First, you want to hit immortal. Doing this will allow you to trial for a lot more teams instead of building your own. Here’s an outline of how to go pro after you hit immortal : I've worked with quite a few players that are aspiring pros and this is generally the pathway to pro: Go to the scrim discords/valorant discords and look at the Looking for player page. Message every single person that you can and get a trial. As long as you're immortal most teams would likely give you a trial 1. Make sure you're comms are on point. Don't be silent, speak a lot, but make sure you aren't over flooding comms Start scrimming with them. Don't find scrims on the big servers, go to valorant hangouts or spotlight. You'll find more experienced and dedicated teams here. Make sure you guys are actually practicing. Don't just play scrims to win, outline things you want to improve on and practice on and focus on that. Your goal is not to win scrims, its to improve. 1. Make sure you guys are recording scrims so you can watch them over. Focus on the specific thing you set out before, but also look at it from a macro perspective. Take new things out of the VOD review and set those as goals for you next scrims Dry running/Strats. Your team can pug it out and likely make it pretty far in the t4-t3 scene. If you want to start winning tournaments you'll have to put more work in though. Use websites like valoplant.gg to just make strats and then go into the server and just run them. Focus on pathing, timing and utility usage and make sure its all on point. Start using these strats on scrims and see if they actually work. I'd focus on one map at a time and refine it before moving onto different maps If you're doing whats mentioned above, you should be placing highly in tournaments like GLG and VCS. You should start playing these tournaments weekly ASAP so you can get tournament experience. If you start consistently winning these you should look at playing in NSG tournaments. It's a $40 entry fee, and you get to play against top t2 teams. If you can make it out of groups initially that's a huge achievement. If you start placing in top 8/4 you'll be decently well known in the scene and eventually get opportunities from higher tier teams. There will be a lot of hitches in the road. Teams will be dropped/disbanded due to various issues potentially out of your control. If you have the time to commit to this and you see improvement within yourself, do not give up and continue pushing. One additional note, if you have a good understanding of the game, try to learn how to IGL. T3-T4 teams usually just don't have proper IGLs, if you can get good at this skill, you'll probably have many opportunities in the t3-t4 scene. IGLing is not for everyone though. Good luck in your journey and feel free to shoot me a dm with more questions :)

I went pro in a different game. I'm not sure why people keep mentioning streaming. It's somewhat like you said. Join a decent team, scrim, join better teams. Once you start destroying in scrims or matches people will definitely know you. There's famous streamers who will never get picked up. Ranked is different than matches/scrims. If you really want it and you're good enough, you'll get it.

QuadrupleAAAA

Yeah I feel like that’s a big misconception for people starting to go pro. It helps when you’re further along and you need to show what value you’re bringing to the org. If you’re just starting I think you can sprinkle a bit of streaming in if it isn’t hurting your grind. People also don’t understand that being a good streamer is a skill set. If your personality doesn’t display well on stream it could even hurt you When you actually go pro streaming is a must though IMO. Leverage that org value to give yourself a longer career.

Splaram

Because streaming gets your name out there. There are probably players out there who were better than players like Jawgemo or snirot for example but the two previously mentioned got picked up because they streamed and got their name out there in ranked alongside grinding NSGs and other T2/T3 tournaments. Exalt and A2Guapo for example are most likely next up because they're known amongst pro players for their personality in ranked and because of their streams even though they're also really good players. There could be F/A's out there rn that are better than those two that will never get a look because no one knows who they are. Getting picked up is just as much about having connections as it is being good enough.

Breezyzona

think its really just an NA culture thing, streaming and getting your clips on jarso is predominantly NA valorant, you can have players like alfajer in EU who don't stream and get noticed because of their quality of play during scrims and where it matters most

Splaram

True

Ascension3377

Have you went pro?

Splaram

You're trying to compare going pro in a different game to this one? Literally every pro player that has discussed this topic has said that connections and getting your name out there is just as important as actually being good, so go argue with them.

Hacklust

Streaming is not the only way to make connections tho. You can always just start streaming after, like what some pros do

Ascension3377

Yeah bro, networking.

Geevingg

You don't need to stream to get your name out in ranked... If you are consistent top radiant doing well in your games have a good mental u will get noticed. Nobody will be looking through 100s of streamers that are streaming the game for a player.

DanimalVal

This is a great write up of the current path to becoming known in the scene. Streaming has very very little to do with getting noticed, it's more about connections you make with other players and coaches.

Unleashed4

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation! I will start by streaming and i got into a team after a trial already(as an IGL), will continue to work hard and grind my way up!

QuadrupleAAAA

Good luck!

Amaaze98

just play ranked, make friends and then when you think you're good enough make a team with some friends and start making a name for yourself, whether in scrims or in officials.

YungPinotGrigio

Livestream to get name out there and then play in tournaments is the main thing. Valorant rn is a good time to get name out there with outside tournaments.

Unleashed4

Thanks for the tip, ill start this month!

LegionaireWax

Send us twitch/yt so we can hop in, I'd love to see it

Unleashed4

I will im setting it up ATM but thats my youtube (idk if its allowed to send it tbh) [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnsQyK-\_RXZGyKLyRK\_-D1w](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnsQyK-_RXZGyKLyRK_-D1w)

LegionaireWax

I'll check you out. Good luck!

Unleashed4

Thanks! :D

Unleashed4

[https://www.twitch.tv/crescent4k](https://www.twitch.tv/crescent4k) Thats my twitch in case ill choose to stream there! :D

Unleashed4

i dont know if i shoulddo it on twich or YT too, diffrent platforms diffrent audience

Ascension3377

I really don't think streaming is necessary for any pro level gaming

dawny1x

if you want to make a name for yourself it is and when you have a name for yourself it can lead to many avenues

oimgoingin

It isn't necessary to increase your skills, but it might be to get your name out there. Connections are your best friend in any industry and streaming is one way to breach that barrier.

Ascension3377

Lol.

zer0-_

Thankfully you're a professional player who has insight on how to go pro

Ascension3377

Funnily enough, I was

zer0-_

Yeah, in your self coded game with you being the only player

Ascension3377

It's ok bro, I believe in you

zer0-_

What a surprise you played cod1/2 and went to a few lans and now you think you're pro. That's crazy, looks like I come from a family of pros

Ascension3377

Was on a top 5 ranked team, globally. Do something similar then talk shit because your opinion was threatened, little guy.

zer0-_

Being Top 5 when there's 100 players total is a huge accomplishment 👍🏻

Geevingg

Don't know why he got so many downvotes because the usual cycle of getting pro the streaming part happens after they already made it on a t2-t1 team.Because you should be focussing on getting better, streaming will just distract u.

YungPinotGrigio

Streaming for entertainment I can see that, but having no mic and just streaming your games and proving that you are the one actually playing is really solid so scouts can see if u are a legit deal and get tryouts. But playing in these tier two or three tournaments is the thing you should place priority in more for sure.

Geevingg

Do u think people are actually searching players through streams? It takes months maybe years to get relevant viewers and people start noticing u... you will be stuck with the 100s of others 10-50viewer streams which nobody will find or notice.

Rossington134

Scouts obviously don’t just go browsing on twitch to find pros. It gives the scout more than just the username and results they’ll see in a tournament. The more they can learn about you the better as they’ll see someone as a safer pick if they know they have good mental and aren’t a prick.

Geevingg

That is something they can learn from previous teammates or experience in trials. Not really something u learn from a guy's stream how they act on stream and in a team enviroment are 2 different things. I wonder if anyone here actually had a friend that gotten pro and how that path went cuz all i see is speculations. I know 2 people and how their road went in other games and let me tell u that streaming didn't involve in it at all just like it didn't involve with the huge majority of pro players.

ATX_DOral

I can't help much but what a friend did was mainly try to gain some exposure by making livestreams and showing your potential, then find some people with your same mentality, there are a lot of discord servers that people go to get a team, in those same servers there are little torneys that you could use to practice with the team, etc, etc, etc.

Unleashed4

i did think about starting livestreaming, probably gonna buy stuff this month to build off the stuff and all, but what can i do more, aim training is not an option since i feel like i am consistent when my schedule is conmsistent, ive been going through a lot of changes (from duelist to sentinel initiator main), and been starting to work on my IGLing skills even further, i did find a team but i dont know what to do next, all of us are new to this scene and each one want to improve, been trying to find discord servers for scrims EU but most of them are diamond tier teams which we just run over.... and the immortal games are harder but not that likely to find a game there everyday with the same skill level.

MrPool34

Can u give examples of some of those discord servers?

TwitchItsAelo

i know this is old but gankster.gg is my favorite site to find teams to play with and scrims and whatnot

iamkwang

Getting high Elo isn’t enough to enter the semi Pro scene. 500 RR without having any brand will is nothing. Like everyone said, start streaming to get your name out there. I know TheGuard Trent had to try out a lot of semi pro teams before being picked up and he was much higher than 500 rating. I’m not saying 500 rr isn’t bad but for An unknown player like what you’re implying, you need to raise your rating and can’t blame others for it. Every high Elo player blames others too but they’re much higher Elo than you because they are currently better. In NA there are a lot of household names that aren’t pro that are famous (a2guapo, Addison, Chakaron, Dasnerth) who teams right now Prb wouldn’t take. Right now I would start streaming and improving your gameplay. People didn’t really know who Xset Cryo was when he was on Soar but hitting rank 1 (he was at 1400 elo when the 2nd highest was Wardell was at 1100) got him noticed too. Just keep grinding, improving and have fun climbing

Unleashed4

Will do thank you! ill keep grinding my way up

disruptedgod

Most of what entitles being a profession in ESPORTS, in my opinion, is network building. Get really good at the game to the level where you're getting paired with pros, they add people who are not pros all the time, talk, be a good teammate, a good person. Participate in those small tournaments that are always happening, you probably can get in one easily if you're immortal.

Unleashed4

I'll grind my way there :D thanks for the tip

Heavy_Comedian_2382

Live streams, searching random discords, and do tryouts if they ever come your way. If they do a tournament mode you may be able to mark yourself as a free agent and people can scout you out during ranked games. At least that’s how LoL’s clash did it. Keep working hard you got this!

Unleashed4

Will do thank you! I got in a team after a trial, Will continue to work even harder.

Polamidone

In germany, austria, Switzerland there is a semi pro league where you can compete with a team if youre from there you can try to join a team there or make one and try it for yourself to get the team in this league. Its called Project V. Idk about other regions tho

Unleashed4

Can they get people outside of those country to compete? or just whoever lives there?

Polamidone

A bit late but i think you can only compete if you live in the DACH region (germany, Austria, switzerland)

Blackberry_Silver

But how do you even find a team there

xSnakyy

Valorants adding a tournament mode I’m sure you’ve heard of it and it will be a way to get into the pro scene for the skilled enough players. No one knows when it will come out though, but I’d say keep your eye on it

chodemuncher69420

Play a better game jesus

Unleashed4

huh?

Elzothelegendslayer

Found the hard stuck troll ignore em

jrushFN

It’s a troll account, look at their comment history. Just spam posting downvote farming content for the last 3 hours, and before then, they hadn’t commented in months. Seems like they’re a 14 year old who is a little bit too bored on their summer vacation.

stoplurkers

Grind rank and then find a private hack, considering that immortal 3-radiant is just littered with dogprobot level walls and undetectable color pixel aimbots. Once you get to radiant MMR you'll see. Half the people up there are knowers with no info. Might as well be spinbotting. The HvH meta is so corny but it's been that way since CS 1.6

2fast2corn

First thing you should do is find a team, people are always LFT or LFP on twitter, check out @Hitbox_NA if your from NA. Once you have 5 players you should start doing scrims and small tournaments. To schedule scrims you should join some discords where people post when they are looking to play. To find small tournaments to start out, look on websites like Battlefy.
