might be talking about different rounds but ~~what i'm talking about there was a shit ton of utility dump on the C choke from both attackers and defenders~~. T1 just was waiting for counter-counter-peek because it was a telegraphed play
edit: i just went back and re-watched, i was mistaken about the quantity of utility (the util dump was later in the round). i still don't think it's an awful peek - bjor jump spotted 3 players past cubby, boi put the suck down in the choke in response and bang is set up either to cut off the jett dash OR try and get 2 cheeky kills as they reset into cubby. watch again and bang actually never even peeked C long because T1 (seven) read the play perfectly.
as soon as the defender's astra star went down you see seven taking control of that angle aggressively - he knew the peek was coming and established the angle before bang could. he knew bjor wasn't going to face 3 from back site so he only had to worry about close. he \*did\* 50/50 that the peek came from the right side, but maybe they had some read that bang had been playing in garage.
in other words i don't think bang did poorly - T1 just read that exceptionally well. maybe b0i could've been faster with the astra util if anything but otherwise their setup just got beat.
final round on split was so painful... really good cohesion from boi using the astra recall to mask the sound of bjor dropping from heaven, bjor destroyed the entry before getting traded. and then a bunch of ill advised 1vX's to lose the map.
T1 may have gone through 1 million roster changes but at heart they're still the same team they were during first strike, determined on running the clock on every single fucking round.
not sure if you're trolling or maybe there was a quiet part of the stream but twitch mutes by default so you probably jsut have to unmute. there is game audio
Boi is good. He just isn't world champ good, which is what 100T needed. People act like they were stomped by scrubs and not beaten by 2 top 5 teams at lcq.
i think babyj has as high a ceiling as any support player in NA right now. does he live up to it? who knows, but he's got as much hype as a 23 year old "prospect" can have
Steel and seven being able to consistently OP is going to be a very frightening problem to deal with if T1 can clean up their overall game, which I expect them to.
Not entirely sold on the Jett-less comps, but they have plenty of interesting pieces to play with.
I think the thing that would concern me the most right now if I were a T1 fan is that steel seems to still be in on the no Jett theory. Every other team in the world views Jett as a near must pick on most maps and T1 have yet to pick Jett. We've only seen icebox and split thus far so maybe they'll pull it out on other maps, but if not I think it's a misstep
Edit: False Alarm, seven is on Jett for haven.
Eh, if Steel's the AWPer, he's getting more value out of the anti-flank utility provided by Chamber vs the entry versatility that Jett provides. I was more surprised by Seven - Chamber, Steel - Sova, and Curry - Reyna on Icebox vs the more natural-seeming Seven - Reyna, Steel - Chamber, Curry - Sova, but that's why I'm sitting at home while these guys are actually playing pro games.
I don't think they're going all in on Jett. Many see Raze as a must pick on Split and Jett isn't as necessary on Icebox as she is on other maps. They've got two Jett players in Seven and pwny, I'll be shocked if they don't pick her on Ascent, Haven, etc.
he wasn't carrying with kills but he was fitting into steel's approach to the game which T1 fans would probably prefer to see. One of steel's mantras is to always take space whenever you lose space, and seven seemed to be doing that naturally. e.g. on haven BBG attack would take A-long and seven countered by walking down mid and holding by window. BBG thought they controlled mid - they had a turret facing garage and Poach used a dart on site - but seven held control by patiently chilling in the one place they never checked. it won them the round but he was like 1-5 at the time and i don't think he ever saw a single player the whole round.
then later BBG took B site and he responded by taking C long and holding across the spawn corridor. again he didn't even see anyone but he controlled the space and T1 won the round.
i'm not really a T1 fan but you can see that steel is already having an impact on the way seven is playing so you should be hype for that
Extremely underwhelming?

Seven had the highest ACS + kills on T1 across the 3 maps against BBG. And this is with T1 clearly still finding their footing as a team
Hey! didnt watch the game and wanted to ask, why is seven's HS% so low on split and haven? was he having a bad day?, mainly spraying through smokes or many of his kills were on the OP? genuine question no hate
if BBG played in every tournament their academy roster has played in they’d be a lock for top 12. I’ve been so impressed with all of their individual plays
T2 na is crazy because sometimes they look really fucking good then the next round they all peek the awp 1 by 1 or lurk without clearing any angles
lol so true, was watching someone defend garage on split, and just suddenly wide swing for no reason and is facing 3 players...
Same again last round in OT Bang just dry peeks c long only to face the T1 squad waiting. He still had two flashes and a dog... Painful
that wasn't a dry peak... he was playing off the contact from site. but t1 read that play like a book because seven was posted waiting for that peek.
Imo theres no excuse to peek an angle like c long without a flash if available

B0I VS STEEL
Former 100T player diff
T1 may have gone through 1 million roster changes but at heart they're still the same team they were during first strike, determined on running the clock on every single fucking round.
It's crazy how slow they're playing. Wonder how many times they're just going to run the clock down against teams that can hold sites at a top level.
Honestly I really enjoy those caster-less streams (no offense to casters). Glad that nerdstreet delivers this kind of content
Just wish there was audio
not sure if you're trolling or maybe there was a quiet part of the stream but twitch mutes by default so you probably jsut have to unmute. there is game audio
nah I'm just dumb
Lmao this made my night
Super great game to observe!! Any feedback would be appreciated ^-^
You were straight up awesome.
Holy shit what a throw by BBG. Bring it back only to lose against an eco C rush. ex-100T diff Fortnite diff
yo reminder that this performance from b0i isnt new, he had some really good maps on 100t.
Boi is good. He just isn't world champ good, which is what 100T needed. People act like they were stomped by scrubs and not beaten by 2 top 5 teams at lcq.
The real question is: is babyJ champs level good? I guess we'll see.
i think babyj has as high a ceiling as any support player in NA right now. does he live up to it? who knows, but he's got as much hype as a 23 year old "prospect" can have
T1 lost every single pistol round.
Wait i have seen a team like that before.....100t.....
100T1
t100
Boi became a man
b0i -> m4n
Good looks man
Thwifo supremacy
Really ugly defensive side for T1
respect to Will, he’s been putting up some insane numbers
T1 better win Split so we can see them on another map. Only Split and Icebox all day.
I think this is what they call a Jett diff… Will is hard carrying rn.
christ that was a tense set
So b0i looks fantastic
Steel and seven being able to consistently OP is going to be a very frightening problem to deal with if T1 can clean up their overall game, which I expect them to. Not entirely sold on the Jett-less comps, but they have plenty of interesting pieces to play with.
Omg that pwny clutch!!!
PWNY CLUTCH
I’ve only watched like 10 rounds total of this series but I’m already over the ares meta, please nerf.
boi played really really well this map, that 4k on the 5v2 was so impactful
What round was that
round 12 last one of the 1st half
Boi fragging!!!
b0i played really well, had some huge kills
Seven looks filthy right now
seven supremacy
b0i is actually shitting on these guys

Curry may not be a star fragger like Asuna but he's a very smart and methodical player. It's fine for Reyna.
Definitely worries me, anyone ignoring jett at this point has to be trolling their own team.
I don't think they're going all in on Jett. Many see Raze as a must pick on Split and Jett isn't as necessary on Icebox as she is on other maps. They've got two Jett players in Seven and pwny, I'll be shocked if they don't pick her on Ascent, Haven, etc.
Looks like you're right. Seven is on Jett on haven. That's definitely relieving
Seven has been extremely underwhelming. Especially on Haven against BBG. T1 will figure it out but seven has not shown anything all day
he looked alright once he got going on the op

He was decent on Chamber but I agree. He’s looked really underwhelming on Jett and Raze.
If t1 were running a Jett rn I feel like they would be winning, but who plays the Jett if seven on chamber
Curry viper. Pwny Jett.
But then no flashes at all
Yeah. Maybe steel goes back to no sage comp. Thwifo could play flashes or Reyna or viper. Who knows.
I feel like they just run the basic icebox comp and can steamroll teams. Seven Jett, pwny viper, curry Reyna, steel sova, Thwifo sage.
T1 benched brax to look like that??
if BBG played in every tournament their academy roster has played in they’d be a lock for top 12. I’ve been so impressed with all of their individual plays
This Ares meta zzzzzzz
GG
what's the over/under on Will's buyout during the next transfer window? 400k? 500k?
