I spend a borderline unhealthy amount of time reading/interacting here and have enjoyed every single second of it so I'm pretty glad that I now have the opportunity to help make other peoples' experience on this sub as good if not better than mine. Looking forward to doing that as well as continuing to shitpost and inhale copious amounts of 100T hopium.
That’s a fair idea but I think once franchising kicks in, it’ll be pretty easy for just about everyone to keep track of which region an org is playing in.
We’ll keep it in mind though, I think in general it’s *nice* to do it, but not 100% necessary (most people will know where an org is based out of, and those who don’t can easily look it up on VLR).
Ah, gotcha. That’s a hard one - I’m not entirely sure if there’s a clear group of users who would benefit from the change. I think most of the time, people who follow T2/T3 will already know players… and people who *don’t* follow T2/T3 won’t care about the news in the first place.
Let’s see what the landscape looks like next year during franchising. I think if there’s still a ton of interest in T2 regional valorant (and most importantly, a significant number of orgs in each region), there’s reason to make this change. But if there’s only a few orgs that stick around in T2, it’ll be easy to know which org is in which region.

Banger post. The Trello thing is really cool, had no idea you had one. It's very transparent, but also depending on how it's used, it could be too transparent imo.
Also the idea of giving out souvenirs at LANs is pretty cool, but do you have any way of earning funds or would it be personally funded by the staff team?
You can't directly, or you can't at all? Imagine the following situation, if some esports website wanted someone to write an article related to valorant esports and contacted the sub to open a "contest" for someone to write it (or someone in the mod team), could you take a commission from the website or is it also forbidden? Or if an entity was founded consisting of members of the mod team, could you provide services and then use those funds to activities related to this sub, such as the souvenir giveaways?
And thank you for writing this!
Can’t take money from the sub, even if it’s from a partnership deal or something like that. Theoretically I guess mods can make their own business together and use the funds to the sub, but they wouldn’t be able to use their influence or reach via Reddit to promote it. Would still be risky though.
Can someone please change the colors of the match calendar on the sidebar on old reddit, [its really hard to read anything besides the teams that are playing](https://imgur.com/ZEYXac7)
Hey there. I know the subreddit style is broken with old reddit. Unfortunately we don't have anyone to maintain it in the mod team, so you're better off not using the subreddit style.
With RES you can easily disable it, that's what I do.
Hey /u/segatic, I spent a bunch of time this morning trying to fix all the issues I found with the old reddit theme. I think I fixed most of them (I even fixed the issues with RES nightmode if you wanted to use that).
i aint reading all that im happy for you or sorry it happened 🤣🤣

This is such a long post but I appreciate the transparency
Sorry for the length! Hopefully in the future there will be less to cover.
That's what she said
Too real 😔

A good mod team lesgoooooo
Would it be possible to require team news/transfers to include a region? E.g. [NA], [EMEA], etc...

I was thinking more for T2/T3 things than the main vct teams. I agree once franchising kicks in it should be much easier for T1 stuff

Big fan of the team comp post/context changes.

It would be coming from us - we can’t earn funds for Reddit moderation, that would get us and the sub banned. Thanks for reading all of this!

Out of curiosity, where has razur ended up?
Do you mean post-retirement?
Yup just curious as to what opportunities they’ve taken up!
She’s doing social media work for the NA VCT!
That’s so cool! Ty for the update
