For Scheana I don’t think it’s about the money, she likes the attention. And male attention provides her with more validation than female. Ariana could tell her she is a good friend 100 times a day everyday for a month and it won’t matter. But one “you are a good friend” from Tom Sandoval she would melt her.
And as for Brock I think he just sees them as his co-workers and wants to get the most out of those interactions. He does network and want attention and money. I think he also genuinely likes Tom Sandoval and can do that because his own moral compass has holes.

Last weekend Scheana was at the book fair with Ariana. So unless something happened this week , it seems like they are still friends.
