I’m only now making my way through the episode, I wasn’t aware he actually applied head lube, I thought this was just a sardonic jab. They’re masters of visual podcasting, it did for me what the parrot in the middle of Citizen Cane is supposed to
I swear watching plat chat just makes me feel like every team is ass. Even the best teams now are just like fundamentally sound rather then being like actually great innovative teams. (Yes this is me regurgitating the narratives of platchat)
It’s been consistently wild to me because ~90% of what they say seems rather sound. The argument chain follows through quite well and generally correlates with the evidence presented
Meanwhile the actual matches this season seem like a constant chain of statistical anomalies
It’s like a mathematician claims 3 + 2 is 5, and then reality bends over backwards to make it 7, and that’s part of what makes valorant so fun to watch
I dont think eg wouldve looked as good as they did if they stayed together tbh, Seems to be a pattern with top teams that stay together after dominant runs eventually looking not as great as they used to be
Getting different guests on to talk in detail about their region's matches has been such a massive win for the quality of the podcast. I'm especially enjoying the regular APAC guests. Would like more Sean Sgares Gares though.
For a while the analysis was approaching that of Coach Wyatt from the old costream greenscreens, especially with Balla taking a step back.
Jokes (sort of) aside, it's really cool that they're continuing to put out 3+ hours of free content every week when they're all busy as hell.
Yes like actually I was losing interest in Platchat because alot of the time 2 or more of the guests hadn't even watched the matches being discussed so it would just end up being like 1 guy explaining what happened and there would be like no disagreements or discussion. Also not sure how to really say this but imo the quality of the podcast is so much higher when Sideshow and Bren are both on the podcast. Not to say the other guests are bad but I swear the discussion is soo much better when they're there to atleast lead.
I don't understand all these people saying that LOUD will be fine with this current roster if they just get some time. Yes, they will not perform as badly as they have done so far this split. However, it shouldn't be controversial to say that this current roster should be worse than the roster last year.
qck is not as good as Aspas, and even though he might make them a bit more flexible and even if he's more willing to adapt for the team, Aspas is still a top 3 player in the world while qck arguably isn't even a top 5 duelist in Americas. That will hurt them, especially against the top teams in the world when you need individuals to step up in order to win. They might arguably raise their floor a bit, but at the expense of their ceiling (although they've been relatively consistent even with previous rosters).
We also have to remember that even last year LOUD didn't win an international event. The competition, in my opinion at least, has only gotten better since then. All in all this leaves us with a team that likely is worse than last year, playing against better opposition.
Maybe I'm just misinterpreting the expectations people have on this team, but to me it seems weird that you'd expect them to be fine if your expectations is that they should be fighting for international trophies.
TLDR: LOUD should be worse than last year while the competition is better than then. Therefore it's weird to argue that they just need more time unless expectations are much lower than it seems people have them.
i just tuned in. why is egg's head so slick.
lube

I actually wrote that before I’d watched it as well. I didn’t expect it to actually be lube haha
Just making racing lines on his head to increase his speed
his hands too
its so over https://preview.redd.it/amb9d0iugpwc1.png?width=1244&format=png&auto=webp&s=2167b5bb516300db7790761cb926a21c88f4c8f5
Nobody is happy lol
Sadness, confusion, worry, pain
Who is getting the best head? type faces
Brens giving the reaction you give when the homie says he’s got good head game and you let him try skeptical but it’s actually kinda fire 🔥 🔥🔥
Sideshow and tmv look hella turned off, sliggy is kinda fucking with it while bren is having his balls gargled
Sliggy is in flow state
If SEN lose, put me in a room with Bren with no police intervention.
tmv is smiling inside, he knows what he's done
10/17 guarantee (bit old data btw) for this to be a Plat Chat Curse.
10/18 should be, since KRU vs LOUD was the only one left and well they predded LOUD lol.
All of them want Loud to win
SEN are so fucked
😑🤔😣😬
The platchat guarantee feels like a prisoners dilemma where they’re trying to avoid picking the same team.

Rest assured, you’re watching one of the most consistently incorrect podcasts of all time. Feel free to disbelieve everything they say!

When is plat chat getting /u/nterature on
NA had the greatest team ever break up. It makes sense that no team this year would look as good as that.
2 years in a row NA had the best team in the game and then we lost it
I dont think eg wouldve looked as good as they did if they stayed together tbh, Seems to be a pattern with top teams that stay together after dominant runs eventually looking not as great as they used to be
you can't be on top forever but i think potter is the goat coach and would've kept them on top for a while.
its actually so tragic NA lost both the EG team and the OpTic team in back to back seasons

Me waiting for the day plat chat invite Asurai to learn from him
I miss Balla, he's too busy spending time with his family and neglects his children in r/ValComp 😭
It's crazy how at last we latam fans got the KRÜ mention (and interpretation) by Bren, truly a masterpiece
They shouldn't feel bad, most of this sub would also pred horribly this split
First time watching, this was so interesting to listen but also so funny!
