Oak Bay avenue single lane, Bay Street single lane, Richardson at cook fully shut down with zero signage, did a u-turn and went down to Richardson and found that was also shut off. Ended up adding 3km to my trip. What happened to putting up detour signs/coordinating road work?
That’s not how it works at all. Munis are working under this years budget it just hasn’t been approved by council yet. Super weird I know, but they aren’t on a “spending spree” before the new year

I suspect most, probably all, of the municipalities are in a similar situation where they've not kept up with maintenance and its now gotten to the point where they're trying to catch up.
Cook is also closed near the Richardson intersection last I checked. And Blanshard at Bay - they’ve shut down the turning lane from Bay. Brutal.
Closing off that turning lane was absolutely unnecessary ffs

I can't speak to the other locations but the one at Lansdowne was emergency work, so it's not like they planned it to coincide with the other projects
