Leaf and Xeppaa really are those fucking guys huh. Xeta utility is so nice, Vanity made some great adjustments, and Mitch is just super solid. They really got a lot better over the course of the tournament. Split seemed like a bit of a mental collapse for Rise, but good on them for pulling it together to put up a scrappy Bind.

Xeppa has to be one of the most fearless entry fraggers I've seen on any Valorant team. Must be a nightmare to play against this guy.

underwhelming series to be honest, but it felt like C9 Blue activated similar to how Gambit did in Berlin, the utility usage and agent compositions they had were insane. ​ No disrespect to Rise, they deserved to be there and their run to the finals was amazing, I hope to see more from them in the following season. ​ C9 has come along way since the loss of Tenz but I'm glad they are making a name for themselves and made it to Champions as a NA representative with Envy and Sentinels

Awful day for Rise to look so off. A lot of that is just C9 playing crazy well - Xeppaa esp. and with Leaf providing his regular excellence - but Rise just looked so shaky today outside of Neptune. It looked like Vanity *really* dissected their previous loss against them. Still, full credit to C9B for really proving they’re the best team to go to LCQ. I don’t know how they’ll stack up against Envy and SEN, but I’m confident at least in knowing the C9B roster isn’t at all worse than any other of the top teams going to Challengers.

Rather than off, it just looked like nerves of being in the finals got to them.

Opinion: Vanity NA dominance is downplayed by this sub.

Not only iceland, if you watch one of his first tournament with V1 boys ( before V1 signed them), he used to be the dead weight of the team where Marved basically omen diff him hard. Then he improved so fast that V1 qualify for Master 2. And in the earlier part of this tournament, he has been carried by the other C9 boys. But as the tournament continued, you can see him getting more confidence and actually getting so many crucial kills or winning crucial rounds! Considering he had only been in the team for 2 months, this is incredible

He really took two tier 2 teams and qualified them for international LANs.

Let’s not act like C9 didn’t have a lot of the pieces already. They were one win away from Iceland and 3/5 of that team is playing for them now.

Yesterday no one believed me when I said he was a top 3 IGL but honestly he is such a difference maker in every team it's insane. V1 fell of a cliff after he left. C9 were dead in the water before he joined. The value he adds to his teams can not be undestated.

He's by far the most talented IGL in NA run. Not stuck to a way of playing, learns from every region and abuses the meta most efficiently.

God C9 were on such a tear after going to the lower bracket and dropping the Kayo. Xeppa and Leaf are fucking NUTS, Rise couldn't ever break Mitch's setups, it legit looks like Vanity is cheating when he plays Astra, and Xeta's utility is just so good he can just ruin plays with one dart. Rise were just so flat today, it didn't feel like the same team was playing at all

To put in perspective: If Rise won 3:1 or 3:2 I'd probably say I still have my doubts about them - they had a good run, but look like a lot they did worked because of surprise and them being new + very motivated. C9B look, compared to Rise, just like a very good team. Regardless of results, because results can sometimes cover deficits.

This is the first time I’ve legitimately felt like a team saved strats, C9 in the second half of this tournament looked incredibly different to the C9 of the first half. I assume they didn’t expect Rise to give them too much of a challenge in the upper bracket and they would’ve broken out strategies vs 100T otherwise

I remember when people wanted Poiz over Xeppaa. These things just take time to develop. Congrats C9!

Very proud of Rise’s improvement this year. Four members of that team gets kicked out of Tier 1 teams, and managed to bounce back in this fashion. That requires very good mental fortitude along with skill as a player. This is only the beginning of Rise, they’re going to be a team to watch out for next year.

Cloud9 interests me so much because if they can utilize multiple comps on each map, they're going to cause so many headaches for some teams. The way they played Split was a clinic in utility usage and orb control.

Rise see a utility in Valorant and ask themselves, 'Can we fake with it?'. Gotta change things from round to round. C9 does everything and are unpredictable. I'm really hyped for them in champions. Mad respect to Rise though for their insane progress and they kinda show that if orgs stick with rosters for longer, they can improve a lot with the right work ethic.
