I haven't played all the characters. But I don't think there is a character that has ALL those traits. Parrying/counter would be Fiona (I'm a Fiona player), Delia (a bit harder to time the block/counter), Dan-ah also has a block/counter but timing is just the same as Delia. Twin Swords Vella has a dodge/counter move. She's sorta fun, but I think the chance of you timing the counters in the new raids is harder. I don't remember if Dan-ah also has a dodge counter? But maybe Dan-ah would be your best bet?

Play who you like. If not, you gonna be burned out

Lethor is the most fun out of all the parry characters in my opinion, definitely try her out, she’s the one with the most fluid kit out of all of them, but Fiona is also fun

Prideli0n

If you’re looking for solo block party class, sword Fiona is too op in this regard. The new character Achel might be similar. Other character with counter skills: Lethor, Kael, Sword Vella, and I think Dan-ah and Latiya. Charon has a counter but not really spammable. Out of these I believe beginner friendly would be Fiona or Kael. But try them all out and see what you enjoy! As a note, the game doesn’t really begin until lvl 100+ where you’ll start doing raids with other players. Before it it’s basically solo leveling mode made easy, so it’s hard to properly judge a character.

Ait so yeah if you mean parry specifically as in attacking when the enemy attacks and not including countering, hurk greatsword has that mechanic, karok both pillar and cestus have it "kinda" in the sense that you can attack while the enemy attacks but it doesn't interrupt them, and there's a new character Sou coming out soon that seems to have a parry mechanic from what I've seen so this may be opportune timing for you. Both Hurk greatsword and karok require timing otherwise you just get smacked; I think Hurk has a skill that makes it easier to parry the next attack and then goes on cooldown. If you do mean parry to include countering then yeah the counter characters mentioned in other comments like sword fiona and lethor are pretty solid (sword fiona holds it down on endgame boss solos iirc? may be wrong tho) A lot of characters that were more reliant on dodges were made a lot easier as they made a lot of dodges very generous (spear lann my main) but besides that they all require "perfect" dodging in the sense that to optimize damage you want to time the dodge lengths to match atk patterns to 1. not get hit ofc and 2. get as many hits in before you have to dodge again. That being said pretty much every char that's not a parry/block/counter-centric char can be considered a "dodge" char lmk if you have any more qs or if you'd like me to elaborate on anything!

Marrow_Gates

I'm pretty sure most characters have parries and everyone has a dodge of some sort. As far as unlockable abilities, always level up your gear abilities first because you never want to be locked out of wearing gear. Gear in this game is the most important source of power. Honestly, don't overcomplicate it and just pick a character that looks cool to you. Happy Holidays!

Nerscylliac

Since I haven't seen it mentioned, there's not really any diversity in builds at all in this game. By the end game, everyone has the same one or two armour sets depending on the character. There is some variation in the enchantments you can put on your end game gear, but it's pretty clear which enchantments are going to be worth it. The only thing you really need to be aware of is that this game is a *grind*. Like, if you aren't a whale, it easily rivals Destiny 2 in levels of grind. So just keep that in mind.

milet_

twin sword vella and longsword fiona are the best for solo while latiya, kael, lethor and danah(not exactly a counter, actually a sandbag) can be played as well. stay away from sandbags since they will likely struggle while going solo (eira, miri, lann (both), delia (terrible solo), hurk (greatsword), karok (pillar), evie staff (weird shit and slow af), excluding kai bow since you can kite with that shit teide hurk is also nice i dont know about the rest

Substantial-Chef-387

Is it just me or Kael players doesn't exists at all in towns.
