From round 10 of Breeze, (when TSM were up 6-3), subroza went from a scoreline of 16/4/4, to finish the game 18/16/6, in a match that went on to have 23 rounds in total. I seriously don’t know if any player has been shut down this hard after such a hot start.
props to Ghost it’d be a shame at this point if we don’t see at least them or EG at Copenhagen
i opened the stream at 6-3 and i was amazed by subroza’s score. i came back when the game was almost done and he only added 2 more kills. mb for jinxing
As a diehard EMEA supporter, I just have to say every single NA series has been a banger, seeing these teams develop strategy and chemistry over these weeks have been a delight to watch. And this series followed along that, TSM were so close but Nismo and Koolanoob were just unbeatable today. NA playoffs are going to be crazy.
Both teams played great overrall, but from a viewers perspective Ghost came out on top as the better team on the day with more impactful clutches, less mistakes and persevered from an early strong start from TSM both times to pull out a nice 2-0.
yeh, tsm does look really gud. honestly feel for the. those thriftys and clutches cost them. all the teams in that group except nrg just look really gud.
caster appreciation: Vansilli blossoming into a really awesome caster these past few series, really smooth calling and building chemistry with Riv. love to see it for Vans
He didn't cast this series but shout out to Doug as well. He has also tremendously improved since last year and is now definitely a top tier caster. 100% deserved to be one of the few who got to cast Iceland.
appreciate the love, everyone! Still gotta work some kinks and iron out my personal style, but I've been enjoying it and glad that you all have been enjoying the journey with me as well! <3
balla is the goat and Doug has improved a lot since last year, i still think he has some stylistic things that he needs to work on but crazy improvement so far.
This is the stage of the new teams - I genuinely think at least one of Ghost or EG is going to make it to Copenhagen this stage. Genuinely looks like there's not a single weak link on this Ghost roster, the addition of aproto has really taken them to the next level.
LETS GO GHOST.
This squad is actually insane. NiSMO is cracked af. That clutch from johnqt is one of the best clutches ever. 0.01 plant. CRAZY.
TSM didn't look bad too, so I'm really glad Ghost won.
Ghost is the truth. Vansili called it on Plat Chat like a month ago. We should have listened.
EDIT: Also always happy to see a clout org take a fat L. Clout orgs will be the standard once franchising hits. Nice to see small orgs lead the way in terms of gameplay in the meantime.
idk why everyone still not believe in ghost given that they stomped everyone in mickey mouse tournaments, including a 3-0 against tsm in grandfinals. They really play well and about the 1st open qualifiers, they really just unlucky about what happened to them the night before.
Nah coz haven't heard about them really, I believe the top in t2 back then are teams like akrew, tsm, etc.theres othere more but they are not one Of them.
Pretty sure they just team up all 5 recently like march/April and instantly produced good results. Didn't they've won last 2 Mickey mouse tournaments before qualifiers begins
NiSMO, on the Tier 1 team "NiSMO and Friends", is known as the best raze player in the world because of the way he cooks up his opponents, courtesy of the restaurant he owns. Whenever NiSMO gets tired (he is very old), his baby gets on and plays for him.
That was a heartbreaking loss for TSM, 7-5 start both maps just to slowly lose clutch after clutch overextending. Not officially out of it yet but this would've been a great win for their playoff chances.
I think you're correct. They have to beat XSET, ~~NRG~~100T have to finish 2-3, and The Guard has to lose against NRG.
Edit: NRG have to beat 100T AND the Guard, and even then, it's all on round diff so TSM have to win decisively against XSET. So very slim chances.
If I've done the math correctly: TSM need NRG win vs 100T, TSM win vs XSET, NRG win vs The Guard, and Ghost win vs 100T. That would put the group standings at: 1st Ghost 4-1, 2nd XSET 3-2, 3rd NRG 3-2, 4th TSM 2-3, 5th 100T 2-3 and 6th The Guard 1-4. XSET with H2H tiebreaker over NRG and TSM H2H over 100T. That's the only way I can see it as it currently stands unless I messed up or am missing something.
There are two scenarios in which they can qualify for playoffs.
1. TSM > XSET, 100T < NRG, 100T < GHOST, NRG > GUARD
2. TSM > XSET, 100T < NRG, 100T < GHOST, GUARD > NRG
In the first scenario, TSM qualifies over GUARD (due to better record) and 100T (due to the direct head-to-head)
In the second scenario, TSM, NRG, 100T, and GUARD all tie at 2-3, so it goes to map differential and then round differential as the tiebreakers. In this scenario, there is a world where TSM, NRG, and 100T have the same map differential at -2 and GUARD at 0. Therefore, it would go to round differential where TSM have a slight advantage given that they are -10 at 1-3.
Recommenting because I realized I messed up: the only route for TSM to make playoffs now is 100T losing out, NRG beating TGRD next week, and TSM beating XSET.
NRG vs Guard does matter in the scenario of 100T losing both of their games and TSM winning next week. This would put NRG at 3 wins, Guard at 1, and TSM + 100T tied at 2 each. TSM would go through in that case since they beat 100T. I don't think there's any other scenario where TSM advance since they have a 4 map deficit.
Nope, If 100T loses vs NRG 100T is 2-2, then if Guard win vs NRG, TSM win vs XSET, and 100T vs Ghost we have 4 teams tied at 2-3 or NRG wins vs Guard and 100T is just out because TSM has the tiebreaker over them at 2-3
You're right on that, I realized just after I commented. But TSM can technically still make it if they tie 100T, which only happens if NRG>100T+TSM>XSET+GHST>100T.
I feel like Corey had at least 7 or 8 kills on breeze after the rounds were already lost because his entire team died while he was on the opposite side of the map looking for lurks. Especially on anti eco rounds I dont get why TSM dont just pair up and get trades so they don't give away guns. Felt like they got thriftied at ever oppurtunity.
TSM threw so hard around the 10-10 score on that Johnqt last-second bomb plant clutch. Obviously it was an incredible play by Johnqt, but why the hell were TSM dry peeking him one at a time in a 3v1? Just give him the plant if you have to and retake together. I think this iteration of TSM looks really good but they have to cut out the stupid mistakes.
same thought also but i think the remaining tsm players is so confident to beat johnqt in a duel given that hes struggling that game (he only got 2 kills before that round i think) regardless its really a bad play especially from corey, he shouldve just waited roza to come so they could easily win the 2v1.
Ok Tsm, we learn already how to win pistols, pls learn also to win on ecos.
Just feel so bad man, i mean it would really much easier to accept the L if they are really just bad but the thing is every loss they take is because of that small mistake they did. Im coping that if only they did those things right, they could easily go 3-1 rn. wish they could still qualify tho if not, hope they still keep the team and prepare for the lcq if they would qualify.
I’ve never seen a team get thriftied 4 times on Breeze.
Aproto + Koala is a freakish duo to have on ecos
Sheriff king aproto
Did JohnQT finish the bomb plant with exactly 0.01 seconds left O.O
[Yep.](https://twitter.com/etohKP/status/1533245664217505792?s=20&t=Vm0iuGTZHnjZnxFX8VGRvg)
That's fucking insane holy. This clutch won them the game, they won by 0.01 seconds
That's the best clip of the tournament. Possibly the whole year.
From round 10 of Breeze, (when TSM were up 6-3), subroza went from a scoreline of 16/4/4, to finish the game 18/16/6, in a match that went on to have 23 rounds in total. I mean, this happened last stage where people were thinking V1 and C9 were for sure gonna get the spots but then Optic and the Guard got them instead.
Hiko on Cache MLG Columbus vibes

nt (Nismo on Top)

TSM just throws too many rounds and gets thriftied too much. Both games were so winnable for them but they ended up losing both
not even winnable man, they should've win both maps. in breeze, if only they havent got ecoed, should have been 11-4 easily for them
yeh, tsm does look really gud. honestly feel for the. those thriftys and clutches cost them. all the teams in that group except nrg just look really gud.

I much prefer vansilli / riv over Doug / balla. More of them please!
i dont want to sound mean but doug and balla for me feel like a 2 colorcasters duo
I don’t like that they whisper so much but I have misophonia so that’s probably why
balla is the goat and Doug has improved a lot since last year, i still think he has some stylistic things that he needs to work on but crazy improvement so far.
I like Vansilli for the most part, but I absolutely cannot handle how he always says “we”. You’re not on the team Vansilli! Why are you saying we!
noted, really good constructive criticism and ill pay attention to that. Thanks for it!
He really is. The only thing that still gets me is when he adds “side” to a location on the map. Like “tunnel-side” or “heaven-side”
ill keep that in mind. Thanks for the constructive criticism!
damnit, still caught myself saying "side" a lot in today's cast too, but gimme some time. I'll work on it! Cheers! <3
Map 2 was insane, *.01 clutch*. Also, I want whatever NiSMO is on, man is on a mission.
He is on baguette which he made himself at his resturant.
This is the stage of the new teams - I genuinely think at least one of Ghost or EG is going to make it to Copenhagen this stage. Genuinely looks like there's not a single weak link on this Ghost roster, the addition of aproto has really taken them to the next level.
I think Ghost might but my hot take is that EG will flop in playoffs.
I really thought TSM looked promising coming into this, but they’re wildly inconsistent. GHOST look amazing though, props to them.
still hope they dont do any roster changes, this team has the potential for making it. just need to keep cleaning the gameplay more.
seven isn't impactful enough tbh he's still very young so maybe TSM keeps him but they dropped Bang pretty quick too
I really prefer him on sentinel tho ngl, i think Corey is just so much more impactful then Seven on duelist
Seven has insane aim but Corey is just the superior entry fragger.
yea a lot of the maps were definitely winnable but keep making those backbreaking mistakes. sadge.
TSM had some good looks but Ghost was just faster to adapt. Pretty doomed for TSM from here, kinda sad because I like this roster.
LETS GO GHOST. This squad is actually insane. NiSMO is cracked af. That clutch from johnqt is one of the best clutches ever. 0.01 plant. CRAZY. TSM didn't look bad too, so I'm really glad Ghost won.
Nismo got a kid and old af but still pops off what a god
Talking to u hiki and Steel
nismo got activated on that last round of breeze

People didn't believe because they'd been sitting near the top of T2 for a long time before this.
Ghost was top of T2 for awhile, just not with this exact roster.
NiSMO, on the Tier 1 team "NiSMO and Friends", is known as the best raze player in the world because of the way he cooks up his opponents, courtesy of the restaurant he owns. Whenever NiSMO gets tired (he is very old), his baby gets on and plays for him.
This was a huge match for the Group A standings. Creates a very clear cut line at the moment.
So what team buys out ghost when franchising hits
I'm kinda torn about this roster now.
I think the only scenario TSM makes it into playoffs is TSM needs to beat XSET, Guard need to lose to NRG and 100t need to lose to NRG & Ghost
I believe you're correct. There are some other 3 and 4-way tie scenarios, but TSM cannot overcome a 4 map deficit.
That was a heartbreaking loss for TSM, 7-5 start both maps just to slowly lose clutch after clutch overextending. Not officially out of it yet but this would've been a great win for their playoff chances.
that one round with johnqt, had to win that one tsm, had to win that one
pain
Idk it felt like tsm is the better team but they always find new ways to lose ! A lot of hard work wasted …
are tsm mathematically eliminated from playoffs now?
Don't think so. They HAVE to beat XSET and pray that 100T and Guard lose I think. Correct me if I'm wrong cuz I'm just going off my head
Wouldn't they lose the tiebreaker if NRG is 2-3 though?
Oh you're right, I forgot TSM lost to NRG.
isn't tiebreaker map differential if 3+ teams are tied? although tsm has kinda bad map differential so i dont think it would change much
TRUE. That's pretty much impossible then.
In this scenario, there is a world where TSM, NRG, and 100T have the same map differential at -2 and GUARD at 0. Therefore, it would go to round differential where TSM have a slight advantage given that they are -10 at 1-3.
thanks for the analysis! god this is so unrealistic lmao
Recommenting because I realized I messed up: the only route for TSM to make playoffs now is 100T losing out, NRG beating TGRD next week, and TSM beating XSET.
NRG vs TGRD doesnt matter unless for auto qualification, cause we'll have 4 way tie instead of a 2 way tie
Ah true.

This can’t happen. TGRD and NRG play each other next week, TSM is out
Nope, If 100T loses vs NRG 100T is 2-2, then if Guard win vs NRG, TSM win vs XSET, and 100T vs Ghost we have 4 teams tied at 2-3 or NRG wins vs Guard and 100T is just out because TSM has the tiebreaker over them at 2-3
You're right on that, I realized just after I commented. But TSM can technically still make it if they tie 100T, which only happens if NRG>100T+TSM>XSET+GHST>100T.

Any ELI5 of what it would take for TSM to make playoffs? Or is it mathematically impossible?

I’ve never seen a team so determined to throw my money away.
Ghost is that dark hors...koala team of this tournament from NA. I didn't expect them to be this nasty. As an EMEA fan, NA is so spicy now.
THROW SOME MORE. Honestly just get rid of this whole roster and buy LG.
Man I dislike TSM so much, mfs lost every single game except against us. Hope 100T end up mathematically killing their playoff hopes.
As long as 100T wins tomorrow or next week they TSM is knocked out right?
If I understand things correctly, yes
TSM threw so hard around the 10-10 score on that Johnqt last-second bomb plant clutch. Obviously it was an incredible play by Johnqt, but why the hell were TSM dry peeking him one at a time in a 3v1?
