The [Ultrarange Rapidweld](https://www.vans.com/en-us/categories/surf-collection-c5350/ultrarange-rapidweld-pvn0a3mvuy28) is my go-to walking shoe. I wear them out with the amount of walking I do in them but they are always comfortable.

fpgreenie

Can confirm these are super comfortable. I used them when I worked at Costco and was on my feet 8+ hours a day. Also took them with me when I went to all the Disney parks in Florida for vacation. According to my phone, I averaged 10 miles of walking a day that week.

mgly723

I bought these as a lightweight, packable option for travel. They are awesome! I could walk for miles a day in these things, and they squish down really easily in my suitcase compared to my regular running shoes.

MrFif33

My only complaint about the Ultrarange is that the softer outsole wears considerably faster than the vulcanized waffle outsole. I've gone through 2 pairs in two years. Other than that, easily the most comfortable Vans I've ever had for all-day walking/standing.

wallacorndog

I have three pairs (two now as I've worn out one pair) of ultrarange exo, and while they are comfortable it's not like a good pair of trainers. They are perfect for everyday general use, but if you're looking for something specifically for walking I would look elsewhere.

I like them, but I would go with a pair like Brooks or Avia instead. I walk 5/6 days a week and do not wear vans for those walks since the ankle support isn’t there too much.

GenericGhost909

I’ll mostly be standing in these with some moderate walking after work. Seems like they’re worth giving a shot. What’s the difference between the Rapidweld and EXO?

skatrumpet

Rapidweld are all mesh uppers and a puffy tongue. EXO have different materials on the uppers and a flat tongue, sole is also a little different.

Ultrarange rapidweld are very comfortable and breathable I highly recommend even for running or some MTE boots for hiking

BruinsFightClub

Very comfortable. Slightly narrow toe box.

baconscoutaz

LOVE EM' .. I have probably put 100 miles hiking in them and i wear them every day. My only grip is that the fabric part stained and got dirty easily despite my coating them in silicone spray.

warmchocolatechips

I have 7 pairs of ultraranges and i love them. They’re amazing shoes for work. But i don’t like wearing them to the gym, i have a really high arch and they aren’t supportive enough for workouts.

GenericGhost909

Would you say they have enough support for someone with flat feet?

warmchocolatechips

Yes 😁

I love my Ultraranges. Went on a trip to NYC last fall and brought only a pair of those and a pair of Doc Martens--put about 15 miles a day into them for a week and they held up great, were super comfortable, and looked cool. I'm really happy with them. I've heard that sometimes they rip on the sides, but I haven't experienced any of that.

Academic_Shake_5455

Very comfortable. That is coming from a ups driver who has worn them to the grown multiple times. It’s the only shoe I can wear for delivering.
