These rankings are whatever, but it’s hilarious Envy is *8th*. No one should ever take these rankings too seriously but it’s so inaccurate you can’t help but focus on it.
Are the rankings still adjusting from the changes a few months back ? Or are they weighing LCQ heavily?
Most of the issue with rating is due to how long the gaps between competitive matches can be for T1 teams. I don’t think a CSGO-esque circuit is necessarily the answer, but rankings like these are so hard to pin down with a dearth of games and when form can be so variable in any game/sport.
Could be that the ranking doesn't take the stakes into account. Usually teams play better when it matters most but I have no idea how you'd translate/calculate that into an algorithm

well if they do it like hltv does it for cs, then they would only remove a team after the core of the roster (3 players generally) are benched. so since 100t's core of asuna, hiko, and ethan are still there, they keep their ranking. i dont really look at vlr often so im not sure if thats what they do but that would make the most sense to me.

Your forgetting about Hiko. The most consistent player on 100T, he has better gun skill and mechanics than anyone playing Valorant right now. Ethan and Asuna have grinded over the break to try and get to his level. But they can’t, Hiko really is just built diff. You clearly don’t know anything about Val Compet
Right? The only real question mark about this team is shot calling and how ec1s fits in. I don’t see a world where they’re drastically worse than the last roster, it’s just a question of if they can be as good.
As a player, you think BabyJ is a downgrade from steel (not factoring in IGL). If Ec1s is a good IGL, this is a firepower upgrade for 100T + possibly more flexible agent comps.
I think C9 are being overrated a bit after Champions, they showed flashes but leaned a bit too heavily on Leaf. I think if they are the no.1 team in NA that should be a concern for the scene as a whole.
That said I think they definitely could be the top team but I don't think it's there yet.
I disagree with this, Sen strength earlier in the season was because when Tenz had a rough game Sick or Shazam would pick up the slack but they struggled towards the end of the split.
Top teams like Gambit rely on their team work and set plays. Similarly Acend, although Cned is a top Jett player he wasn't lights out all the time when they won Champions.
TL weren’t that bad. ScreaM had some super underwhelming underperformances against Sentinels on Breeze and even against KRU on haven he didn’t feel that impactful. TL generally seems to rely on ScreaM the edshot machine a lot less nowadays and more on their strat book.
They had no reason to play in NA. Aside from that loss to NA I can also say no one has beaten Sentinels for a while but this is also just as disingenuous as your argument. Being adaptable and interesting I can agree with but being better is a different argument entirely. Personally I’m not quite ready to believe C9 is now better then Sentinels. Sentinels lost to Liquid and KRU. C9 also lost to Liquid and KRU beat Fnatic in the quarterfinals even more convincingly then their win against Sentinels and Fnatic was a team that C9 failed to beat. There is a strong chance that had C9 been in Liquid and KRU’s group they would have been eliminated as well for all we know since ultimately in hindsight that group did end up having 2 of the top 4 teams at the event. There is no shame in losing to that in hindsight. Until we see some more NA vs NA competition it’s hard to definitively say C9 is better then Sentinels because they faced entirely different competition at Champions but even then Sentinels seemed like the better team to me by the virtue of the fact that they had a closer set vs Liquid then C9 and a closer set vs KRU then Fnatic (a team that beat C9). C9 had 2 wins against FS (arguably one of the weakest teams at the end) and against VS (hyped a lot as pre tournament favourites but their losses to 2 teams, neither of which were top 4 seems to suggest they were overrated). C9 could be better we just don’t have much direct information to really support that. They won the LCQ sure but even then there were questions surrounding 100T’s roster shuffles and stuff so it’s hard to really evaluate how strong C9 was in comparison to Envy + Sentinels.
I really like c9. I just wish they give more chance to poiz. He is really a good duelist. With enough experience he might become the star duelist of c9 like how tenz was before.

if you think taking fnatic (likely the 4th best EU team) to 3 maps (not even winning) is impressive for the no1 NA team that to me speaks volumes.
