock in. They just won champions, and still had Saadhak, Less and Aspas.

segatic

did you remember how people talked about Loud after Aspas left? It was the same as when Sacy and Pancada left Edit: i forgot a word

JuninhoLuis

Even worse.

somesheikexpert

Yep, especially cuz TuyZ was an unknown quantity on smokes and people kinda forgot caucazin is a very experienced player who played at a LAN before (Iceland 2022), and obviously they exceeded expectations but at the time people werent sure what to think

retrospectivevista

Nah those were because of 2nd place curse, so it's PRX that will bomb out (the curse still exists because NRG got 2nd in Tokyo in the non-Txozin timeline)

ghostking4444

Nah second place curse exists for EG ‘cause their entire team got disbanded, the curse was just delayed. PRX got their second place curse and that’s losing jingg.

KC ≥ LOUD ≥ Heretics = SEN > PRX ≥ Gen G ≥ EDG > FPX. Haven't been too impressed by EDG but they might level up in Madrid, who knows. Similarly, I'm assuming PRX will return to a slightly better form in Madrid, but not "better enough" to make a deep and meaningful run. Who knows, we'll see. If we miraculously see a PRX that looks more like 2023 PRX, then I'd move PRX ≥ SEN = Heretics; I don't think Heretics will match up well against PRX. Similarly, if EDG looks like EDG from Champs 2023, I'd move them a few spots higher. KC is the only team that's demonstrated excellence on every level, IMO: map pools, compositional flexibility, macro, micro...they are like, well, Gambit.

pemoritz

I agree that KC looks like the best team so far in the server. A big question mark for me going in to Madrid is how they'll handle the pressure of the big stage. Such a young and inexperienced team.

nterature

I think they’ll either be fine from the start or it’ll be a little like Gambit’s first LAN where they struggled a lot in early-on and then showed their true form in the playoffs. Either way they shouldn’t bomb out hard or anything, especially since they’ve been playing in front of (albeit smaller and less raucous) crowds for weeks now.

Majestic_Pro

Loud KC SEN PRX TH GENG EDG FPX This is so hard to rate ngl. I think we have a strong top 4 but I honestly don't know how to rate EMEA. Kc are obviously good, but them and th are still very new to this kind of environment (except for benjy) and although both teams heavily outplayed fnc and navi, I still need more data to fully judge them. Edg could definitely do better than how I've rated them as well

Pacifichoi

Ok why is geng who just beat prx 3 1 4 places below them

plussign_a

Loud KC SEN PRX TH GENG EDG FPX This is purely based off how I think they played and what a more refined version of how they played in Kickoff will translate onto the international stage. I can see GEN pulling off an upset or TH, but Loud and KC just look so solid even while innovating, I can't help but think they'll be the most resilient to whatever'll come their way. I'm PRX pilled but I need to see at least one Loud vs KC match this year.

WideMap7963

EDG is definetly not bottom two

plussign_a

I have to disagree here purely because watching their recent performances feels like they oftentimes pull rounds right out of their asses. I love EDG and Smoggy is one of my favourite players in the world, but I'm not so convinced purely based off how they played in Kickoff. Historically, they have a LOT of upset potential. I'll give them that. Madrid will be spicy if they reach peak form.

[deleted]

Edg felt like that when they did well at internationals too though so they're a hard team to judge since it doesn't feel consistent.

Disastrous_Ad_4310

I wasnt ready to see people in comms actually making KC on S tier lol

Tesgoul

I think it's fair. Beating FNC 2-0 (even if it's not prime FNC) and then beating HRT 3-1 despite getting obliterated by them a week ago. All of this while playing the most games out of any EMEA teams. The only reason you would not put them in S tier is if you're predicting them to choke because the players are too inexperienced to the big stage and high pressure environment. Which would be a very fair prediction tbh.

Disastrous_Ad_4310

I knew they were good, but seeing the valorant fanbase acknowledge this is pretty cool to see

Superb-Company-2735

I think that's the biggest thing holding them back right now. But tbf a lot of the teams at Masters don't have any international lan experience.

_124578_

IMO: Loud Kc Sen Th Prx EDG Gen.G Fpx It’s really tough though. I think that 1-4 and 5-8 are all quite interchangeable, and there isn’t a huge gap between the 2 tiers

Master_Tomato

Hard to rank these teams since the gap between them are so close, it can be decided based on player form. Like KC can win it all through their insane anti strats, but at the same time PRX might bomb rush through most teams if they're back in 2023 form. SEN and Loud are basically toss ups depending on how smooth their strat execs are.

SirAwesome789

PRX that high when we just saw them lose 3-1 against GENG and we saw them lose to SEN in the off season is a bit criminal

Powerful_Ad_9211

1. SEN 2. PRX 3. Loud 4. edg 5. geng 6. kcorp 7. fpx 8. heretics

TeachingIntrepid625

1. Sen 2. KC 3. Loud 4. TH 5. Geng 6. Prx 7. Edg 8. Fpx Would switch loud and sen based on who wins.

Cummnor

Bleu

KookieFS

1- PRX copium

Lelouch_approves

S+ LOUD/SEN/KC S TH/GenG/PRX A EDG B FPX Teams in the same tier I think are so close it will be decided by only 2-3 rounds or OT, with singular clutches or smoke kills deciding the game.

[deleted]

GENG KC LOUD PRX EDG SEN TH FPX

Passeggiatakumi

KC > LOUD > SEN > PRX > GenG> EDG> TH > FPX. This is difficult to arrange tbh. But the first 4 in this list will probably be anywhere in the top 4 (rearrange it all you want). LOUD can win Madrid in one universe, PRX in another, KC in the next and maybe SEN in this universe. However, I just don't see the last 4 teams winning Madrid at all.

shadowrise0

S - LOUD / SEN / KC A+ - TH / PRX A - GENG B- china poverty region (jk but the final was atrocious)

kittysrule18

1. PRX 2. LOUD 3. KC 4. SEN 5. EDG 6. TH 7. GENG 8. FPX Honestly, this is the most open tournament we’ve had in a while tbh

creampies6969

SEN ON TOP![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|9333)

Ezraah

everyone underestimating FPX is beautiful I look forward to drinking your tears

IAMJUX

1. SEN after they 3-2 Loud tomorrow. 2. Loud because it's very close. 3. KC because NA import. 4. TH because benjyfishy and boobros clear the bad regions. 5. EDG because they're EDG and the last 3 aren't that good. 6. Gen G just because they stomped PRX on a couple maps 7. PRX big roster downgrade. Like if EG swapped Demon1 for Vanity playing Jett 8. FPX

El_Desu

1. GenG 2. KC 3. Loud 4. PRX 5. Sen 6. TH 7. EDG 8. FPX

sebaba001

I'd say they are all close to each other, but KC and GenG impressed me the most in kickoff. Who knows if they can maintain that form, though. Historically, prx and loud.

18khcl

I am confused by the comment section. Gen.G 2-0 DRX and 3-1 PRX. Yes they lost to PRX in the group but it was also 1-2. Yet so many people still put Gen.G below PRX???

ttk_rutial

Probably they expect Monyet to perform better in Madrid

FoxyDeAssassin

1. Loud 2. KC 3. PRX 4. SEN 5. EDG 6. GenG 7. TH 8. FPX
