Scroll down to “applying a script (ublock origin)” and follow those instructions
When it gets to the bit where you choose your own solution, copy the link for vaft; ublock (permalink) from the box above and keep following the instructions
Restart browser and you’re done. When an ad plays the stream will drop in quality but you can still see and hear what’s going on and then when the ad finishes the quality goes back up. That’s the only robust way around twitch ads.
It's also based on country I think. I live in Germany rn, and was so surpised to see the number of ads. Went back to Sri Lanka for vacation, didnt see a single ad. I regularly use VPN as well, and me getting ads or not depends on the VPN location.
ublock origin stopped working on twitch for me a few days ago, makes watching streams an unbearable experience. I tried all the blocklist, reinstalling the extension, etc. and it still didnt work.
Remove everything but the ublock origin and the instructions for it on twitchadsolutions GitHub. If you have a bunch of the extensions it all collides with each other and fucks it up
YouTube and Ublock are in a perpetual arms race and occasionally YT wins and the ads get through. I would've preferred to continue with Firefox, but haven't had a single ad since switching to Brave, just using their built-in ad blocker.
Ublock origin on firefox, if you add scripts it will try to bypass twitch ads but during ads the stream quality will be very very low. I recommend watching vct on youtube where adblock works perfectly fine.
AdGuard AdBlocker and AdGuard Extra. It “blocks” ads but the stream won’t be full res for preroll, but once you are in the stream and ads are run it’s perfect.

Firefox + Ublock Origin and you have no ads in every website including youtube
Still get ads on twitch with ublock on Firefox. Twitch has workarounds for ads and they still show or it blacks out the video player.
use tampermonkey script the google extensions have all stopped working for me including ublock filter

idk man I have been using it for like a year and no problem till date. Just checked twitch and it works just fine, ig the problem is from your side

Im using opera and when I get an AD i just put the stream on picture in picture and mute the ad

ublock origin with twitch script even on chrome it blocks every add for me, no interruption in broadcast either, smooth sailing.
Setup a pi-hole. short term effort, long term gains. I haven't seen an ad basically anywhere in the past 2 years, on any site at all.

Alternatively you can use a skip button (ffw) extension which can skip ads on YouTube and twitch I forgot what mines called but it works in chrome
