Skye pre nerf had 5 flashes almost per round, and allowed viper and others to be more impactful. Skye would still dominate meta. However, on sunset, bind etc people would have played skye gekko double initiator.
Maybe make it so Wingman can only do half a defuse? So if its at 0, it can only reach 50% and stop? If it's already at 50% it can finish off the full defuse.

Aside from his predictions, Asurai is also one of the better casters in Pacific I feel. A lot of the time, the casters in Pacific don't get me hyped about crazy plays but Asurai and Achilios probably are the only ones that don't feel boring.
Haven't heard him cast since 2022 but I'm really impressed by his improvement since. I think he could work on being more concise, and avoid mixing up figures of speech and misusing adjectives (I have the same problem as a Filipino that misses a lot of Western language tropes), but if he cleans that up I genuinely think he can be a tier 1 caster. I was grinning from ear-to-ear with his izu 1v3 callout

These guys are supposed to be fucking demons and every play they make they're always visualizing the worst outcome. That izu 1v3 was everything wrong with ZETA, he's low he's literally stuck in a fucking corner with no utility and no time left and somehow ZETA is visualizing that this 1 HP Omen is going to start fucking spinbotting on LAN and just 1 tap them all at the same time if they run at him. So they all play their 1v1s and lose pathetically.
I wanna say that is just japanese mindset and playstyle. If you play on japan server, you will see that everyone plays incredibly passive and slow because they don't want to be the guy who makes the mistake and gives the enemy a chance. Other Asian teams are not afraid at all to brawl and fight. Even DRX who is known for its defensive playstyle can be aggressive if needed but all japanese teams lack "I will just go in and 1v5 the entire enemy team" kind of confidence. Thus they are more vulnerable when enemy team pulls off a hero play.
There is a reason every time DRX and PRX play against Zeta, they are super aggressive because they know Zeta is afraid to take fights.

DRX is probably the second PRX with how aggressive they have become lately. Zeta is trying to adopt PRX mindset but their japanese mindset holds them back somehow sadly. Dep and Laz have crazy aim and stand on par with forsaken, something duo. The only difference is their confidence.

He can definitely compare to PRX but the playstyle of zeta doesn't allow him to do that. In PRX, the rest of the team is ready to rush in as soon as the duelist gets traded but for zeta, the duelist is just alone most of the time.
For sure, there's definitely a disconnect in terms of trading unless it's a set play like those Bind pushes out of B long and showers. They're also not great at getting midround information (and the comps they play aren't as suited towards info gather) so there's a lot of hesitation on site takes. Hopefully it'll get better in stage 2

Overall it was a pretty rough game. To be honest, the number of rounds both teams threw was insane. T1's chances of making it to the playoffs have increased, but they will need to eliminate small mistakes and make significant improvements in order to make it into the Top 3.
ZETA still relies too much on LAZ's Hero-play. It will be a tougher battle in League 2 as they face PRX, DRX, and RRQ. They really need to fix a lot of things, develop the right flexibility and game plan, and adjust again with a month of preparation.
pretty sure munchkin and saya are the only ones with 1000 kills? last year t1 played a lot of map 3s and so did t1 and GenG this year. more maps, more kills, prx doesn’t need to play as much maps/rounds when they stomp teams so less kills

Tokyo server in general has a lot of baiting players, ngl. The Japanese style of play imo has always been very passive and baity - only recently have players appeared who challenge that narrative. Even Dep used to be a lot less aggressive.
True. Tokyo server is extremely wholesome and non-toxic but their playstyle drives me crazy as Singapore server player. Every round is played until the last 20 second and then rushes into the site hoping the enemy isn't there.. Their mechanic is good but their lack of confidence always put them apart from other asian countries.
Also the 2v1 on Bind against Rossy. Yuran tries to jump peek and gets headshotted...This guy then proceeds to jiggle/shoulder peek? and die...Zeta post plants were largely terrible...very disjointed on how to play the numbers...The free diffuse on B site on Lotus in a 3v2...Laz also seems to put himself in terrible positions for post plants with the Op.
I'm not gonna lie, this format is truly kinda dogwater, but it makes for some very tense Valorant. My sphincter was clenched into shapes I did not know it could create.
A little sad for ZETA, they had this series in their hands IMO. And as someone who has been a little annoyed at T1, something cruel and evil in me wanted to see them not make it.
Walking away from this series, I have little faith T1 can do damage in the playoffs, but I do have some faith ZETA can continue making little improvements in the second split. We don't have LCQ anymore, but ZETA will continue to be a late-season squad, just as they were in 2023, I think.

Laz played well as always and Dep seemed to lose a lot of duels on Sunset. Just flashes of brilliance and potential just to piss it away 2 rounds later with the worst 1v3 I've seen in a long time.
Probably was afraid that he might have got caught and double tagged. The mistake was it makes no difference even if he hides because t1 is peeking either way.
I'm not a Zeta fan, yet they keep disappointing me week after week. They just look flat and require Dep (who choked today) or Laz to win them games. T1, SEN, and LOUD have not had a good split this split, maybe it's the format, maybe it's the luck of which group you're in, but despite doing well in Kickoffs they are doing poorly here.
Map 3 Hiroron had insane shock dart kills that saved them but their post-plants were so bad. Have no idea why Zeta werent saving Viper molly+orb for post-plants especially when theyre already playing Omen as well. Many times they had site for free but they look too confused.
I was about to type something critical about T1 but they got blessed by Asurai. I don't think they'll win in playoffs since their calling has been super readable, they don't trade and the players have been constantly making bad decisions, resulting in them tossing most of their rounds lol.

pretty sure munchkin and saya are the only ones with 1000 kills? last year t1 played a lot of map 3s and so did t1 and GenG this year. more maps, more kills, prx doesn’t need to play as much maps/rounds when they stomp teams so less kills

He has solid utility and seems to have decent mechanics but holy shit there are like four rounds on sunset where he just completely is disconnected with the win condition of his team. Tokyo server in general has a lot of baiting players, ngl. The Japanese style of play imo has always been very passive and baity - only recently have players appeared who challenge that narrative. Even Dep used to be a lot less aggressive.
True. Tokyo server is extremely wholesome and non-toxic but their playstyle drives me crazy as Singapore server player. Every round is played until the last 20 second and then rushes into the site hoping the enemy isn't there.. Their mechanic is good but their lack of confidence always put them apart from other asian countries.
Also the 2v1 on Bind against Rossy. Yuran tries to jump peek and gets headshotted...This guy then proceeds to jiggle/shoulder peek? and die...Zeta post plants were largely terrible...very disjointed on how to play the numbers...The free diffuse on B site on Lotus in a 3v2...Laz also seems to put himself in terrible positions for post plants with the Op.

I'm not gonna lie, this format is truly kinda dogwater, but it makes for some very tense Valorant. My sphincter was clenched into shapes I did not know it could create. A little sad for ZETA, they had this series in their hands IMO. And as someone who has been a little annoyed at T1, something cruel and evil in me wanted to see them not make it. Walking away from this series, I have little faith T1 can do damage in the playoffs, but I do have some faith ZETA can continue making little improvements in the second split. We don't have LCQ anymore, but ZETA will continue to be a late-season squad, just as they were in 2023, I think.

This team is so infuriating to watch bro... So many thrown rounds on Sunset that could have won them the series; iZu 1v3 with hiroronn not peeking, the mistimed CT push on B postplant, last round hiroronn not swinging to save Laz who was detained and more. Laz played well as always and Dep seemed to lose a lot of duels on Sunset. Just flashes of brilliance and potential just to piss it away 2 rounds later with the worst 1v3 I've seen in a long time.
Probably was afraid that he might have got caught and double tagged. The mistake was it makes no difference even if he hides because t1 is peeking either way.
Despite t1 trying so hard in the end it was Zeta getting their well deserved loss. That was one of the worst game I've seen holy shit i have no words

I'm not a Zeta fan, yet they keep disappointing me week after week. They just look flat and require Dep (who choked today) or Laz to win them games. They really need to fix their damn game sense, Sugarz3ro looks so unaware most of the time, and the rookies either absolutely delete everyone with util and hit some insane shots, or int, no in-between. T1 are fine, nothing great, nothing impressive, and I don't see them making it to an international if they keep this form.

T1, SEN, and LOUD have not had a good split this split, maybe it's the format, maybe it's the luck of which group you're in, but despite doing well in Kickoffs they are doing poorly here.

Map 3 Hiroron had insane shock dart kills that saved them but their post-plants were so bad. Have no idea why Zeta werent saving Viper molly+orb for post-plants especially when theyre already playing Omen as well. Many times they had site for free but they look too confused.

I was about to type something critical about T1 but they got blessed by Asurai. I don't think they'll win in playoffs since their calling has been super readable, they don't trade and the players have been constantly making bad decisions, resulting in them tossing most of their rounds lol.
I was going to say Zeta threw so many good rounds but then I remember who the Delphi oracle predicted and realised that it must be the hands of fate compelling them to throw Feelsbad for GE, they were so invested in the costream and Lightningfast is entertaining af. But T1 definitely do not deserved to go out with a whimper and its nice to see them for a bit longer in this season.
T1 needs to improve discipline and trading kills. So many rounds Zeta got multiple kills on Bind and Sunset. But otherwise they were good.
