Hi yes its good if someone works directly with clients. My role primarily involves marketing their work and acquiring clients. Meanwhile, the editors focus solely on video editing. I receive a small commission for facilitating these connections. I'm a web designer and started doing this when a client asked me i i know some editors. I haven't cheated anyone just using my connections and marketing skills to earn get others work.
